They are known for having their own exclusive coffee bean that is super healthy and packed with extra antioxidants, called the 'Supr Brew'. They also do some amazing in house flavor options (including no sugar added) All of their baked goods are made in house including the gluten free options. Having recently turned vegan and on the hunt for spots that offer food, I have finally found the 'it' place! Went to the Stamford location with my non vegan husband and he enjoyed the food just as much as I did! The menu is full and the offerings are delicious. I had the 'bacon egg and cheese' and asked for it on sourdough. They willingly obliged and made a scrumptious sandwich that was VERY filling! They offer coffees that rank in the top among famous store brands. I am thrilled to have found a place to go without having to make alterations to menu items. Absolutely a GEM of a find! Why aren't more people talking about this cozy cafe? Why doesn't it pop up when I search for vegan options? I happened to be shopping nearby and spotted it on Google maps, otherwise I would have never known. There's plenty of chilled grab-and-go options, including salads, wraps, noodles, and bowls, plus smoothies, hot sandwiches, lattes, and more. I'd say 85% of the menu is vegan, including the deeply satisfying spinach, feta, and egg breakfast sandwich I got. Even more impressive was the fact that it used gluten-free bread, too! It's a nice sign of the times that a place full of healthy items and superfoods has replaced a cupcake shop. Customers tipped me off about G&T. Pricey, they said, but good...and healthy. I started with the chipotle sweet potato kale salad, which comes with a lot of great ingredients literally crammed into a small container. It's small, but it packs a punch from the chipotle chiles. The sweet potato is also combined with pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries. It was a nice way to kick off lunch. The Mylky Way smoothie with cacao, almond, milk provided a nice counter balance to the salad's spiciness. The flavors, which also include dates and almond butter and a touch of cinnamon, come together nicely. While it hit the spot while still eating well, I was glad I had the salad. The smoothie alone would not have been enough for lunch. The staff here was friendly and the smoothie was ready quickly. I would have to agree with another reviewer who said she would have like to have seen more reusable dishes and cups used for those who stay and eat. Being conscious of the environment would seem to go hand in hand with eating well. Straws and plastic utensils wrapped in plastic do not. This is the kind of food I make for myself at home, so I'm thrilled to find a place on the road like this. Great variety and delicious options. Two stars off though because they don't provide "for here" dishes and utensils. Their mission of "nourishing a wellness community" is misguided if not taking the environment and sustainable choices into account. Yes, it is great some of their packages are compostable, but they're still *single* use. I love that wellness is creeping into mainstream culture but the abundance of single use makes me sad and the disconnect between healthy eating and a healthy environment is saddening. I kid you not- as I was leaving, looking for a compost bucket for my compostable dish, a lady grabbed a plastic wrap fork and another stuck to it and fell into the recycling bin (no compost here!). This is highly processed food, with lots of sugar and micro-wave prepared. Most of the Superfood Smoothies have catchy names, e.g. 'Up & At 'EM' but the reality is that there is lots of sugar in all of these drinks. There is no science here! They have 'almond butter' listed as a 'Protein' when in fact there is less than 2.4g of protein and 9.5g of FAT!!!! If you need to be seen, if you need to be hip, and if you need to be part of the 'in crowd' this is your place. But suggestion: don't order the coffee, the food or the drinks. There is something about this place that puts a smile on my face. It is airy, welcoming and everyone is friendly. The smoothies are delicious and the acai bowls are fresh and flavorful. Don't get both though, you will be full! My most recent visit I adventured from my standard acai bowl and energy elixir and tried the Kitchari Bowl and was in heaven. I was really hoping my first time here would be awesome as I've gotten many recommendations from other people about their smoothies. First, the cashier who greeted me seemed unhappy and inattentive. Then the woman making my smoothie told me they ran out of cocoa powder when they didn't (the glass with the powder was right in front of our faces) so I asked if she could still give me the scoop of cacao since that's what I paid for in my drink.
