Very nice well kept rv resort. Sites are paved and spacious. Directly across the street from a very quiet beach. Friendly staff and they have a really good restaurant/bar on-site! Will definitely stay there again!

Had a great stay at Bluewater. Rented a canal sites with great views of the bay. You are just short walk to the beach. Had some bad weather come thru during our stay and blue water kept us informed and electricity was quickly repaired. We will definitely be back!

My personal rating system for RV Parks is: 1 Star = never again 2 Stars = if i had to 3 Stars = would stay again 4 Stars = preferred location 5 Stars = the place to be - yeah baby! If you're looking for a great RV park down towards surf side and San Louis Pass, bluewater, I'd recommend Bluewater. We stayed in one of their new super sites with a covered patio, fire pit and charcoal grill. Having all three amenities in addition to full hookups made our stay (during inclement weather) much more enjoyable. They have a full service restaurant and bar onsite, along with a small shop for fishing supplies and corner-store food stuffs. All in all it's a solid rv park - modern, clean, friendly staff, and right across from the beach.

I can not say enough good thing about this RV resort. You can see the sunrises and the sunsets here. THEY are GORGEOUS. It's laid back, quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the Spoonville cottage aptly named as it's SUPER super tiny, however, what it lacks in space, the view, the cleanliness and even the SUPER sweet staff more than make up for it. They made sure we had everything we needed during our entire stay not just when we checked in. They were super accommodating. We honestly couldn't believe how much care was given into every detail. I normally re-clean each hotel room I stay at, and couldn't find one thing to re-clean, it was sparkling. The pool house, the area, even the beach around our area - they clean up! Then when we misunderstood about the restaurant ( another one is supposed to come soon!) The manager made sure we had all the info we needed to find a place nearby. (There is a food truck open Thurs-Sundays, otherwise, it's a 15 min drive currently) We are already planning our next trip back and can't wait.

Dirk and his staff go above and beyond in making you feel welcome. And, they do a wonderful job of keeping the park in absolutely tip top shape. We stayed for a month when the infamous winter freeze hit. They stayed in continual contact with the guests that rode out the storm, even bringing cases of bottled water to sites when the storm knocked out water and power. When they easily could have been worrying about their own rigs (and no one would have faulted them), they made sure everyone was safe. And, the the end, they threw a nice party to mark the return of normal weather. The park itself offers prime beach opportunities, as well as access to the bay. So if you have a boat or kayak, it's really sweet. All in all, it's a great place to stay and we'll be back again next year.

Quick review of our first impressions of this hidden gem... Bluewater RV Park in Brazoria County Texas! Blue Water RV Resort is a hidden gem in Brazoria County Texas. I say hidden gem because it's a new resort just about one year old as of June 2020 and new to us. What struck us first was the drive there. After spending time in Galveston which is packed full of tourists and tourist activities it was fun to cross the bridge over into Brazoria county and feel that we had come in contact with more of the Texas wild beach life that we were wanting to see and experience. When we pulled into the resort we were taken by the grand looking clubhouse which is actually the office, camp store and a restaurant wrapped by a beautiful deck with incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico! Although we have not tried the food in the restaurant yet it sure looks to be at least a four-star establishment. Next we toured the property by driving down the one main road of the property. Yes... this resort has one very long road (kind of a jetty). In the middle of this road/jetty is the actual clubhouse which has a pool and clubhouse room upstairs with beautiful views. Following our quick tour of the property we then walked across the street to the beach which was the nicest looking beach we have seen so far in Texas! And the beauty of it is that it's an easy walk across the 2 lane highway and up over a wooden boardwalk which is private property of Bluewater RV Park. We spent about 30 minutes on the beach talking to local fisherman getting fishing tips and just enjoying the walk up and down the beach on the hard packed sand which accommodates bicycles believe it or not. And that area has several miles of beach that you can drive on with your car which makes it nice to drive to a private area anywhere you'd like up and down Brazoria county beaches. Wonderful beach for fishing and relaxing! I will update this review after we have stayed at Bluewater RV Park. But... I really wanted to get my first impression because my first impressions are usually 99% right on! :-)

Can't say enough great things about this place!!! Everybody was very friendly. From the moment we checked in the lady behind the desk was so sweet the gentleman that escorted us to our campsite was awesome ! The facility is very clean and well-kept! We will definitely be back!!

Nice pool, walk across the beach, small dog park, trail, outdoor showers. Our family had everything we needed.

We've stayed at Galveston Island KOA Holiday for the past two years, and I want to share an honest…read moreexperience for anyone considering a stay. First, the positives: this is a beautiful campground with great amenities. The pool, hot tub, and lazy river are fantastic, and many of the staff members are friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about guests. Galveston itself offers so much to do--we especially loved spending time on The Strand and exploring the area. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is the management, which significantly impacts the overall experience. The park manager is unapproachable and runs the campground in a way that feels more focused on control and extra charges than guest satisfaction. Fees are added for things like early arrival, and communication often feels excessive and negative rather than helpful. While guests receive multiple daily texts about activities, we also received messages about things like dog waste in washing machines and stolen cleaning wipes--issues that could have been handled more professionally. There were also ongoing maintenance concerns both years we stayed. We experienced multiple days without water due to plumbing issues, and during our second year, the park was down to a single bathroom because of structural damage. We were told portable restrooms were coming, but they never arrived. Activities were amazing our first year, but the second year saw frequent cancellations. Even simple guest comfort requests--like putting down pavilion sides to block strong wind--were denied, despite those same features being used for staff events. Another concern is how complaints are handled. When an inappropriate interaction with a staff member was reported, there was no management available, and no follow-up from the manager afterward. That lack of accountability was disappointing. It's also worth noting that feedback appears to be filtered internally, meaning corporate oversight may not be getting the full picture. We also noticed an increase in police and emergency presence during our second stay, along with a shift in the overall campground atmosphere. To be clear, this could be one of the best campgrounds in the area--it has all the right ingredients. But until there is more professional, guest-focused management and accountability, it's hard to justify returning. #KOA #KOACamping #GalvestonTX #RVLife #CampgroundReview #RVTravel #FullTimeRV #RVLiving #CampingLife #TravelTexas #HonestReview #CustomerExperience #RVCommunity #CampgroundLife #TravelReview #ExploreTexas #RVAdventures

This is a hard day for me because I really love this park and hate to leave. Financial reasons make…read moresome hard decisions for you.. The people here are fantastic and management is the best. Having stayed in parks from Seattle to here, I don't say that lightly. The beautiful oak trees provided a neverending stream of unique birds that were very amusing. The proximity to the gulf provided a great place to relax with a cool breeze. Scanning other parks close by showed us another beautiful place with a 450.00all inclusive rent. We are grandfathered in so our rent won't ever change. As a cancer patient I make several trips for treatment in Houston. There is a clinic close by. Fuel prices are .30less in the area and that adds up. On fixed incomes, this made the move too hard to resist. So with a heavy heart I leave this review and move on. Love to all. Mike and Rosie
