They say it's the journey not the destination that counts but likely they've never been through a remodel. To trust someone with something near and dear is something I personally know. You want someone who doesn't bullshit you. You want someone who is kind of like a Sherpa guiding you. Here is my personal experience: We had an outdated kitchen that was not up to code. I used to love to cook but I'd come into the kitchen and quickly wanted to step away. So I initially went to Home Depot thinking ok great they have everything in one place! Because I'm not a DIY nor have any knowledge in this I felt half way through that I needed a bit more direction. I work 12 hr days and wanted someone who understood what I wanted. But what's interesting about a remodel is sometimes it's beyond your imagination! Green Bay had a 3D model which they tied into appliances and helped to see how the kitchen would look! Noy also had tips and tricks and advice along the way. But here's the thing - it isn't always butterflies! In any relationship there is misunderstanding, impatience and a difference in communication. Noy knows his shit. You just have to trust that. July 6 was demolition. sept 11 we moved all our stuff back. Now I just walk into the kitchen and just stand and breathe and thank Green Bay and Noy for being my Sherpa to the Mount Everest I call kitchen remodeling. We recently worked with Green Bay Remodeling on a full renovation of our bathroom as well as repairs to a deck that had significant rot, and we are extremely happy with the results. The bathroom was completely transformed. What started as a very dated space is now modern, clean, and beautifully finished. Finished product is beautiful, but the process and project management is not as advertised. We met with 5 different contractors to get bids for our small bathroom remodel project. Green Bay Remodeling was the highest bid by 20-50%. We selected Green Bay because they pitched themselves as a turnkey solution and I would simply sit back and just make payments. In reality I needed to be involved constantly to keep this project on track. A few examples: - Sourcing: In the sales meeting, we were told that materials would be sourced by them from their "catalog" and shipped from "their warehouse". I liked the simplicity of that, but in reality, they order things from online vendors like Wayfair and Home Depot and shipped directly to my home. This turned my garage space into their warehouse for nearly 2 months. Also, it is just bad business to ship heavy, breakable things - for example, we had 2 toilets delivered to our home in giant packages - both of which were broken on arrival. (there's a hardware store less than a mile from my home that has toilets in stock) - Communication: We were promised daily updates, this did happen once the construction work started because they often wanted a payment, but we went for long times not hearing during planning process. - Timeline was set by PM as 4 weeks from sign date for permits and planning (closer to 8 weeks due to absences and avoidable omissions on permit application) and 4 weeks for construction (that was met with multiple issues and creative workarounds deployed). - Presence: We understood the PM would be present on the site and would be the main point of contact, but he was missing at key times - including during an inspection with the city permitting department - Attention to detail: Materials were sourced late or incorrectly (a 60 inch vanity ordered rather than 72inch) and broken materials were not identified immediately. We made the construction timeline but only with some creative solutions and lots of legwork. Overall, the guys at GBR are nice, charming people and the finished product looks good. But I give that credit to the amazing sub-contractor who completed the entire project. He covered for their issues and went out of his way to solve problems so that the finished product looked amazing and was finished on time. I would give this person a 5 star review, but I would not engage GBR in the future as this does not reflect value for money. read more

We had a fantastic experience remodeling our kitchen with Green Bay Remodeling Inc. From start to finish, the process was smooth and well managed. Yessica, our main point of contact, was incredibly responsive and always quick to answer messages or address any questions or concerns. Green Bay does high quality work, provides excellent communication, fair pricing and at all phases exhibits a remarkable level of INTEGRITY! I've just finished a long and major remodel...doubling my home's square footage, replacing the roof, siding and basically all the plumbing, gas and electric in the home. I added not only a beautiful new kitchen, primary suite, open floor plan living room with accordion glass doors looking out to big beautiful deck with views straight to Mt Tam, but also added some great future flexibility with a beautiful new 1br1ba ADU. In a project of this size and scope, there were probably 10,000 details and they nailed probably 9,950 of them right out of the gate. Zack, Danny and their team were always clear and available in communications and extremely prompt and responsive in all interactions. We put more time into the design stage, than a lot might have, in an effort to reduce Change Orders (always bad for a budget). And it really worked well! They provided ideas in the design stage that turned out to be surprisingly important in the end...seemingly innocuous