After my first visit, I completely understand why. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed and kindly guided through parts of the menu I wasn't familiar with. Mediterranean food usually isn't my go-to, so I appreciated how patient and helpful they were without making me feel out of place. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with tzatziki and hot sauce on the side, then sat at the barstools near the food prep area while I waited. Watching the owner prepare the food was honestly part of the experience. At one point, he came over and insisted I try their tea. I initially declined, but he smiled and said he'd only pour me half a cup. That small act of kindness and hospitality genuinely sold me on this place. The restaurant was clean, quiet, welcoming, and smelled incredible. And yes, absolutely try the tea. It was a custom Earl Grey blend made specifically for them, and it was fantastic. When I got home, I was surprised by how generous the portions were for the price. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The spices were used perfectly, the produce tasted fresh, and the food even held its temperature well by the time I got home. I've only been here once so far, but I already plan on becoming a regular, probably at least once a week. Y'all are doing an amazing job, and I'm really glad I found this place.

The meat was tender and incredibly flavorful. They also started the table with some bread which was welcomed and fresh! The vibe here is truly unique and really makes you feel like you've stepped into the Mediterranean. I would love to come back and have some coffee next time! Service was great: friendly, quick, and always very accommodating. This is truly a one of a kind restaurant in Fort Worth! Definitely don't want to skip this spot!

This place does Turkish food justice and has so much cultural charm with the decor and warm, cozy atmosphere. We started off with the complimentary bread, which was fresh and warm. I do wish that it came with an oil dip, but it was nice to have with my meal. For my entree, I ordered the lamb gyro and absolutely loved it. I sometimes find an issue that dishes at Turkish/Middle Eastern restaurants can be salty, but it wasn't here! The salad it came with did have a bit too much pepper for my liking, but the tomatoes were incredibly juicy. Overall, the meal was delicious and light. The staff was kind and attentive, but we were also the only customers there on a late Tuesday afternoon. There's a dedicated parking lot for Flying Carpet, which is a huge plus especially for it being on Magnolia avenue. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back!

The food is phenomenal, they have a family combo for four that is perfect for a family of 4-6 people, the portions are so large we always have leftovers. Amazing baklava, hummus and baba ganoush. Good salads especially if you love sumac-based salad dressings (which I love yum). The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful with pictures of Istanbul and the traditional lanterns. Great place and right in the middle of Southlake, so no need to trek to Dallas for great Mediterranean food.

We were greeted and seated right away. Service throughout was warm and attentive, our server checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. They started us with warm, crispy bread and a yogurt-based dip that was quite flavorful. I ordered the lamb shish kebab platter (well done), and we also tried the chicken shish kebab platter. Both came with buttery rice, a fresh salad drizzled with olive oil, and yogurt sauce. The chicken was tender and properly seasoned, but the lamb was the highlight. Lamb can easily turn dry or overly gamey if not handled right, but this was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor even when cooked well done, exactly how a good shish kebab should be. I skipped dessert this time, though they offer a few options, and I noticed what appeared to be a buffet setup, which I'm curious to try next. Overall, a solid, well executed Mediterranean meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The Greek salad was so fresh, perfectly cut and a wonderful dressing. The salmon was moist and perfect. The star on my plate my have actually been the grilled veggies. I looked at the star rating but did not notice that many reviews give 4 stars but the review is not worth 4 stars. In general, the food was really disappointing. We started with a dip platter. The hummus was some of the most bland hummus I have ever had and the pickled vegetables lacked any punch. My wife had what was supposed to be flat bread layered with beef and lamb. When it came out it looked and tasted like tortillas with layers of chili. I had the salmon kabob. The salmon was overcooked and had no seasoning at all. The ambiance of the place is really great and the service was good. I'm not often in Fort Worth, but when I am I would go to King Tut's instead.
