One of the best Indian food we've ever eaten! I ordered the Mint Chicken and my son ordered Chicken Tika Masala. Chicken was tender and very flavorful on both dishes. Plenty for 3 of us. Mango lassi was great too.

Fantastic place to go! Such great prices, tastes, portions and ambiance! Seriously, the food was incredible. It was exactly like the food I remember in India. Solid food. Happy to eat what we did! The soup was super smooth. The chicken tikka masala was amazing. The chicken vindaloo had hearty potatoes and great spices! I will recommend for authentic Indian food!

Stopped here for the $15 lunch buffet while in Clarksville. They had: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Channa Masala, Aloo Gobi, Gulab Jamun, Tandoori Chicken, two kinds of rice, some vegetables, and a few other things. They charge a 3.5% surcharge for using credit cards which wasn't mentioned when I went to pay so you're actually paying $17.12 for that buffet after taxes and the ridiculous surcharge. Restaurants are supposed to absorb this fee for the convenience and increased customer base, but I digress. My favorites were the Tandoori Chicken (messy but delicious), Aloo Gobi, and Channa Masala. The Gulab Jamun did not taste fresh, but that's just my opinion. When I arrived at about 11:30 everything on the buffet seemed relatively new. When I left about 12:30 everything was pretty picked over and it was never refreshed with more food, so get here early if you want decent food from the buffet. It supposedly lasts until 2:30. Staff was friendly but absent when I went to pay and I had to wait a bit for someone to come around. I'm not sure why it gets 5 star reviews. For me, it wasn't worth the price. The Tandoori Chicken was really good and fresh though.

Really doesn't look like much outside...used to be a Mexican restaurant and they don't have a big sign to attract much attention. This was our second time visiting, but our first time ordering from the menu versus having the buffet for lunch. We were seated promptly. Seating itself was not the most comfortable and because of the way the place was setup before, the booth bench I sat in was farther away from the table than I would have liked...pulling the table closer would have meant pulling it away from my wife and shifting my bench towards the table probably would have upset the people behind me. I really think they should improve this as well as take down the decor from the previous restaurant. When we ordered our drinks, I asked for a water (which is served from a pitcher kept at the table) and a Mango Lassi, but I wanted the Lassi to be brought out with my food...which they did. On to the food...we started off with some Onion Bhajiya and it was absolutely delicious! Not overly battered, but just right to get that crunch from the chickpea batter. I ordered the Chicken Madras in MEDIUM and it certainly had a kick to it, which was what I expected. Very nice blend of spices and herbs to give a lot of depth to the sauce. My wife ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala in MILD and was very happy that it did NOT have any heat. She really enjoyed the dish and commented that it really tasted as if it had been simmering for a long time, time to get all of the flavors going in it. And the Paneer Kulcha! So good!!! We did order a side of Raita in case something was extremely hot, but it never came (more on that later). We were both a little disappointed in the rice, it seemed like it was leftover rice from the buffet and a little moist and clumpy...but the sauces helped with that. I rated this as 5 Stars because of the taste of the sauces...they were just fabulous but... ...when it was time to check out and pay our bill, we were handed one of those Square machines already on the tip screen. I asked them to make sure that the Raita was not on there because we ordered it and never received it so they took it off and gave me the machine back. I paid the tab and then got the receipt showing that we ordered TWO Mango Lassi's, but I only ordered one. Handing the machine this way, I know, is an effort to be as contactless as possible, but I think it would be much better to print a receipt and do this transaction the normal way. If you like Indian food do yourself a favor and visit Royal Indian Cuisine!

We tried 3 entrees: Goat Curry, Chicken Dhaba & Lamb Korma - all delicious! (Our Photo)

Food 5/5 - Portions 5/5 - Service 5/5 - Cleanliness 5/5 - Price 5/5 Don't miss this brand new Indian restaurant (it replaced Don Pancho Mexican restaurant)! This restaurant is a godsend for my Indian husband and myself! We have been starved of quality, authentic Indian food in town and we were driving to Nashville every other weekend or so to have the real deal, now we can get authentic flavorful Indian food down the street from our home! We are thrilled! It is rare that I would view an experience as perfect in every category, but this truly is. I am so impressed at the quality of service, food, and cleanliness especially since they just opened a couple days prior to this review! I'm excited to see how they make over the space into their own style. The staff are so kind and attentive, you can tell they really care about their customers and their food! We've already been twice in the same week lol I feel like they might get tired of us but we can't help it, my husband grew up eating a lot of these foods and I love my mom-in-law's cooking so it reminds us of home and warms our hearts and tummies!

I have a new favorite restaurant in Clarksville…read more "Aroma" is an appropriate name because you smell sweet curry spices before you open the door to go into the restaurant. The restaurant is calm and quiet on the inside with well dressed tables. The lunch buffet is setup along one wall with wonderful foods to try. After you fix your first plate, fresh cooked naan arrives on your table. The buffet choices focused on various chicken dishes and vegetarian options. There was also a good selection of sauces and chutney. Spice level was mostly low to medium. This restaurant is really a treat for your tastebuds.