things like shower layout, trim pieces, window sizes/orientations, flooring wear layers, etc. I was super involved in the project at all stages (my choice), which they allowed and seemed to value rather than be annoyed (as I've seen in the past). During the project, I had two friends who are also contractors come by for a visit. Both of them (different occasions) kept commenting on some details that I didn't recognize...but that indicated what great attention to detail Green Bay was providing. Any project has changes to make once you get into it. We decided to redo all the siding on the home to match the new portions instead of blending original 95 yr old redwood siding. They provided me with a clear cost/benefit analysis (better longevity, can put it retrofit earthquake sheathing, more consistent look). I opted to add on to the budget and am so glad I did. What is so surprising (and wonderful) is how few changes there were to the scope and budget. The siding, a little foundation repair and some additional hardscape/concrete we added were the ONLY increases to the budget. Including those Change Orders, authorized by me in advance, and explicitly added to a very careful and clear contract, the final project came in only 10% over budget overall. That is just unheard of in the industry. (The Town of Corte Madera, on the other hand, tripled the permit fees and costs they predicted up front.) What I've described above is enough to say that Green Bay is an excellent choice in contractor. But the real kicker is the integrity. When Danny made a commitment, he honored it. Again and again and again. PG&E really screwed us over on the running of the new electrical line, forcing us to dig a trench in a particular area for them to lay the new line...and twice they got it wrong, requiring us to fill the trenches and dig again (lots of dirt moved, rental of equipment, many man hours) three times instead of once. Surely this was beyond Green Bay's budget. But they didn't squawk at all. They just took care of business and got it done correctly. As a result of all that digging and filling, our front no longer was the same...so I took the opportunity to do a lot more concrete hardscaping (adding a carport and planter to the already planned new driveway). This was my idea and they helped me refine the vision, offered a very fair price for the extra work and then adapted well to implement it. Our experience with GreenBay Remodeling was, unfortunately, far from what we were told, what we expected, and what was advertised on their website. Before signing our contract, we were given several assurances that ultimately proved to be inaccurate, and this set the tone for much of the project. One of the primary reasons we chose GreenBay was the promise of an "all-in-one" service a streamlined process in which the company would guide us through design, supplies, and construction with ease. This was not our experience. For example, we were told that our project manager would provide a complete supply order list for items such as lighting, sinks, doors, and hardware, and that we would simply submit payment. This was false. Instead, we spent countless hours sourcing items ourselves, often from vendors GreenBay claimed to have established partnerships with. In reality, some vendors did work with GreenBay, while others expressed frustration or stated they would no longer work with them due to ongoing issues. This put us in an uncomfortable position and added an enormous amount of time and unnecessary work. We were also promised that our kitchen remodel would take 6 to 8 weeks after permits were approved. This, too, was entirely inaccurate. We signed our contract in January 2025, our permit was approved on May 5th, 2025, and as of December 4th, 2025, we are still dealing with outstanding fixes. Throughout the project, we experienced constant delays including weeks with only part-time workers, repeated rescheduling, and work that needed to be redone. Too many commitments were made and not followed through on. To make matters worse, the on-site general contractor made threatening remarks about not being paid, which felt unprofessional and unnecessary. A major part of what drew us to GreenBay was their polished branding, marketing materials, and customer testimonials. Unfortunately, our real-life experience was nowhere near the quality portrayed online. After going through this process, I strongly encourage you to pay attention to the negative reviews posted about GreenBay; in our case, they proved to be far more accurate than the positive ones. While the managers we interacted with were polite and kind people, they often seemed disconnected from the realities homeowners face during a remodel especially one that requires people to live through construction and manage significant financial strain. We experienced numerous missed meetings, inaccurate or incomplete supply lists, very little proactive design guidance, and a general lack of trust and follow-through within their contractor teams. There were also important steps, such as a routine PG&E process, that we were never informed about until they became issues and additional expenses. Overall, while we are relieved to be done with GreenBay Remodeling, the experience was extremely stressful and far more prolonged than we ever anticipated. We hired Green Bay to remodel our guest bathroom. The end result is stunning and it looks 2x bigger than it did before we started. If you only care about the end