The service was good, but didn't really like the food too much. It could've been what was ordered. The basmati rice was good

The food was really good. The location is kind of in an awkward position being under the interstate and back off the main road. The service was really good and the ambiance was great. The server explained the menu in detail and went over the spice levels. All of the naan breads are really good.

Just had lunch at Green Chilli Indian Restaurant, and it was excellent! Was sad to see that they were broken into last night. Everything was delicious, good service! Will definitely be back!

I lived a few blocks from 'Little India' in Los Angeles and I can say this place has amazing food and the best garlic naan I have ever had! Definitely a hidden gem! What's yummy? - Chicken Pakora (lightly breaded and fried chicken tikka) - Lamb Samosa (delicate, crispy fried pastry filled w seasoned ground lamb and veggies) - Chicken Tikka Masala (Chicken Tikka in tomato/yogurt sauce) - Garlic Naan (light, crunchy and good kick of garlic!) Spice levels- love that they offer 4. Mild, Medium, Hot and Very Hot If you like spicy, start w the medium first. Their Hot was uh pretty hot. Lol. Loved the service (they were so welcoming) and the food. Random perk: They provide good tasting drinking water - definitely wasn't just tap! Lol

Green Chili has been a favorite in our home for years. It's definitely a hidden gem of Nashville, quietly tucked under I-65 on Rivergate Pkwy. We've liked everything we have tried over the years from Biryani to Butter Chicken and more.

On the road traveling and stopped nearby. Read reviews and thought I'd give it a try. When it arrived at the table it was unlike any curry dish I've ever had. It looked like it was soaking in tomato soup. It was terrible. The bread that I ordered wasn't much better.

It was my first time eating Indian food and the server was very helpful making her suggestions for our family. We have a toddler and a 9 year old so we got the mild spice option. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, and Lamb Vindaloo to share with the Garlic Naan. We got the kids rice and chicken for the toddler but he wanted the sauce options instead. Will definitely be back.

Don't go when you are extremely hungry.. but worth the wait. Everything we got was amazing. Will be definitely coming back. So glad there's a good Indian restaurant near Hendersonville! Garlic butter naan is a must and chicken masala is out of this world.

Food was excellent, atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. The food was super tasty. I ordered chicken Tika masala. It was flavorful and filling. My sister had a spicy meal and she loved it. I forget the name of it but it was a chicken curry. She loved it. I do not tolerate super spicy food so I didn't try it. It's definitely a family friendly restaurant (there were babies in the front room). The decor was a bit outdated but the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are expensive but the quality of food made it worth it. They also do not have a lunch menu, everything is dinner prices.

As I walked into the building to pick up my order, I tried hard to look beyond the repossessed/eviction-inspired decor and design. Gods and Godesses on the walls were trying their best to bring me smiles. My nostrils wandered for the aroma of any masala or curries...alas ...then I was happy to see the kids running around and climbing walls while the restaurant was alive for a sit-down dinner. You must scroll down, way down within Google reviews, beyond the North American descendants, to really understand this hidden germ. Forgive me for spending $75, forgive me for arguing over the phone simply over missing Raitha. ......the food gave us a nice whip and a salty reminder of better options right around the corner ike McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King etc... P.S - what kind of sheek kabob is that we had? dang it ....

Ask the Community - Green Chili

Do you still offer a lunch buffet?

Just pickup Togo tonight and I asked the same question. They said not at this time, but possibly in the new Year.

    Are reservations necessary?

No. It's a pretty big beautiful place and rarely crowded. Really good.

I have a new favorite restaurant in Clarksville…read more "Aroma" is an appropriate name because you smell sweet curry spices before you open the door to go into the restaurant. The restaurant is calm and quiet on the inside with well dressed tables. The lunch buffet is setup along one wall with wonderful foods to try. After you fix your first plate, fresh cooked naan arrives on your table. The buffet choices focused on various chicken dishes and vegetarian options. There was also a good selection of sauces and chutney. Spice level was mostly low to medium. This restaurant is really a treat for your tastebuds.