(Frankly, I'm being a bit generous, with rounding up an extra half star, because they are so newly opened.) Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed our meal (actually, "meals", given that we had two additional meals of leftovers). Also, the staff person with whom I dealt was super friendly. I am really happy that this is the closest restaurant to my home! I am including photos of pretty much everything we ordered. Clearly, as you can see from the photos, this was a To-Go order. We didn't actually order the rice, but it appears to have come with our entrées. And I did not take pictures of the sauces that typically come with some Indian dishes. Starting with the appetizers, we had Meat Samosa and Samosa Chaat. We loved the Samosa Chaat. Very flavorful, quite good textures. And even a couple days later, the leftovers were really tasty. The Meat Samosa could use a bit more work. I thought that most of the pastry was really good; good flavor to it, and most well cooked and flaky. But some of the pastry was a bit undercooked and I thought that the filling could benefit from something to help it hold together a bit better, rather than being crumbly, falling back onto the plate, and needing to be corralled with a spoon. That said, I really liked the flavor. But I would lean more towards ordering the Samosa Chaat, based on this one experience. On to the mains. The Tandoori Chicken may be the best we have ever had, anywhere. (Note: I have tried the dish in well over a dozen restaurants from coast to cost in North America.) Great flavor. Well cooked. And, importantly, still moist. So many versions are disappointingly overcooked and dried out. We will definitely be ordering this on a regular basis. The Chicken Cashmere had a delicious sauce; a really flavorful dish. I would recommend that the chicken be cooked slightly less, to help keep it tender and juicy. We were torn between ordering the Cashmere and the Korma (which we have had elsewhere), and will likely be trying the Chicken Korma next time. And, then, additionally: The Papadums were nicely cooked and are among our favorites, though there is nothing particularly special or different about these. The Paratha, one of our favorite kinds of Indian bread, were OK, but seemed to be made using a somewhat overlapping spiral, rather than the multitude of layers we have had elsewhere. Toasting it lightly (in pop-up toaster, each half cut in half again) really boosted it. The Mango Chutney was a good version, as was the Achar. The rice was cooked with some spices, and so had a more interesting flavor than one gets with plain white rice. I was asked on the phone how spicy I wanted things. I said, "medium". Maybe the question was automatic and the dishes we got were not intended to by very spicy at all or maybe they don't expect the typical Central Tennessee resident to be capsicum-tolerant, but there was really little-to-no capsicum in evidence. So, next time, as I said, we'll be trying the Chicken Korma instead of the Chicken Cashmere. And we will probably be adding a Biryani. (For the Biryani, I'll be pushing for Lamb -- we'll see how that idea goes over.) And I just noticed that they have a Coconut Soup, and that seems intriguing. And, as an aside: I offered to use my sheet scanner to create a better quality copy of the menu. The original JPEG scans were about 11.5 MB each, and I converted them to a set of more manageable ~325 KB versions. (If the restaurant wants the full original scans, I can provide them.)

This isn't just my favorite Indian restaurant in Tennessee--it's hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. Everything from the moment you walk in feels special. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and inviting without feeling over-the-top. The staff has always been welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations, making every visit feel like a great experience. The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is packed with bold, authentic flavors while still feeling creative and unique. You can tell there's incredible attention to detail in every bite. The sauces are rich and perfectly balanced, the meats are cooked to perfection, and the fresh naan is something I could order over and over again. I've tried Indian food in several places over the years, and nothing has come close to this. As a huge Food Network fan, it made the experience even more exciting knowing this is Chef Maneet Chauhan's restaurant. I've watched her for years on Tournament of Champions, Chopped, and other Food Network shows, so finally getting to enjoy her food in person exceeded every expectation I had. This is one of those restaurants I recommend to everyone who visits Nashville. Whether you're already a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is the place to go. I'll be coming back again and again--it's become my favorite restaurant in Tennessee, and I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu. Highly, highly recommend!

When they first opened, it was so sleek and shiny - a long way from what it is today! We ate there last Sunday the 19th of April. There is duct tape EVERYWHERE trying to hold the once glossy, once white, once clean laminate in place. The booth we sat in (also cushion ripped and worn) had no less than 6 strips of duct tape holding it together. If you look around the dining room, it is on most of the joints, keeping them together. It is als VERY junky and cluttered. Went to the bathroom (another area that needs a lot of work) and there are rolling storage cabinets lining the hall making it very claustrophobic. On the way back to the table I looked behind the bar - a hodge podge of tools and caulk guns and whatever else I do not know piled in the floor. It was a mess. Corners and baseboards, chair legs and booth bases were just - dirty. Years of residue built up. Probably won't eat inside ever again, it is just so depressing, especially after knowing what it once was. We were there at prime lunch time after church and there were only three tables seated and a couple of to go customers.