result, stop reading now, look at the pictures, your job will look great. For those who want a bit more detail. Things did not go as expected and the job took much longer than anticipated. Some jobs are just that way. The worst offender was a grout job gone astray. We had to rip out the tile and start over again because it was mosaic arrowhead with all kinds of tiny grout lines. That led to delays. It takes time to get tile and bring in a new tile team. Unfortunately that meant it butted right up next to a two month vacation. So, we stopped for two months. When we returned I don't think our job was really on the schedule as it should have been done months before. We got a trickle of work here and there until our project manager, Joseph, switched out the team. This may sound like an experience that you wouldn't want to repeat, but anyone who has ever dealt with contractors will want to know this. 1) When the grout looked bad, even when the tilers said they thought it looked good, Green Bay never hesitated to redo the job. 2) I have very exacting standards and I'm sure there were days when our project manager wanted to throw me out the window, he never did. He responded to me at 9pm, on Sundays, and showed up to look at every detail. 3) They finished every last thing. I was abandoned by a contractor on the last mile in the past. Instead of washing their hands of the job, they doubled down and sent out a new crew to finish. 4) Over the course of the job we learned what needed to be perfect and what might have been better to just leave be. The problem with construction when you work from home is that the minute they are done you can't help but go look at every last detail. Sometimes, it just doesn't matter. I believe I will be a better client the next time and I believe that they will be better contractors. You will receive the benefit. I am giving Green Bay four stars because it wasn't perfect and I think it would be disingenuous to give five. That said, what really matters is that they did live up to the expectation they set "if things go wrong they will do everything in their power to correct it." read more

In response to Avi. You do not sound professional insulting the "condition" of our house. And it's irrelevant considering the bathroom was gutted completely to the studs - so all the internal work, walls floor etc was done by your team. Also only one of these pictures is an "in progress" picture and that's the chevron tile one. The others are what our bathroom looked upon completion. The nightmare of Green Bay has continued for us. A few months in we started to smell mold in the bathroom after showers and decided it was time to get a second opinion about the cracking grout and peeling caulk. Please note our bathroom is less than 2 years old and Green Bay's General Manager ZACK ILINETSKY said this was a normal part of the "house settling" and would not fix it when we did the final inspection. Since we learned our lesson, we had an actual licensed tile professional take a look. He confirmed our worst fear that the current issues are definite signs of failed waterproofing. Once again the whole tile job needs to be ripped out and completely replaced. I hope our project manager DANNY LEBOWSKI sees this review and is ashamed of his team's horrendous workmanship and what he has put us through. Obviously we will not allow Green Bay a third attempt to fix this. Once we can afford a redo, I hope the third time is a charm and I'll finally be able to enter my bathroom without feeling sick to my stomach. We couldn't be happier with the new bathroom Green Bay built for us. And the process of getting it done was a surprisingly pleasant journey. To start, we worked with Green Bay to develop the plan and select the finishes. They put together a working plan, and then a 3D model (with our finish materials included) which helped us understand what the bathroom would look like before the work started. Once the work started, the crew showed up every day, on time. They worked hard, cleaned up as they worked, then left everything in order at the end of the day. The guys were friendly, polite, and thoughtful - one even went to the end street to smoke. As for the work, the framing, plumbing, and electrical, were all well done, and the tile person is an artist. The Green Bay Project Manager checked in regularly to see how the work was going, and to see how we were doing. When issues came up - as they always do - the PM saw to it that they were resolved quickly and that we were pleased with the resolution. For example, when the planned extra-wide shampoo niche wouldn't fit, he worked with the crew to squeeze in 2 niches and then made sure we approved the design before moving forward with the work. This was a tricky job; a tiny space inside a 120-year-old house (nothing level or square), a tight timeline, and a demanding homeowner. Greenbay just completed a 400 sq. ft. addition on our home in Sonoma County and we are very pleased with the finished product. Although it took over a year to get started (due to engineering and permitting issues) once the project got underway it went pretty smoothly, finishing on time in just under 5 months. This review is literally 3 years in the making but well deserved. I purchased my home in 2018 in the Oakland Hills and had a couple of major Dry Rot areas that showed up on the initial inspection report. The first project involved breaking open about 30-40 sq feet of stucco near a drain pipe to