It is a well-maintained resort, unfortunately when we were there, the restaurant was not open which was a disappointment. there are a few restaurants a short car ride away. Camp store is well stocked. More importantly, the property sits between two areas of wetlands, so be prepared for the mosquitos in the evening, they are everywhere! Be prepared, bring your own Wi-Fi, the resort Wi-Fi is not strong enough to support streaming connectivity or telecommuting. Electricity, surge protector is a must...ours activated three times in a two day stay, shut our camper off, the protector marked it as a brown out .... granted there was a windstorm but better safe than sorry. We ended up having to cut our stay in half because we needed to take our camper to the factory as we had some wind damage, naturally I did not expect any refund and did not receive one. read more

One of the best RV parks! Well maintained resort. You have the bay on one side and the beach right across the street! So many amenities to make this the perfect camping spot! They have trash pickup from your spot every day which is so appreciated. There is a nice pool, a clubhouse that they do activities for the kids, a delicious restaurant to enjoy breakfast, lunch & dinner, and a convenience store next to the restaurant. On special weekends they have bands play at the bar. The beach is easily accessible right across the street. They have a spot to rinse the sand off when returning from the beach. Rentals available for golf carts & kayaks. The management does a great job communicating with guests on a daily basis with the activities for the day making it very convenient. I recommend you bring mosquito spray as they come out at night sometimes. Also recommend to bring a wagon to carry things to beach and firewood & lighter fluid if you want to make a fire on the beach. This is our favorite place to camp at during the summer! read more

My friends and I were in the Bluewater Drift, the little store/restaurant/bar part of the resort, and it was a lovely experience. We were running around on the beach and came in for some snacks and something to drink. It was super cute and looked very clean inside. The staff were all very attentive and kind, shoutout to Donovan who helped us get some ice to help cool down more. We got the fried pickles and they were so tasty. The breading and ranch dip were flavorful, and the pickles didn't get soggy as we enjoyed them. Very reasonable prices as well. Thank you guys for taking care of us! read more

I stayed here for the second time in July 2025, and I'm honestly beyond frustrated. The pool is till cloudy and dirty....just like the first time. You could barely see your own feet in the water. Hairballs floated past us the morning after the so called pool guy "cleaned" it. He dumped in some chemicals, tossed chlorine tabs into the skimmers, and left. He didn't bother vacuuming or even cleaning out the skimmers. Disgusting. Large groups of people were in the pool openly saying they didn't want to walk upstairs to use the restroom so take a guess where they went. The bottom of the pool had so much sand I decided to wear my shoes. My family ended up skimming the pool ourselves just to get the floating hairballs and trash out. Stuff was floating everywhere. Just nasty. The upstairs showers weren't cleaned daily there was hair stuck to the walls and only ONE of the three toilets in the ladies' restroom actually worked. The middle shower doesn't even get hot. Completely unacceptable. At night the stairs to the bathroom in the clubhouse were pitch black. How is that safe? There should absolutely be lights down there for visibility and safety. My family booked one of the cabins at the front of the park and let me tell you the pictures online were incredibly misleading. They were tiny. No way to sugarcoat that. Both times I have been to this park the on site restaurant has always been closed for business. The on site bar only stays open until 5. Bottom line: I won't be coming back. This place just isn't worth the money. If cleanliness, safety, or basic maintenance matter to you, go stay somewhere else. read more

This RV resort is truly amazing! Our weekend was refreshingly simple, and that's exactly what made it perfect. Nestled between Galveston and Surfside, the location is secluded enough to offer peace and quiet, yet close enough for a quick trip into town if you're looking for more action. The resort offered a ton of activities for the kids all weekend, which made it easy for them to meet new friends and stay entertained. It really created a fun and relaxed atmosphere for everyone. The amenities were spot-on -- from the bar and pool to the trails and piers, everything was thoughtfully maintained and inviting. If you're looking for a place where you can unwind but still have options for fun and socializing, this is it. We've definitely found our go-to spot! You can access the beach via golf carts directly across from the entrance of the resort. Vehicle access is just a few minute drive. If you're looking for a great RV park down towards surf side and San Louis Pass, bluewater, I'd recommend Bluewater. We stayed in one of their new super sites with a covered patio, fire pit and charcoal grill. Having all three amenities in addition to full hookups made our stay (during inclement weather) much more enjoyable. They have a full service restaurant and bar onsite, along with a small shop for fishing supplies and corner-store food stuffs. All in all it's a solid rv park - modern, clean, friendly staff, and right across from the beach. read more

