This is our go-to Indian restaurant. We always dine here on a weekday, yet today decided to eat out on a Sunday. Big mistake. It was awful today. Extremely dry chicken in the Chicken Tikki Marsala. Lack of flavor in the Chicken Korma. The buttered naan was terrible! Besides being dripping with butter, it was as thin as a paper plate...the thinnest of paper plates! Typically it's fluffy. Service has been better. Restaurant temperature was warm at the beginning of our meal and cooled off slowly. Just so disappointed today. I'm giving a three because the food is so good - but.... This restaurant is a dump. It hasn't been open maybe only 7 years, I think, but it that short time, the inside has deteriorated. When they first opened, it was so sleek and shiny - a long way from what it is today! We ate there last Sunday the 19th of April. There is duct tape EVERYWHERE trying to hold the once glossy, once white, once clean laminate in place. The booth we sat in (also cushion ripped and worn) had no less than 6 strips of duct tape holding it together. If you look around the dining room, it is on most of the joints, keeping them together. It is als VERY junky and cluttered. Went to the bathroom (another area that needs a lot of work) and there are rolling storage cabinets lining the hall making it very claustrophobic. On the way back to the table I looked behind the bar - a hodge podge of tools and caulk guns and whatever else I do not know piled in the floor. It was a mess. Corners and baseboards, chair legs and booth bases were just - dirty. Years of residue built up. Probably won't eat inside ever again, it is just so depressing, especially after knowing what it once was. We were there at prime lunch time after church and there were only three tables seated and a couple of to go customers. read more

Ordered a late lunch and had it delivered via Uber Eats. I ordered spring rolls, Chicken Vindaloo (and complimentary rice), and garlic naan. Spring rolls, three mini rolls, had a mushy interior, so they probably came in frozen. The chili sauce that came with the rolls was actually very good. The Vindaloo had a beautiful savory sauce with a nice punch of spice. The chicken and potatoes in the sauce were delicious and the garlic naan went perfectly to transfer the sauce to my mouth! read more

My favorite Indian place in Mount Juliet. My go to is the goat Vindaloo and a mango lassi. Literally the best mango lassi in all of the land. Lol maybe not, but it's very good. The mango flavor really comes through. Service is always very consistently good. Plenty of parking in the strip. read more

I've been to this location quite a few times over the years and it has a consistent quality of food and the service is usually good. It has a casual vibe and they play authentic Indian music, which had my wife and I bobbing our heads to the music. It has a moderate noise level and is moderately priced. They do have a full bar. They will ask you how you want your spice ( Heat ) level. We always get low level and its good. So disappointed I have to add this update 1 star update. I've ordered takeout from this restaurant several times now, and have never had an issue, but this past Saturday I ordered 2 chicken tikka masala mild with a garlic naan bread. It was f until I got home and took a bite did I realize my food was SPICY. Also, the garlic naan had pepper flakes added, which made that spicy as well. I was annoyed, and called the restaurant to see if they could replace the order. I spoke to 4 different guys who couldn't speak English well before I finally was told that they would call me back. 2 hours go by with no call, so I call back and was told the manager wasn't there and i should call them AGAIN on Sunday. Now 5 days have gone by with no resolution. Needless to say, I will not be back. Still fantastic a yr later. We stopped here again on our way back home from Nashville. I was worried as I saw some more recent photos negative reviews(must be randoms) as amongst over a 100 Indian restaurants, this one stands out at the top. And they are truly fine Indian cuisine. I know their sow Yi's Briyani which we loved before but wanted something spicy so tried the Lamb Vindaloo which had so much umami depth and flavor. We asked for med hot and loved it--it was a bit hotter than a typical Tobasco hot sauce this time, as expected. Lamb was tender. Also got the classic Chicken Tikka Masala which was creamy and balanced the spiciness of the other dish. Got the garlic naan as they expertly make it there. Soooo good. I finally got to introduce my boyfriend to Indian food! This was just the place. It was busy the whole time we were there (weeknight), both at the tables and with people grabbing to-go orders. The Chai was hot (really hot-we both added ice from our water), but once it cooled down was very good. It was served light, so either they added some kind of creamer or used a powder mix, but it wasn't sweet so that was good. They brought out sugar with it to add your own sweetness. Veggie Samosas - we had to get these, and I'm glad we did! They were really good, had nice flavor, and the sauces were great, too. He tried the Butter Chicken - it was mild and he liked it though even mild he thought was right on the cusp of being spicy (we had different opinions on that - I thought it was definitely mild) but we both really liked it. It reminded me of an Indian vodka sauce, maybe? Very rich and really filling. I had the Navataran Koorma (Veggie curry) and that was lovely. Mine was medium heat and that's about where I'm good; it still has all the flavor and it takes a few minutes for my nose to realize what's happening haha Garlic Naan was amazing, and we got some butter naan to go. The food was amazing and l loved the green sauce, but I totally whiffed on my order. I thought I ordered the Paneer Butter Masala entree, but mistakenly ordered the paneer tikka appetizer. It was still very good, but my heart was set on some Indian comfort food, cheese cooked in a hearty creamy tomato sauce. Instead I got grilled cottage cheese and veggies which is more of a appetizer. The Samosas were huge and off the hook! One order comes with two, which is pretty pricey, but worth it. Dip these in the green sauce! I could literally drink that green sauce! We tried the Persus Biryani Grill in Mt Juliet and were so happy we did! We have had Indian food before and are familiar with the different dishes. We ordered the Samosas for an appetizer, Butter Chicken, Lamb Biryani, and garlic naan. For a beverage we ordered Flying Horse beer. The beer arrived with chilled glass mugs and large bottles of beer . The beer was a light lager with great flavor. The samosas were delicious, accompanied by two sauces on the side, one was spicy and the other was sweet, everything was so good. Next came the main course. The butter chicken war tender, bathed in a sauce full of flavor. The lamb biryani was served on a large plate covered in rice. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The garlic naan bread was so good we had to order more to go to eat at home with our leftovers. Overall we truly enjoyed the experience. We will return to try other dishes. read more

We've gotten takeout from Persis a few times now and every time we have been blown away. Incredible vegetarian dishes - my new go-to's are definitely the chilli baby corn (IT IS UNREAL) and Bhindi Masala. My fiancé and I usually order a bunch of apps and entrees to eat over three days.
