    Gyro salad

A true local gem. As someone who has been to Greece, I can say these flavors take me immediately to the Mediterranean. And the down home cooked Taverna food! We normally get the lunch combos either the gyro or the gyro salad. The value for the quality and size of the portions is on point. The meat is perfectly seasoned and crispy. Fries are insanely good. Tzatziki is fresh! Home made!! Highly recommended as a quick lunch spot but also probably good for dinner. I need to try the Mousakka!

Everything was delicious and tasted fresh and flavorful! The woman who I assume was the owner and operator was the only one there when we went and she still made conversation with us and was so sweet with my girls. The pita was so tasty and fresh and warm. The dips were amazing. There was so much food we took nearly half home (except the baklava of course. That was finished then and there). My daughter really enjoyed the soup. We weren't sure what lemon soup was but ended up being kind of like a vegetable soup with maybe barley in it? Quite excited for the leftovers as lunch tomorrow!

We decided to try this place and are so glad we did! The man behind the counter (presumably the owner) was very welcoming and kind. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! It was pretty slow (only 3 tables were there the whole time we were there) but they seemed to do a lot of to go orders.

The photo doesn't do it justice, this sandwich is HUUUGE! It's got the most meat on it I've seen on one, it's a mess to eat (don't attempt this while driving) but oh so good! The tzatziki and all the ingredients are super fresh, the fries are perfectly don't, a tad light on salt, but that's an easy fix. Definitely give this place a try! The family running it seems very nice and you can tell they are passionate about their business, service is fast but the product isn't compromised.

Lunch combo- gyro, fries, and drink.

Great service. Food is delicious. And I'm a picky pregnant lady! Will definitely be coming back with my husband. Amazing portions on their lunch combo. I have been graving a gyro and this one was so fresh and delicious.

Gyro with the special I WON'T ATTEMPT to spell it sauce it was decent and full of meat.

I had a taste for lamb so I stopped by to see what they had and the woman was very helpful. I need to try to use their WiFi cuz that area SUCKS for service so I appreciated her help. Next time I'll get the combo and sit down and eat cuz I took this to go.

This a small restaurant, nice and clean, there's only one person working there and she's the sweetest. We didn't know much about Greek food and she was extremely helpful describing the menu and helping us to choose what to eat. The food is delicious, we're definitely going back.

Looking for something fresh and light, we found this place on YELP! (Always best to eat before the Costco run!). What I couldn't believe was this place has been here 5 years, almost 250 reviews, and I still hadn't heard of it! That's a real #hiddengem right there! There was only one lady working, and I felt she might've been the owner. She cooked, she cleaned, she served, and she smiled-- A LOT! And watching her knife skills on the gyro cone was impressive! I cannot say if this is Halal or not, but there are vegan and vegetarian options here! We started with the appetizer sampler: 4 dolmas, 4 spanakopita, 3 falafel, black olives, hummus, tsaziki, and pita bread! Plenty for 2-3 to share! The gyro was mounded high with meat, and full of veggies! Highly flavored, and delicious! The pita was hot and delicious! Of course, we had to end with baklava. This redeems most of the sadness I've experienced inthe baklava world! Full of nuts, with phyllo puffed high, and tons of high flavored honey! I doubt I'll eat baklava anywhere else, ever again! Easy 5 stars for great food, and great service!

Everything is so fresh and delicious, we had the gyro with salad and one plate can pretty much feed two people. A lot of food! The service is great and the place look always clean and organized. I definitely recommend this business.

Again, I'm so disappointed in myself that this hidden gem is right around the corner from our home. We saw the reviews and came over for a Saturday night date. One of the things that struck us right away is how friendly the owners are. It looks like a family business and they went out of their way to help us and welcome us in. We decided on the hummus plate as an appetizer. Wow! That pita bread was so warm and fresh. Great flavor in the hummus and loved the olives. Tons of pita and didn't even finish it all when our dinner came out shortly after. We didn't wait long and loved watching them carve the fresh lamb from the rotisserie. They Gyro Plate is huge. I ate all the salad because with tastes so good. Not an ordinary side salad. This has so much in it and that dressing was awesome. Then I got to the Gyro. It's so stuffed with goodness that I had to eat some of it with a fork before I could take a bite holding the pita. We absolutely loved the Gyro. Put this place down on our regular rotation. We'll be back!

Food was delicious and big portions. Plus, we didn't have to wait too long the food. Very kind and friendly customer service. Restaurant was clean and great place to just sit and enjoy a meal with family. Would definitely recommend to stop and try. Specially the gyros.

It was slightly louder than normal on a Friday night but that's just because of the tables that were louder than normal. They had a piano player that was really nice. It might have to do with my hearing not being the best at older age too! We started with the combination appetizer plate of Babaganoosh, Tzatziki, Hummus. It come with a big basket of fresh pita bread. Oh my loved every bite. The bread was warm and the dips were so tasty. I had the pita plate with the best meat I can remember. My wife loved her mixed grilled/combo plate with soulvlaki chicken, soulvlaki beef, kefta kebab. She was kind enough to let me taste some of it and it was delicious! Can't wait to have another date night soon and go back!

Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the promise. And I was soooo bummed because Mediterranean food is my fave. And having gone to both Greece and Turkey many times, I was hopeful. The food was the problem. The vegetables were severely overcooked. The chicken was dry, and the rice was unfortunately crunchy. My husband had similar complaints about his meal, so overall it was a disappointing experience. It's a shame, because the place itself has such potential. I really wanted this to be a new local favorite. I will definitely go back with a friend, and try it again once day. On the bright side, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, truly some of the most hospitable service we've experienced. This definitely wasn't a service issue; everyone we interacted with was wonderful.

So of course, opened the Yelp app and once again the Yelpers didn't steer us wrong. Went for lunch and had the buffet to try a little of everything. There was plenty of variety and it was all fresh and hot. Have eaten at some buffets and the gyro meat is thin and dry but not at Al Wadis. Have a good dessert selection as well. Rice pudding was awesome and some of best I have had. Of course had some baklava and if the apple cake is out give it a try. If in the area I would not be afraid to go to Al Wadi's. Apparently lots of others love it too since the place was packed for the lunch buffet and many others picking up take out orders. If didn't live over an hour away I'd be here at least once a week.

It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.