(Frankly, I'm being a bit generous, with rounding up an extra half star, because they are so newly opened.) Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed our meal (actually, "meals", given that we had two additional meals of leftovers). Also, the staff person with whom I dealt was super friendly. I am really happy that this is the closest restaurant to my home! I am including photos of pretty much everything we ordered. Clearly, as you can see from the photos, this was a To-Go order. We didn't actually order the rice, but it appears to have come with our entrées. And I did not take pictures of the sauces that typically come with some Indian dishes. Starting with the appetizers, we had Meat Samosa and Samosa Chaat. We loved the Samosa Chaat. Very flavorful, quite good textures. And even a couple days later, the leftovers were really tasty. The Meat Samosa could use a bit more work. I thought that most of the pastry was really good; good flavor to it, and most well cooked and flaky. But some of the pastry was a bit undercooked and I thought that the filling could benefit from something to help it hold together a bit better, rather than being crumbly, falling back onto the plate, and needing to be corralled with a spoon. That said, I really liked the flavor. But I would lean more towards ordering the Samosa Chaat, based on this one experience. On to the mains. The Tandoori Chicken may be the best we have ever had, anywhere. (Note: I have tried the dish in well over a dozen restaurants from coast to cost in North America.) Great flavor. Well cooked. And, importantly, still moist. So many versions are disappointingly overcooked and dried out. We will definitely be ordering this on a regular basis. The Chicken Cashmere had a delicious sauce; a really flavorful dish. I would recommend that the chicken be cooked slightly less, to help keep it tender and juicy. We were torn between ordering the Cashmere and the Korma (which we have had elsewhere), and will likely be trying the Chicken Korma next time. And, then, additionally: The Papadums were nicely cooked and are among our favorites, though there is nothing particularly special or different about these. The Paratha, one of our favorite kinds of Indian bread, were OK, but seemed to be made using a somewhat overlapping spiral, rather than the multitude of layers we have had elsewhere. Toasting it lightly (in pop-up toaster, each half cut in half again) really boosted it. The Mango Chutney was a good version, as was the Achar. The rice was cooked with some spices, and so had a more interesting flavor than one gets with plain white rice. I was asked on the phone how spicy I wanted things. I said, "medium". Maybe the question was automatic and the dishes we got were not intended to by very spicy at all or maybe they don't expect the typical Central Tennessee resident to be capsicum-tolerant, but there was really little-to-no capsicum in evidence. So, next time, as I said, we'll be trying the Chicken Korma instead of the Chicken Cashmere. And we will probably be adding a Biryani. (For the Biryani, I'll be pushing for Lamb -- we'll see how that idea goes over.) And I just noticed that they have a Coconut Soup, and that seems intriguing. And, as an aside: I offered to use my sheet scanner to create a better quality copy of the menu. The original JPEG scans were about 11.5 MB each, and I converted them to a set of more manageable ~325 KB versions. (If the restaurant wants the full original scans, I can provide them.)

615chutTNey is an amazing spot to visit if you're craving Indian Cuisine…read more I personally have visited the spot multiple times for their lunch buffet and it does not disappoint! The service is great and friendly, and my personal favorite is their naan! Inside is a "warm/darker lighting" ambiance. I remember the first time I went they had live music where a lady was playing the harp on stage. Another time I went was with my girlfriend on Valentines Day. It was a great time because they even had a Valentines Day Cake a part of their lunch buffet. I would definitely recommend this place and would visit again. My personal rating: 4.5-5/5

615Chutney was good while it lasted I can confidently say I won't be a customer there anymore…read more There are too many good Indian food spots in Nashville and surrounding areas to be reduced down to a spot like this. As they are on the inkind app, in the past I've used the app to pay for pickup orders. The last time I used it for a pickup order I tipped almost $30 on that pickup order. I call to place another pickup order as I have family here and wanted them to try one of our regular spots. I ask the employee just to confirm that it would be ok like it usually is and he says no all of a sudden and with a hint of an attitude. I say thank you, we end the call without me ordering anything, and I instead order the entire order from Jashan. I don't think businesses realize how important consistency of service is in this industry. I am quite aware this is one of those everything was usually good and the one time it goes bad I'm complaining situations and I stand by it. I've worked much of my entire adult life in the service industry so I know how EASY it is to provide good service. You actually have to go out of your way to provide bad service so it's more than fair to judge a business by their last interaction with you. And again there are too many good Indian food spots in Nashville to deal with the inconsistency of service.
