After seeing the bill it's for this places dozens of times I finally went. The place was definitely clean, but I ordered to go. The staff at the counter were just there, but the wait staff in the dining area were making all their tables smile and laugh, so will def have to eat in sometime. It looks like they may do a hot bar earlier in the day? Anyways I got the chicken tikka masala to go plus some garlic naan. With the rice also in the bag I couldn't help but notice how heavy it was, so when I got home i weighed it - over 3 pounds in one dish! It ended up being 4 meals for me! The flavor was good, but the chicken was dry. Possibly because I was there pretty late (about 8pm) but it was still kind of a bummer. Amazing food. We started with the lamb samosas. Divine. The sauce they came with was rich and sweet. They made the best chili garlic naan ever with whole pieces of fresh chili all over it. The lamb korma was decadent, and the meat was super tender. Husband had the Chicken Chili Fry and said he was not ready for how good it was. The red and green chutneys that they serve with the papadum are also a must. Best Indian food around, super nice people, great prices. read more

This nice Indian restaurant is in Rivergate tucked under the interstate overpass. We were seated quickly and brought water. We started with the samosas which were deliciously crispy with a good amount of spicy curry flavor. It's served with a tamarind yogurt sauce which complimented the samosa perfectly. My daughter wished the yogurt and tamarind were served separately but I think the blend created a nice balance. For entrees we got classics: chicken tikka, butter chicken, and chicken korma. I appreciated that you can get customized spice levels from no spice up to Indian hot. I got the mildest possible for my son and me while my daughter got mild plus. The mild plus had just enough spice so you know it's there but not so much that your mouth is too hot half way through. The tikka and butter chicken were both really good. The butter chicken was creamy and slightly sweet while the Tikka was flavorful and tangy. The korma was delicious but I expected more coconut flavor than I got. I probably should have expected that because I prefer a lighter colored korma. All three dishes came with rice with a few golden raisins on top. I wish they had more throughout the rice. We also ordered Naan since it didn't come with the meals like I'm used to. The naan was crispy and delicious but got a touch doughy in the middle. I forgot to take a picture of the menu but the entrees run about $18 each. I wanted to get some coconut soup but it was way too expensive so I passed. Overall, this is a solid Indian restaurant. Sorry I didn't take any pictures. I really wanted to try something new for dinner tonight, so I thought, why not try something you've never had. I read the reviews, did some research online, and decided this was what I wanted. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I ordered delivery through Grubhub, and I live on the edge of Hendersonville and Gallatin. The food was packaged wonderfully. No spills and my food was still hot when it got here. I started with the vegetable samosa. It came with the yogurt dressing and some tamarind sauce. Both were delicious. I've never had tamarind before. Let me tell you, the sauce was so amazing that I could've just drank it all by itself. I also got the papadum with onion chutney, green chutney, and sweet tamarind chutney. It was all yummy, but in my opinion, the papadum is so delicious on its own that the chutneys are just a bonus. I got the butter Naan. It was good but not buttery at all. It was the perfect vessel to dip into my curry. Lastly, I got the goat curry. Hear me out. You never know until you try, and everything I read online it is similar to lamb. I love lamb, so it's a night of new I got the goat. Super tender, rich, delicious, and held up to the curry sauce perfectly. I highly recommend you give the goat a try, you won't regret it. The meal came with rice. It was fluffy, light, and delicious. The only thing I actually ate all of was the samosas. I have so much food left that I'll get at least 2 more meals out of it. The spice level was manageable. My lips did burn a little after I finished, but it was worth it. I'll need an extra prilosec tonight, but I will gladly order again and try more of this amazing food. Several months ago, a friend introduced me to Green Chili, and I've returned a number of times typically with groups of four to six people, and a few of those individuals are serious, hardcore critics of Indian cuisine - as in citizens of the country. Without hesitation I can declare this is the best Indian food in the Nashville area - that would include one or two much more expensive replicas with "famous" chefs. Among all the questions and chaos, we ordered appetizers, a meal for everyone and the bread basket. More food than anyone could finish in a single sitting and everything was a hit. The malai kofta had a very subtle flavor and the desi chicken curry is ramped up spiciness. Every dish is offered with varying levels of heat. With a large crowd the bread basket was a great accompaniment. We had a great experience and will do it again. No Sweet-n-Low for the unsweetened iced tea. Beyond that I was well pleased. The food was good. My wife had the Goat curry and loved it. I had the Lamb chops. We both got the medium heat which was perfect for my wife, but I will get hot next time, if we return. I think Indian food is just not for me. The Lamb has so much flavor added to it that I could not even taste the lamb. Might as well just use chicken if your going to put that much spice on something. I loved this restaurant! It's in such an unassuming place that I was a little concerned walking into it, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's very clean inside and open. The staff was super friendly. It took a while to put our order in initially, but found out it's because one waiter was waiting our entire area. He killed it after that. They have someone else coming around filling water and at one point I turned around to look for her to ask for water and she was coming toward me with the pitcher...mind readers?! They also bring you a basket of the puff chips that look pretty gross but we're actually really good, especially with the chutney you dip it in. Let me tell you, the food was excellent. I went with basic tikka masala because I was craving that creamy tomato sauce and it was everything I was hoping for. Medium is pretty spicy in true Indian fashion so if you don't want it to be hot, order it mild. Other stuff we ordered: Kassan naan - good but I couldn't really taste the lamb (know it's there though because you can see it) Mango lassi - love love love Chicken #6 - excellent One of the other chicken dishes I can't remember the name of - also excellent The price is also very fair for the amount of food you get, which is always great. The manager/owner/member of staff had his son at the restaurant who was repeatedly running up to our table to touch my 5 month old baby girl, even when I held her away from him he'd crawl under and over the table to get to her and try to touch her. At one point I was literally using my body as a human shield. Made me extremely uncomfortable and the fact that he was allowed to do this multiple times during our meal is an indication that he is not being raised to respect women and girls boundaries.
