Tod, the owner was incredibly rude towards the end. Seth the project manager was incredibly disrespectful and rude throughout the project, not fixing mistakes, not respecting our requests, etc. He lost all his workers during our project, and ended up with workers that were NOT experienced towards the end to put in our fence, you can already tell how that turned out.

The sloping wall seen in these picture is the result of the contractor not compacting the backfill before installing the steps. I incorrectly assumed that a company involved with this type of work would have known to do this step. I guess they saved $100 on a compactor equipment rental on a $15k job. The fact that they didn't appear to own any of the equipment they used should have been a sign that they don't normally do this type of work. Anyway if you want the job done right, probably best to go with a competitor, oftentimes low bid is not the best value.

Fortunately, my neighbor suggested that I call Briggs Tree Service. The price I was given was very fair. As with all contractors in the area, scheduling the work was several weeks out, but they arrived as scheduled on the planned day. I personally had opted to keep the wood, so they worked with me and even stacked part of it until they ran out of room and were down to the larger sections of the trunk. They were professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again. I wish I had before and after pictures to share, but I don't.

I had them clean the moss from our roof and then treat with a moss prevention product. They also pressure washed a large hardwood deck. The price was so reasonable for the work done. They spent an entire day working on the roofs and deck. Everything was super clean when they finished, very tidy and organized. You wouldn't believe the amount of moss that came down! Now, my roofs look brand new!! I thought I was going to need a new roof but not so. I plan to book with Tomas every spring for pressure washing our aggregate stone courtyard and pathway; he told me they have a special pressure washer for large areas that is gentler on the stones and takes much less time than a regular pressure washer. The hedge overall was trimmed well but the corner was over-trimmed because they started there with a ladder that wasn't tall enough. (I came out to stop them before they over-trimmed the entire hedge) For the weed removal, after they left, I spent 3 hours removing the weeds they missed. I suppose I shouldn't have paid them or let them leave until all the weeds are removed, but based on existing reviews I trusted that they would have that attention to detail. They also removed some plants that I wanted to keep. Based on that, I'm left with the impression that they aren't very good at determining what a weed is. Nice guys, but for $750, I expected better.

He came the very next day to perform the work which included topping off 2' and removing all branches that were touching or close to the side of the house and roof. No one replied. Prior to that I called in. No one answered the phone. Left a message. No call back. Email. Nothing. The work itself is ok too bad the communication is so bad. I am considering switching because of that.