inspect and correct the damage. I went onto Yelp and got several quotes from some very highly rated options. Enter our project manager Danny who made it very clear that Green Bay was not going to be the most expensive but also not the most affordable. However, he made it clear his company would do the best job for a fair price and be very transparent about every step of the way. Between the other 5-6 quotes I got, Danny definitely sounded like he understood the problem and what other issues could come up when they removed the Stucco. Plus his price was in the middle-high end compared to the other quotes I got so I chose to sign with him for the initial job. Within 2-3 weeks of signing, Danny pulled the permits, his team came in and broke open the stucco to uncover wood beams that were rotten to the core (unsure how they were even holding up my garage). Danny set some good expectations around what the lumber would cost if this happened so it was very easy to agree to the additional cost and proceed forward. One thing I'll always remember is at night after his crew left, my gas emergency shutoff valve had tripped during the demolition of the concrete (which sits right next to my gas meter). Unaware this happened, I texted Danny at 9pm that my gas wasn't working so we couldn't cook and asked him if he knew what the issue could be. Danny immediately called my cell to explain what he believed happened and offered to either have one of his workers or himself drive over immediately to reset it if I didn't feel comfortable. I've heard horror stories about people having trouble just getting their contractor to show up consistently so was blown away that he was so responsive late at night, and even offered to come out and fix something he could have easily told me they would do in the morning. Fortunately I was comfortable and with Danny's guidance, was able to reset the knob and get my gas flowing. His team finished the first project on time in 5 days was able to match my stucco and texture perfectly. I've had neighbors even tell me they couldn't even tell part of the side of my stucco home had been redone (without painting the whole house) Then in 2020 after a brutal storm, I was finally ready to correct the major dry rot/leak area on my home that was stemmed from a tile deck that sat above a room on a side of my home that sits on a 30-40 ft ledge. The room below had a pretty significant amount of water coming in and it was clear the water proofing was not holding up (also was in my initial inspection report). Danny once again was one of three quotes that was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive...mid-high. We signed on to use Danny's again since he made it clear they would do the most possible water proof you can possibly do to try and prevent it from happening again. They pulled the permits again which took a lot longer due to COVID. Most contractors I looked at would not do this but Green Bay is very by the book and I'm honestly glad they did so I have record of the work I did when I resell the home. His crew began work again by demo'ing the tile and concrete below it. Once they got to the water proofing, there was a puddle of water sitting atop it. They pulled that off and the wood felt like wet cardboard. It was at this point Danny recommended they replace the entire plywood and break open the stucco to re-do the flashing between the home and the deck, along with all the other flashing. He made it clear that he did not feel comfortable just covering the deck again if I did not go that route and that leaks would likely continue. As much as I hate extra costs, the amount was minimal for the peace of mind I would have that we did this project right. I agreed to the three extra days fo work and they continued. They brought in a hot mop crew one day and made sure there was extra water proofing and then did work to make sure there was a significant slope so water would roll off. They then added more concrete and tile to finish the job. Couple of things I've learned about Green Bay: - They will always be honest and transparent about what extra things could pop up in the process and approx. costs - The crews seems like they are mostly employed full time by Green Bay which is great, however all crews I interacted with (hot mop, tile folks, dry wall folks, etc) all seemed like they were experts in their field - Green Bay is big on the details, they will make every attempt to match colors, textures, etc so a repair project looks like it never took place - Danny will always be responsive at a moments notice (the most important thing in my opinion!) Proud to say I've found my permanent contractor! read more