I can not say enough good thing about this RV resort. You can see the sunrises and the sunsets here. THEY are GORGEOUS. It's laid back, quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the Spoonville cottage aptly named as it's SUPER super tiny, however, what it lacks in space, the view, the cleanliness and even the SUPER sweet staff more than make up for it. They made sure we had everything we needed during our entire stay not just when we checked in. They were super accommodating. We honestly couldn't believe how much care was given into every detail. I normally re-clean each hotel room I stay at, and couldn't find one thing to re-clean, it was sparkling. The pool house, the area, even the beach around our area - they clean up! Then when we misunderstood about the restaurant ( another one is supposed to come soon!) The manager made sure we had all the info we needed to find a place nearby. (There is a food truck open Thurs-Sundays, otherwise, it's a 15 min drive currently) We are already planning our next trip back and can't wait. read more

The park was beautiful every RV site had very a level sure, manicured and green lawn and a patio area. The views from any site were spectacular. We didn't use the pool but just a beautiful area and you could relax in a lawn chair next to the canal. But most importantly they did not gouge you on rates! Highly recommend this. read more

Stayed at blue water RV park for over a week in August. I love this resort!!! And can't wait to return. All sites are full hookup, with your choice of gulf, canal or wetlands views. My site was an easy walk to the beach, the pool was fun and every morning I enjoyed walking their discovery trail spending quiet time with the local birds(sometimes I even saw flamingos), hermit crabs and fish. The resort is pet friendly and has a dog washing and off leash area, which my dog used most days after playing at the beach. read more

Dirk and his staff go above and beyond in making you feel welcome. And, they do a wonderful job of keeping the park in absolutely tip top shape. We stayed for a month when the infamous winter freeze hit. They stayed in continual contact with the guests that rode out the storm, even bringing cases of bottled water to sites when the storm knocked out water and power. When they easily could have been worrying about their own rigs (and no one would have faulted them), they made sure everyone was safe. And, the the end, they threw a nice party to mark the return of normal weather. The park itself offers prime beach opportunities, as well as access to the bay. So if you have a boat or kayak, it's really sweet. All in all, it's a great place to stay and we'll be back again next year. read more

Just ate here with my family, and to be honest a few things were cold. but we had a big group so I think that might've played a part in that problem. but for me personally my food was fantastic and exactly what I needed. I got the breakfast sampler and replaced my egg with potatoes .Also our waitress Gyzelle was very friendly,very easy to talk to and had a great smile. Quick review of our first impressions of this hidden gem... Bluewater RV Park in Brazoria County Texas! Blue Water RV Resort is a hidden gem in Brazoria County Texas. I say hidden gem because it's a new resort just about one year old as of June 2020 and new to us. What struck us first was the drive there. After spending time in Galveston which is packed full of tourists and tourist activities it was fun to cross the bridge over into Brazoria county and feel that we had come in contact with more of the Texas wild beach life that we were wanting to see and experience. When we pulled into the resort we were taken by the grand looking clubhouse which is actually the office, camp store and a restaurant wrapped by a beautiful deck with incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico! Although we have not tried the food in the restaurant yet it sure looks to be at least a four-star establishment. Next we toured the property by driving down the one main road of the property. Yes... this resort has one very long road (kind of a jetty). In the middle of this road/jetty is the actual clubhouse which has a pool and clubhouse room upstairs with beautiful views. Following our quick tour of the property we then walked across the street to the beach which was the nicest looking beach we have seen so far in Texas! And the beauty of it is that it's an easy walk across the 2 lane highway and up over a wooden boardwalk which is private property of Bluewater RV Park. We spent about 30 minutes on the beach talking to local fisherman getting fishing tips and just enjoying the walk up and down the beach on the hard packed sand which accommodates bicycles believe it or not. And that area has several miles of beach that you can drive on with your car which makes it nice to drive to a private area anywhere you'd like up and down Brazoria county beaches. Wonderful beach for fishing and relaxing! I will update this review after we have stayed at Bluewater RV Park. But... I really wanted to get my first impression because my first impressions are usually 99% right on! :-) read more

