BEWARE! We signed a contract, that he changed the price of when all work was done. We got overcharged for work that we changed to be less. Overcharged for change orders that we were quoted previously much less. This led to thousands of dollars of increases that we did NOT agree to, nor did they make us aware of these price changes. Tod, the owner was incredibly rude towards the end. Seth the project manager was incredibly disrespectful and rude throughout the project, not fixing mistakes, not respecting our requests, etc. He lost all his workers during our project, and ended up with workers that were NOT experienced towards the end to put in our fence, you can already tell how that turned out. read more

I had Levy's install a retaining wall to extend the area in front of my garage and to change the slope of the driveway to direct rainwater away from my house, 3.5 years ago (Jan 2020). The sloping wall seen in these picture is the result of the contractor not compacting the backfill before installing the steps. I incorrectly assumed that a company involved with this type of work would have known to do this step. I guess they saved $100 on a compactor equipment rental on a $15k job. The fact that they didn't appear to own any of the equipment they used should have been a sign that they don't normally do this type of work. Anyway if you want the job done right, probably best to go with a competitor, oftentimes low bid is not the best value. read more

The reasoning for a 1-star review, Lack of Confidence Recently I had terminated the yard maintenance with Levy's Lawns & Landscape company due to the lack of trained workers, failed to be completely honest, lack of company communication, and fail to provide proper lawn service that was in written agreement. Levy's does my lawn and property maintenance. They also redid the landscaping on our property last Dec. The plants Todd chose are so beautiful. I enjoy looking at all of it. I got three bids for my job. I felt most confident in Levy's ability to do what I wanted at a reasonable price. One of my neighbors used them for a similar job and years later was still happy. We wanted to remove 6 old plastic raised beds and replace them with raised beds built from stone with installed irrigation. We figured while we were at it we would install nice pavers around the lawn perimeter. The work and cost matched the estimate, the crew was prompt and courteous and went out of their way to keep things clean. We'll definitely use them again. read more

Did not complete the job. And inconsiderate. Insisted to receive payment right after initial job was done, not after we could see the results. The initial sods were installed before spring, so fully dried, like straw. They had replaced our full yard with new sods late March 2019. At that time, the grass was dormant, thus looked like straw. We trusted them, every time saying that we have to wait for a couple of months. In June, lots of sods were still like dead, though we watered them as required. Ryan came and told us that those sods must have dried out while waiting for installation, when in pile on our driveway. We were expecting new sods to replace them. Instead, they install other dried-out sods. Then they decided to not reply to any of our calls and emails. We also realized they did not install the sods tight enough and after 4 months of installation, we still can see the seams between the sods! We had multiple arguments too, as Ryan had stated that in case of damage our our sprinkler system, they would replace it for free. It was not the case. Suddenly, we were told that they were not responsible for any damage on the sprinkler system "as noted in the contract". They finally and reluctantly accepted to have someone in their team dig the soil so that the well-pump power-wire that was broken, and replaced at our cost, was at least below the ground. We trusted Ryan in the first place, but realized that his word was not reliable. Ryan also confirmed to me on the phone that they would come afterwards to add more sods to complete the job after I sent photos of what was replaced in June - one hour after installation - that showed poorly grassy sods instead of green ones and lots of missing spots. He never came. Leo (Lior), the owner did not even return our calls. Quite unprofessional. Bottom line: we are VERY disappointed. read more

We have a fairly large yard and have given a couple landscaping companies a try. The amount of money we were spending on maintenance was frustrating particularly when I would still have to spend several hours every week on it myself. I found Levy's via a google search and they have been a game-changer. I am spending the same amount of money with them as I was with every other company I've ever worked with but they do twice as much work and they do it twice as well. They are easy to communicate with and have an organized office. On weeks when they don't have to do as much work, they give a discounted rate. If I have questions or concerns, I simply call the office and my inquiries are never left unanswered. More importantly, on one occasion, when they were in a tight pinch and had to send a newer crew to my house that made a minor mistake, Levy's bent over backward to make it right. This is a company that truly values their customers and is passionate about what they do. They are leaps and bounds above every landscaping company I have ever worked with and, quite honestly, their competition should be ashamed. I will not ever trust my yard to any other company as long as Levy's keeps working as hard as they do. A big thank you to Cody, Kim, Wendy, and Todd in particular. This is a review I sent directly to this business on their website. I contacted them after finding them on Angie's List and assumed, incorrectly, that they would conduct themselves in a professional manner. I suspect that there has been a management or ownership change, since my experience is so dismal and seems to be outside the norm for the experience others have encountered. In any case, beware of this business. I had a terrible customer experience. I tried you and I was definitely disappointed. Lousy customer service and Scott was outright abusive. Tried calling you after seeing your mention and ad on Angie's List. Big mistake! Called the number in the ad and got Scott's voicemail, which told me to call the office. Called the office and got voicemail. Left a message and waited days for a callback. In the meantime got several calls on my cell from what appeared to be Scott's number, but no message. Days went by. Finally I called the office and got an actual person, who arranged for someone to come to my home for an inspection and estimate for lawn work and ongoing maintenance. Appointment set for 8:30 a.m. since I made it clear I had to leave for work as early as possible. Day of appointment arrives and no show. I call the business and get Scott, who says he's on his way, although he's already 20 minutes late. I ask him where he is and the line goes dead. Hang up or call dropped? 35 minutes after the scheduled appointment time Scott rolls up in a pickup and parks in front of our two open garage doors, where my wife and I are preparing to leave for work. I tell Scott that he can cancel the request for an estimate, since our introduction was a half hour late arrival. He says his "work schedule" has him scheduled for 8:30-9:00 a.m. to be here. That is not what I arranged with the female office scheduler. Scott left in a huff, snarling at me "I'm not going to waste any more time on you!" Wow, I'm sorry that my being late for my work because of his late arrival was a waste of his time. That's what I call really lousy customer service. Are you really the company that is advertised in Ange's List? I can't imagine you staying in business that long if you treat your customers this way. read more

Just had our front yard landscaped and a patio put in our backyard by this great team of guys. Everything looks fantastic! They are hard workers and all the quality of their work is excellent. All the guys were friendly and very courteous. We love our yard now and would highly recommend this company. read more

Levy's just finished up their fourth landscaping project for us and all four times we have experienced the best in customer service, project design and completion. The projects were started and finished ahead of schedule and have all exceeded our expectations. They have dug out and removed diseased bushes and replaced them with a selection of plants and shrubbery and built a garden walkway and a river rock water feature to divert excess water runoff from the pavement around our house, They're at the top of our list should we need another landscaping project completed. read more