Remodeling can be brutal. We've been through a half dozen over the years; doing it myself once and five times in this house if you include landscaping. This time, we contracted with Green Bay and we did so for a couple reasons: they approached our project with a project management objective. My wife and I have both been project managers, so we appreciated that we had access to someone when we needed it. Additionally, pricing was presented up front and if we needed to make minor changes, we didn't have to go through a whole change order process. Calls were made, things happened, backed up with text confirmations. Once the project started, they were ON IT until it wrapped. We had a consistent crew that showed up every morning on time and worked a full day with amazing productivity. Along the way, things were found. It happens. Flooring well out of level. Some issues with a sliding door. Costs were discussed clearly as we worked out solutions, which led us to the solution that worked best for us and our home. They helped us pick materials, Ari put together a 3D rendering and if they thought it'd be cheaper for me to source something like our fancy medicine chest, they'd tell me I should just order it. When there were issues with suppliers, Ari and Gil helped us secure refunds, find replacement material, etc., making the whole thing pretty stressless. We liked that until supplies were all procured and on site, no work was done. I'd rather have the project start when they have everything either on site or ready for delivery. Yes, it took some time to get started, but once started, progress continued until completion. The team on site was very professional and great to have around. In any complex project, there are going to be issues. In construction, sometimes you don't know what's in the walls until you have them open or have the flooring up or take some measurements once the space is prepped. It's expected. When we had those issues, alerts were raised early and often. Since both my wife and I work from home, we were able to meet, right on site with Gil, Ari and the team to work out a solution that worked for our budget and the project. All permitting, inspections and the like were dealt with by our PM team. Ari and Gil were fantastic and helped clarify things that needed clarifying, answered our incessant questions clearly and were there all the way to hold our hands. As two PMs ourselves, we understood their value add. We've been through the "guy in a truck" projects, so it was nice to have a contact that was readily available and was familiar with what was happening on site. We had a bathroom done, added a gas fireplace, pulled our laundry and utility room into the present from 1960, and fixed a serious issue with the foundation in our Eichler. They also installed an upgraded main panel and we now have 200amp service. The meter swap was painless and they scheduled it all out with PG&E. We're probably going to head north, but as we look at other homes that need some help like kitchens or a garage or the like, we feel confident buying something that needs help because you know what? "We've got a guy." (Actually a couple. They're pretty terrific.) read more

I just had my two bathrooms, kitchen, and flooring remodeled by Green Bay Remodeling, and I'm so happy with how everything turned out! The whole process was smooth, and a big part of that was thanks to Yessica Garcia, the project manager. She was amazing from start to finish. Yessica helped with everything. From getting the permits sorted, organizing the crews, making sure all the materials were on time, and just keeping everything on track. It was clear she knew what she was doing and she made sure I was never in the dark about what was going on. I never had to worry about a thing because Yessica was always on top of it. We had constant communication and weekly meetings to keep me updated on progress of the project. When it came time for the final walkthrough, she was super thorough and made sure I was completely happy with everything before we closed out the project. She even pointed out a couple of things I hadn't noticed and made sure they were fixed right away. The work itself was top notch and my home looks fantastic. Our new kitchen was just finished last week and we were extremely happy that we chose to work with Green Bay Remodeling. We got a quote from our project manager Gili in December 2021 for new cabinets, countertops, and minor water damage repair to the flooring. He and our designer Ari helped us navigate the supply chain issues by helping source locally-manufactured cabinets and countertops. Their team started demo as soon as the materials were in, and the whole project actually stuck to the projected timeline of 5 weeks from demo to completion. (I haven't done a remodel before, but my impression is that most construction projects go way over so I was pleasantly surprised.) Estivan, Ramiro, and the whole crew were professional, efficient, and helpful. After everything was complete, the sink and dishwasher were draining really slowly and the cause wasn't obvious. Gili hired a plumber within 24 hours to come out on the off chance that it was related to the project. It was just 70 years of crud built up in our plumbing, and a large section of it had to be replaced. Even though it was completely out of the scope of the project and not at all Green Bay's responsibility, they still covered the cost. We definitely plan to hire them again in the near future to do our bathrooms and other projects around the house. read more

Our bathroom was the original 1952 bathroom (pink and maroon tiles, pink bathtub) and the pipes under the house were all disintegrated. Green Bay remodeling assessed everything and gave us a quote that remained on point. When they dug into the ground and redid all the plumbing they didn't have to go as far and rebated the difference. They were there for 4 weeks, two of which we were not home for, and gave us daily updates with pictures. They were very conscious of the surroundings and very trustworthy. The bathroom came out even better than expected! Great people to work with. Josef as the project manager was amazing! I would hire them again for any project. read more