We just got home from staying here for an extended 4 day weekend. 2 of us families stayed in the cabins and they were clean, well kept, small and to the point. Very cute on the inside but very small. Just slept in there so it didn't matter! My brother had an RV and did the pull thru in front of us. It was so great. We swam a lot, the pool was beautiful. Loved the view. The docks had tons of fish and crabs around. We all (party of 6 plus 5 kids) went to the restaurant. It was good, short wait time. We would definitely visit again. read more

This resort is very nice. We went for a long weekend and then the hurricane changed path and they closed for safety reasons. They gave us a refund and all was well. My pet peeve was I wasn't asked what kind of dog I had. There was a lot of folks asking questions when I checked in so it was a simple oversight on their part. What really pissed me off was the owner lady came running out when she saw my German Shepherd and start accusing me of lying about my dog and insisting I tried to sneak her in. Well that would be a pretty stupid thing to do since you can see everything everyone else is doing and the beach is on the other side of the office. Just her attitude "Karen like" behavior was enough for me. All employees were very nice and the guests were also great. Ask if your traveling with a dog make sure you ask. P.S. my Shepherd is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. We switched her our for our Yorkie who's a raging little bitch! read more

Worst place i have ever stayed! The mosquitos are horrible and they do not spray for them at all. I tslked with the maintenance man and he sayed what do you want me to do. They are more worried about speeding on the roads than being able tp enjoy your time here. We stayed in the pink house on stilts super small it is a new york city effeciancy not a 1 bedroom. The only place to get away from the mosquitos is in your vehicle driving away. read more

We made the reservation less than a week before we checked in. Last week in December we booked for 2 nights. The resort was super clean and neat. Check in they were very friendly and helpful. Beach access was directly across the street (bonus) I only gave 3 stars due to it was not mentioned that the restaurant and bar were completely closed for business. The closest restaurants and bars were a minimum of 20 minutes away. Pool was not heated. We ended up packing up a day early and leaving to our next location to stay. read more

Absolutely the best place to stay at near the beach for a family that needs it all! Fishing for dad, pool for the kiddos and a nice quiet spot to watch the sunset and have a glass of wine for mom! After a last minute trip to the coast left us searching for a last minute place to set up our RV, we came across Bluewater! We thought we were settling after leaving Jamaica Beach RV Resort. Just the opposite! Staff was friendly and helpful! New large pad sites, young newly planted palms, a beautiful pool with bath house and game room! We drove around looking at various rv resorts near Galveston. Based on website we were excited to drive the distance from Galveston to check it out. First impression was how close the sites were to each other. The next impression was from an aesthetic point of view very plain. There were a few palms but that was it. Other resorts had beautiful oleander and palms. We much prefer Galveston KOA , Jamaica Beach resort and Stella Mare. Each have pretty landscaping and easy access to beach across the street. Lazy rivers plus pools in those resorts are nice too. For more spacious sites, KOA is great. From reviews, many people do like Blue Water resort... it just isn't for us. read more

This is our first stay at Bluewater. It's really a beautifully crafted resort. The staff is very friendly and what a bonus to have a bar and grill on the property! There's even a boat ramp for guests! The lanes and sites are paved, which is always great. The only difficulty we had was backing our 40' class a into our spot without running over the grass at one point. The avenue is a little too tight for a bigger rig. Having said that though, we probably will visit again and pick a canal spot instead. You can't see the beach from the beach spots, but the canal sites are lovely. read more

Great brand new restaurant and bar! Beautifully remodeled building having spacious decks with lovely waterfront views. A roomy interior restaurant with a front deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and the back deck faces the sunset over Christmas Bay. Fresh well prepared food, we had the chicken fried steak and fried shrimp dinner. Both were well seasoned and cooked, delicious and generous portions. Great COLD beer! Service was helpful and accommodating, prices reasonable for the quality. One suggestion, they might want to use fresh juices in the cocktails rather then mixes, for really good drinks. Can't recommend the margaritas at this point, they are really sweet. Look forward to trying the burgers and fresh made pizza! read more

