On special weekends they have bands play at the bar. The beach is easily accessible right across the street. They have a spot to rinse the sand off when returning from the beach. Rentals available for golf carts & kayaks. The management does a great job communicating with guests on a daily basis with the activities for the day making it very convenient. I recommend you bring mosquito spray as they come out at night sometimes. Also recommend to bring a wagon to carry things to beach and firewood & lighter fluid if you want to make a fire on the beach. This is our favorite place to camp at during the summer!

Electricity, surge protector is a must...ours activated three times in a two day stay, shut our camper off, the protector marked it as a brown out .... granted there was a windstorm but better safe than sorry. We ended up having to cut our stay in half because we needed to take our camper to the factory as we had some wind damage, naturally I did not expect any refund and did not receive one.

They were extremely welcoming and friendly. We extended a day just because between the amazing staff and environment at the KOA, along with the abundance of things to do in Galveston, oh and did I mention a beautiful beach. First, the positives: this is a beautiful campground with great amenities. The pool, hot tub, and lazy river are fantastic, and many of the staff members are friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about guests. Galveston itself offers so much to do--we especially loved spending time on The Strand and exploring the area. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is the management, which significantly impacts the overall experience. The park manager is unapproachable and runs the campground in a way that feels more focused on control and extra charges than guest satisfaction. Fees are added for things like early arrival, and communication often feels excessive and negative rather than helpful. While guests receive multiple daily texts about activities, we also received messages about things like dog waste in washing machines and stolen cleaning wipes--issues that could have been handled more professionally. There were also ongoing maintenance concerns both years we stayed. We experienced multiple days without water due to plumbing issues, and during our second year, the park was down to a single bathroom because of structural damage. We were told portable restrooms were coming, but they never arrived. Activities were amazing our first year, but the second year saw frequent cancellations. Even simple guest comfort requests--like putting down pavilion sides to block strong wind--were denied, despite those same features being used for staff events. Another concern is how complaints are handled. When an inappropriate interaction with a staff member was reported, there was no management available, and no follow-up from the manager afterward. That lack of accountability was disappointing. It's also worth noting that feedback appears to be filtered internally, meaning corporate oversight may not be getting the full picture. We also noticed an increase in police and emergency presence during our second stay, along with a shift in the overall campground atmosphere. To be clear, this could be one of the best campgrounds in the area--it has all the right ingredients. This RV park was great the first few months but the last few months we stayed there was horrible…read more We were next door to some kids who live there full time and have NO adult supervision. Someone is there with them but does not keep an eye on them. My vehicle was all scratched up while there and the bottom of our camper was dug in by kids and the owners are well aware there is a problem with the kids but have done nothing to correct the issue. When talking with the owner again about moving out of rv park due to continual issues they said there is NOTHING we can do. Why continue giving our money to people who don't care who they rent to? We pay way too much much money for our vehicles and our 5th wheel to have kids banging scratching and touching all over our belongings. Fellow RV owners beware at this park, we recently plugged in at site 18 on the 30 amp side and it…read moretook out the converter, refrigerator,microwave, and TV. Upon inspection we discovered the pole was wired incorrectly and had two feeds instead of one, the 30 amp outlet had a hot circuit on the Line side (which is ok) and it had a hot circuit on the Neutral (which is not ok, this should be a Neutral). At first the owner seemed concerned and had her electrician come out to the site, we hauled our RV in to the nearest repair center for an estimate/ repairs, two months later and $1,100.00 we finally got it out of the shop.

I met one of the ladies that works there (Mandy) and she was awesome and introduced me to Robert the owner and said he had rooms to rent for hotel. So I took up the offer and got a room. Very friendly service and have asked to see if they had any openings for my fifth wheel so I can move my RV down here. The hospitality has been great.

You can bring a cooler with non alcoholic beverages into the main pool area and you can take whatever you want (booze included) in to the lazy river pool area. The water in the main pool is COLD - at least on our visit...but our high temps were also around 85 with intermittent rain. $10 per person to get your arm band that is good throughout your stay. I didn't love having to wear one and I think a card of some sort would be preferred but in the end it's not a big deal. The beach was not my thing. Very rough and murky during our time. Nice enough sand but we traveled to Alabama the last 2 years and beaches there are much better. This place is 20ish minutes past the Galveston sea wall area so know that and plan for it in regards to groceries and other needs. Keep in mind...you are renting from individuals...so anything you read about carpet, cleanliness, etc is a reflection of the owners. Our unit was great and our elevator worked great too.

Make sure you bring plenty of groceries with you and store in the fridge because it's on the far west end not much access to restaurants or grocery stores takes about 20 or so min to get to a Walmart.