From start to finish, this company exceeded my expectations. Gil and Ari helped me turn a downstairs half bath into a full bath with a walk in shower. They were able to quickly get a permit and figure out solutions to problems that might have happened with my particular type of slab foundation. As a former remodeling contractor myself, I appreciated the fact that once the job began, the crew was on site every day. The crew members were quiet and unobtrusive and did a fantastic job, especially on the drywall and tile, but also on the rough-in work. I liked it that Green Bay didn't require a chunk of money up front. They are a well managed company with high quality team of managers and craftspeople. read more

My wife and I hired Green Bay Remodeling for a nearly full remodel of our home. We worked with Joseph, our Project Manager, from the design concept to the completion of construction and couldn't have been happier with the services provided. The heart of the project consisted of a complete remodel of our living area which was previously chopped up into smaller spaces with poor traffic flow. Opening up walls and replacing smaller windows with large wall-to wall glass sliding panels made the entire floor feel double the size and gave us a much larger kitchen with a good-sized island which is perfect for cozy family dinners as for larger entertaining. The kitchen, dining room and living room, with a beautiful brand new linear gas fireplace, now all extend out to our new deck through large glass sliding doors, where we can enjoy the views from inside and out, dine al fresco, or relax under our new resort-like cedar pergola. Our house is on a steep hillside and all this involved a lot of structural work for both the house and the large deck, and coordination with inspectors as well as with their construction crew. Joseph and his assistant, Isaac, were very organized, excellent communicators, and did a fantastic job keeping us informed every step of the way. They got us through the unexpected twists in the road, inevitable with an older house, with a minimum of hassle and delays, and with inspections passed at the first try. We now feel we live in a brand new house, with the advantage of staying in our much cherished location. We highly recommend working with Joseph and Green Bay Remodeling for the quality of their customer care and for their craftsmanship. read more

Let me start off this review by saying that I've done my fair share of remodels over the past 15 years and three houses and I can only think of one positive experience I have had. Not a great batting average, sadly. When we started thinking about work that needed to be done on our current home and I started meeting with contractors, I very much got the sense that this was going to be another tough one. Then I called Green Bay. From the thoroughness of their quote to the excellent communication when I had questions, to the specific and understandable breakdown of their pricing, I knew they were the right contractor for our job. Danny, who is our GM, has been nothing short of spectacular. He's always popping by to check on progress and help us think through issues and opportunities as they have arisen. The people working on-site are incredibly kind, respectful, and have done a great job in keeping their working space clean and functional (no small feat) so we can still live in our home. The project finished on time and on budget. We made two changes during the process and both were easily handled by the team. One was folded into the overall scope of the project without additional cost and one was invoiced separately. Simple and easy. I love our new bathroom and couldn't be happier with the choices we made. I am already thinking about our upstairs master bathroom and how I hope Green Bay can do the remodel on that as well. read more

From our initial meeting with Gil and Ari to the final inspection and sign-off, Green Bay was SUPERIOR!!!!!  Communication was frequent and clear. The layers of supervision were more than adequate and frequent. I designed and specified a full bathroom with a very Mexican style and purchased all the materials. I was assigned 2 workmen, Domingo and Rodolfo to do the work. The demo was clean...who does a clean demo? Domingo and Rodolfo got extraordinary training! I am picky and my standards for workmanship are impossibly high. These young men were quiet, clean, FANTASTIC knowledge and workmanship. NOTHING was a problem and everything was seamless. Ari was always available if I needed an opinion on design. Her advice was sound and she has a wonderful design sense. I had specified 2 new plugs and drew them on the plan. Once the vanity was in place, Domingo thought one of my placements was off balance. Since we had a previous conversation about balance, he took it upon himself to move the plug and HE WAS RIGHT. Where he put the plug was balanced and perfect. My bathroom is just what I imagined and communicated. From excellent finishing work on the walls and ceiling to the PERFECT amount of grout and caulk. I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS CONTRACTOR!!!  I want Rodolfo and Domingo and their entire team on my next project. 10 STARS!!! read more

Yessica Garcia was our reconstruction supervisor and she did a wonderful job, constantly checking with us to make sure we were satisfied with progress and supervising her workmen.. Green Bay should up on time and worked diligently to finish the job on time and with very good results. The results were as good as we hoped for.
