No visit to the Mazatlan cruise ship terminal is complete without a stop at the adorable, open air Green Bar. Located amidst the cheerful hustle and bustle of souvenir stands, jewelry shops, and potentially dubious-looking pharmacies it's the perfect place to people watch.
Green Bar is all outside, featuring both bar seating and several tables along the large outdoor patio. For such a small space, they offer pretty much anything you could want - although, you just got to Mazatlan, why would you want anything other than a fresh margarita or tasty Mexican beer?! I indulged in both (you can't beat their prices!) and wow, were they delicious. On the day I was there, a bandito-costumed waiter was also shlocking $1 tequila jello shots which were, yeah, pretty good. (Hey, I was on vacation!)
I also enjoyed a plate of their amazing fresh-made tortilla chips and impossibly fresh pico de gallo. I was almost sad when the time came to leave and head back to the cruise ship. But it's good to know Green Bar will still be around next time I'm in town! read more
