I was not expecting such an awesome experience at Greek City Grill. Granted, I didn't know what to expect, as I have never been before and hadn't even heard of it until my friend arranged a lunch meet there. What I am getting at is I wouldn't go here otherwise because I typically do not venture to Greece for cuisine often. It is not really one of my go-to's but after the experience at Greek City Grill, I am thinking it should be. See, I am not a huge fan of lamb and many Greek flavors have thrown me off. However, I absolutely love lemon rice. Funny enough, when visiting Greek City Grill, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because there were a few things calling my name. For one, the D-Will sounded like it would be a total hit. Their burgers were also recommended to me. I ended up asking my friend which one I should get and he said the burger, so I took his word for it. While I was only able to decide on my meal because of my friend, I was not able to decide on my side option and ended up getting both the fries and the lemon rice. I pick my battles, soldier. The lobby itself can get quite crowded, especially during lunch hours. Although, there is plenty of seating to the right and many people take their lunch to-go. They are also equipped with a speedy drive through for those sneaking over to the Greek City Grill for lunch before your boss notices your Teams status has went yellow. Don't fret, Greek City Grill seemed to be getting people in and out of the line in record breaking time. The burger came out before I was able to sit down. I'm not even kidding. It was so fast and everyone else in my group got their food very quickly too. The burger had been recommended to me by a friend that wasn't even with us when we went for lunch. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical of a burger being good at a Greek restaurant, but boy was it. It was cooked just right and all the ingredients felt "real". Many burger chains nowadays have all kinds of additives, I am not even sure it is 1% cow. However, the burgers served here are legit! The fries were great and I appreciated that they came with sauce. This is a busy, busy place, and they are only open from 11-2 on weekdays. My daughter keeps telling me I need to check this place out the food is sooo good. The fries only come in one size, and they are coated before cooking to give them an extra crunch. This place is loud and bustling with lots of people waiting for their takeout order. The staff is communicating by yelling their commands. It's lively for sure. We were going to sit at the counter and eat there, but after waiting for our food I decided let's just go home and eat. I was sitting literally right by the sliding glass window for the drive thru. It kept opening every couple minutes (or less) and a rush of cold air came blowing in on me. I was so disappointed in my chicken salad. The lettuce was on it's last legs and the chicken was old and tough. A couple of small slices of tomato, a couple banana peppers, two or three small slices of cucumber, topped with their greek salad dressing, that had no flavor. There was a sliver of lemon I squeezed on the salad. It didn't help. My daughter liked her kabob's and rice which we ate in front of her big screen TV watching "The Long Way Up" which I have to say was a heck of a lot better than the salad I couldn't finish. (The fries were good, but such a little bag for $4, and I didn't care for their fry sauce. Glad my in-person meetings were over by lunchtime because Greek City Grill's falafel were extra garlicky! I like how they break the falafel up in soft-crunchy harmony to mix with the hummus and cucumber-chunky tzatziki; and then wrap it tightly so that you have to tear away the paper as you eat to keep the crumbly, saucy, delicious disaster inside contained. The fry sauce is skimpy but the battered fries were fresh and tasty. They over-ice the medium soda but will give you a refill (I found out after) if you ask. Not sure that it's fully worth the $4.50 combo meal upgrade, but the falafel pita sandwich ($8.65 with both sauces if ordered alone) sure hit the spot! read more

