But i guess she is about liberty and justice for all, so i guess it makes sence there too! It is well kept up, although they should take care of the flag a little better. It was pretty tattered. If you cruise through Greely, stop and say hello!

Mike Medhurst, a local firefighter and his family are the people behind the "Greeley Grizwalds"…read morelight display. They have done a big light display every year from 1999 to present. Their house is decorated for Christmas and is ready for viewing the day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Day and the lights are turned on nightly from 5:30pm to 9:30pm Sunday through Thursday and 5:30pm to 10:00pm Fridays and Saturdays. The display is computer controlled with the lights synchronized to music every 30 minutes. The music is broadcast over a low radio transmitter. You can listen to the broadcast on your car radio on 90.3 FM while you check out the lights. I read that this year (2018) the display has over 180,000 lights. The display is amazing and is a lot of fun to visit. It's a family tradition for our family to go see the display every year.

Part of that initiative includes all kinds of art installations throughout the city including murals, statues and sculptures. Art Alley (located between 8th and 9th Streets in downtown Greeley) is part of that initiative. It's really cool to see folks fixing up and taking pride in their city!

I'm just here visiting so my lens of how I am viewing this city may be a lot different than someone…read morewho has to live here. I've been here almost a week and I have really enjoyed most of it. The first thing I would highlight is all of the unique art and murals throughout the city. I've included just a few in my pictures for this review but there are so many more! Also while walking around many art installations and sculptures can be found. The university is going to get its own review but I have found it to be beautiful, with huge trees and tons of greenery. This town has a lot of breweries and places to eat. We had some fantastic Mexican, Chinese, and American food on our visit. There is a population of homeless and underserved people in this community but I didn't feel threatened by any on my daily walks around the town. There is also a weird manure smell that comes in and out of the air. It reminds me of when farmers spread tons of manure back home son that is likely what it is here too????? Plenty to see, eat,hike and do while in Greeley. Recommended to check out at least once.

The food and service are consistently very good, especially for the price. The fresh pastas are the highlight, and I really like that you can create your own entrée by choosing the pasta, sauce, and proteins or vegetables. On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata appetizer with ham and pistachios, which was excellent. I had the paccheri pasta with a meatball and sausage. The pasta itself was great, though I did not care for the texture of the sausage link, which was too firm for my taste. The desserts were excellent. A nice bonus was that bottles of wine were half off on Wednesdays, and we enjoyed a very good Nero d'Avola for $25. Service was responsive, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The dining room is gorgeous, though I really do not like the chairs. They are small, wooden, uncushioned, and uncomfortable. Overall, despite the chairs and the sausage, this is an outstanding place for a meal.