Great RV park. We stayed in a back in canal view and it was great. Pads are new and wide. You may need a longer sewer hose to pull all the way back. The people who work there are amazing! Super nice and helpful! The pool and activity center is nice, new and clean. The laundry facilities are good. Nice that is takes cards and coins! We did not use the pool due to being here in December. Walk to beach is great. We ate one time in the restrauant and the food/cocktails were good! The only thing that would make this place perfect is a hot tub! If we are in this area again would definitely stay here again! read more

Location is great...the beach is beautiful but: We were held up at check in due to a mistake made by the staff. Pads are small so space is tight. Ants everywhere. Mosquitoes starting at dusk made it impossible to sit outside even with a heavy application of deet. Pool is way to small as this is a high capacity park. The pool was also a bit murky. Our slip was at the back so we were at least a mile from the beach. Way to far to walk with all our beach toys. Hook ups are not at the back of the pad. More like in the middle. We didn't have a long enough hose to reach the septic. Since this park is in the middle of nowhere...we had to buy another hose from the resort. $54 dollars for an inferior hose. They should really tell folks when they make a reservation how far the septic opening is. Guess it insures extra revenue. It was our first visit but IF we ever were to return it would only be if we were assured a place up front. Overall it was clean but I'm not sure that makes up for all the other issues. I also realize it's in an ecologically sensitive area...it would be hard to treat for ants and mosquitoes. read more

We stayed a week at Blue Water RV Resort and had an absolute great time! Before I get started, I want to mention the views from here are gorgeous!! Beautiful breathtaking views watching the sun rise over the ocean, we could see from our camper or one could go to the resort building up front to watch from one of their decks (all decks had table and chairs to use). The sunsets were just as gorgeous and were best viewed from the pool or the front fishing piers, made such a beautiful backdrop! We stayed beach back in side and had views of the beach/ocean. Where to start... well, first we experienced great customer service from the pre trip planning phone calls, they answered all my questions and also emailed when we made our reservation for receipts and answered more questions via email. The same great customer service when we arrived for check in, super friendly and helpful staff. They told us about amenities, possible things we may need over our stay and all kinds of good info. Another staff escorted us via his golf cart to our camp site and was helpful too. We enjoyed the swimming pool, canal pier fishing, on site ice bags, their general store for when I ran out of milk and such. The dog wash and dog run were essential for our 2 pups. Every day that we went to the beach we'd come back, and bathe the dogs in the dog wash to get all the sand out then they'd play, and play and run and run in the dog run. There is a golf cart crossing spot to drive right onto the beach, and on the way back into the resort are fresh water showers for washing the sand off of yourself. About 1.3 miles down the street is a public entrance for the beach where you can drive your car back down across from the RV resort and be within walking distance to go back to your RV if needed from the sand. They had activities and a food truck with amazing smelling burgers (food truck is Fri, Sat & Sun only). read more

This resort was quiet, clean and beautiful. The sites were well taken care of and they pick up your trash a bags so you don't have to haul them. The pool, bathrooms and laundry facilities were spotless. The beach is right across the street. It's a bit of a drive to Galveston but honestly worth it. The little restaurants and marinas along the way to Galveston are good too. We went across the street on the beach to fish and caught a lot of fish. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet time. Restrooms and shower facility were super clean!!!! We went fishing at the resort and caught crabs (yes, with our fishing poles) flounder in a bait casting net, a sting ray, along with a couple other variety of fish big enough to eat!!! Beautiful clean park. Spots are spacious and views of the sunrise and sunsets are stunning. Easy access to the gulf. The beach across the street is long with no obstructing views of the gulf. The pooI area is gorgeous although the club house has no restrictions in regards to Covid safety. I gave it only 4 stars because they state they have a pickle ball court and I wouldn't call the area a pickle ball court. There wasn't a net nor a fence to keep the ball inside the court and it is on the basketball court. The pickle ball court was one of the reasons we chose that park.