Absolutely terrible. The worst Greek food I have ever tasted in my life. The restaurant itself looks awful, and to make it worse, the air conditioning is set to freezing. I ordered the chicken souvlaki with rice and salad--what a disaster. The rice was soggy and vile, and the chicken was completely tasteless. I went back to try a gyro and only got lamb because it naturally has flavor, and while it was barely passable, it didn't redeem the experience. I will NEVER set foot here again. What an awesome little local Greek restaurant! Greek City Grill was recommended to me by someone who grew up in this area, and I was so excited to finally try them out. With the virus still around, their dining room isn't open to guests. However, you can still call in your order, or go through the drive through. I ordered over the phone and did curbside pick up. Service was super friendly and fast.Their menu isn't too large, but has enough diversity to please everyone! From gyros, burgers, salads, spanakopita, and even tiropita, they seem to have everything you could want! I ordered the chicken souvlaki lunch, which came with one skewer of grilled chicken, pita bread, and a side-where you can choose rice, fries, or a salad. The chicken was still warm when I got back to work to enjoy lunch. It was a perfect amount of food, and way healthier than so many other fast food options. Compared to the myriad other Greek/Burger joints about, Greek City Grill is a little nicer. They've still got a drive thru, but the interior feels more like an actual restaurant, as opposed to fast food eatery. Prices are about the same, so happy day! I stopped here on a Friday afternoon, and a darling cashier took my order, she sporting a crown of braids identical to my own that particular day. It was a funny coincidence, and she was lovely and helpful (but of course!). The owner, too, smiled welcome, and service was overall excellent. As I waited for my order (which was ready in five minutes, almost suspiciously fast!), I looked over framed articles displayed along the wall, and found my attention arrested by one proclaiming the glory of Greek City Grill's tyropita. Basically, it's spanakopita, but with cheese. I am as confused as you are regarding why I didn't order these, but most definitely will next time. The chicken on my Greek salad was decent, a little dry, but mixed in with everything else, just fine. I didn't use the dressing, as it seemed more oil than anything else, lacking any acid or much of a discernible flavor. A side of falafel was $3.50 and generously included a cup of hummus, however it was the teeniest falafel I've ever seen, about the size of half a ping pong ball, and looked a bit manufactured, though maybe they are just very skilled and uniformly shape each one. I really enjoyed lemon juice squeezed over top, even more than the hummus (and I really like hummus). Speaking of which... hummus had an additional flavor, I believe roasted red pepper, but it was tasty, if a bit thick. The included pita was fine. In the end, food-wise they were like their brethren Greek restaurants, but again, if dining in for that style of cuisine, this is a good choice. And that tyropita is calling my name! read more

Had a recommendation to try this place so I gave it a shot. It was well worth it, even though for me it was a bit of a drive for to-go. I got a Souvlaki Dinner w/Pork and rice, a Pastrami Burger and a Gyro. The Souvlaki was very flavorful. I have not had Souvlaki from a restaurant that was as flavorful and juicy as this. Really impressed with the Souvlaki! The Pastrami Burger was really good. The Pastrami was cut medium thick and instead of a mound of super thin Pastrami like I get at most Greek Burger places in town this is laid down just two slices deep. That was fine and it tasted perfect along with the grilled bun and tasty beef patty. The Gyro was the most run of the mill item, but even then it was done really well and was a larger than average serving compared to some of the more basic Gyro places around. Overall I was really impressed and if I have any reason to be in the area I'll definitely consider stopping by Greek City Grill again. read more

Closed on the weekends and only open til 8pm on weekdays. The souvlaki stick dinner is a takeout staple. Plenty of good food to satisfy your hunger. Mix it up and get a pork AND a chicken stick. I will not return to Greek City Grill. I recently rushed home to make it here before closing with my boyfriend. The owner was condescending and rude to me. "We haven't had halibut in months, ma'am." I asked for ranch with my salad and he said "Yep" and abruptly ended the conversation, similar to being hung up on. He didn't take the time to even tell me they didn't have ranch. This place is a classic and has been the heart of the community for quite some time. I often remeber it as a landmark in the area and it's been one of the few traditional fast Greek (grab a gyro, rice and fries) places that are still solid quality, fast, and provides options for a complete plate/dinner. The Gyros are on-point and always fresh, love the rice and perfectly fried fries. You can go in and pick-up here or dine-in but it is a fast joint. The only thing I wish this place had was a better fry sauce like some of the other places, Greek fry sauce is so good and I always crave it when I have the food from this place because the food is way better than other places but the fry sauce is just ordinary lol. Man I love this place! The food is fantastic and the owner, Bob, is just as good as they come. My favorite is the D-Will Special (an homage to former Jazz player Deron Williams who used to live nearby). It's a chicken pita with humus, lettuce, peppers, onions, feta, and drizzled with their house olive oil dressing. You can also get the off-menu version called the "Danowski" which is the same thing except with with romaine lettuce and tomato instead of peppers. The souvlaki dinners are also delicious. For sides I like the fries but the lemon rice or Greek salad are also great combo options. The only downside is that they've reduced their hours over the years and now close on Saturdays and at 8pm on weekdays. I haven't had a good gyro that reminded me of the one I got back east. I must say that the gyro i had today, was hot, juicy and flavorful.
