Started great, ended horrible. Had maybe 2 good services in a year. One service tech came by and my dog was outside, understandable for him to go to the front and wait. Dog was let in per request from their text system, dog was let in. Rep proceeded to sit in his car for 10 mins and then left without service. EDIT: Location is La Marque, TX in Galveston County. If I could give negative stars I would. This company is a scam and provides the worst customer service I've literally ever experienced. TLDR; Green Country Pest will not address complaints. Management is a brick wall who will avoid you at all costs and disregard the issue if you do pester the phone line enough to speak with them. The salesman pressured me to sign this agreement the same day in order to schedule my initial treatment conveniently after my next-door neighbor the following day. The salesman offered a discount to the initial service to incentivize due to the convenience of them coming here for the neighbor anyways. I am a renter and stated that I needed time to discuss this with my landlord prior to signing anything. The salesman then offered an adjusted cancellation fee to mitigate the risk. I cancelled my agreement 2 weeks later upon learning that my landlord had a pest treatment plan of his own for the property. When I called "the office" number for cancellation, I emphasized that we had an off-nominal agreement and they ensured me that management would be in contact with me to confirm the fee prior to any charges. The following day, my card had been charged the full cancellation fee. It has now been 2 months and at least a dozen phone calls back to "the office" contact, which I've now learned is a fully remote work force that is entirely out of touch with management. They've all been pleasant in explaining that the most they can do is flag a note on my account for management to look at, with zero way to actually forward me to a manager for communication. I was told EIGHT TIMES that a manager would call me back ASAP before I received any communication at all. One of these instances, the representative couldn't even access my account because a manager was actively reviewing it and I STILL DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL BACK. Today, 2 months into this circus event, I finally got a call. She stated that they will not be making any adjustments. At this point, I'm not even angry about the charge. I am angry about the complete disorganization and lack of professionalism. They do not care to hear customer complaints or to remedy their wrongs. The manager hung up the phone in the middle of me talking. If you can't adjust the charge to address the mistake your company made, then at least confront the communication holes that were uncovered along the way. This is no way to organize a business. I lost more from the time and effort spent trying to reach someone of authority than I lost from the mischievous cancellation agreement. If a salesman is not authorized to make specialized agreements, then contracts should not be signed on a tablet at the door where fine print cannot be viewed. I asked multiple times where it showed the cancellation policy we discussed and he pointed to the initial service fee emphasizing exactly what we agreed on. It turns out, that it was the inverse of that, they charge the amount discounted from the full price initial service. They should create contracts at the door and email them for review prior to signatures! It is that easy of a fix. If you want to run a shady business with empty promises, then at least provide a document where the agreement can actually be read before we sign it. A tablet document signature makes it far too easy to only show the customer what you want them to see and not the full page, especially when it zooms to only the signature window at time of signing. read more

At last! We had a terrible large-sized black, brown & amber ants--a biting/stinging hybrid infestation. The next day, we saw one lone tiny ant near a window. Day 2, another tiny one in the entry hall. We haven't seen a single ant since then! No spiders, roaches, odd crawling creatures...nothing. We have seen wasps on the porches & sprayed Hot Shot into their favorite weep hole. I will call for a visit before our next appointment but we're very satisfied & thrilled that the ants were gone so quickly. Our technician was great! Highly recommend! read more

Worst company ever, DO NOT USE THEM!!! I changed from one company to them because their salesman was beyond pushy. They serviced my home multiple times for spiders but I continue to have sliders inside my home with young children. I even had one of their technicians tell me to leave a spider because it was not harmless!! I also continue to have an issue with wasps because they are not removing the nests. Asked to speak with a manager regarding the cancellation fee and was told they are on vacation, the lady on the phone processed the cancellation fee while we were on the phone arguing. John described in detail all he needed to do to treat our new home as we were already seeing ants on the house and in the flower beds. We have a green area behind our house so we are likely prone to have all kinds of pests. John is very personable and knowlegable about the treatments. He explained in a manner that we could really understand the life cycle of pests! He is very thorough. We look forward to seeing him again. After reading the negative reviews here, I will be vigilant over pests in our home and yard and if I see any I will expect retreatments. If anything changes, I will change this review. read more

Do not sign up for service with this company. You would be better off throwing marshmallows at critters rather than the sprays this company uses. I signed up for service and the salesman told me that cancellation would be the price of my monthly charges for however many treatments I had received. What he didn't tell me was if they give you a promotional discount, that is what you pay to cancel services. They charged my card without authorization $290 to cancel services after I told them I wouls be changing my card information. Beware of this scummy company take my word for it. read more

Called the company to request someone come back out because of a bee infestation in my front yard that wasn't treated on the initial visit a couple weeks ago. They told me I would not be charged. Guess what? They sent a tech out who had no idea what to do about bees. And to make matters worse, right after he left, I got a charge for $62.00. Then, 3 days later, I get ANOTHER charge for $59.00! I'm about to cancel this account. I don't want this company having access to my credit card. If you're smart, you won't either. read more

We tried to start anew service with them, they were very difficult to work with! The first representative did not show up and when I called their office whoever answered my call laughed at me then the representative couldn't find our address! They never called to let me know that they were not coming out! I canceled the service with them and one week later a different representative showed up without notifying us they were coming! The representative said he knew it was canceled but wanted to see if I would give them another chance! I told know because I did not like being laughed at or being lied to! The service was fast but not seeing if the back yard was sprayed because my dogs, even in the house, will bark & throw a fit if anyone was in the back yard & that never happened. I know since the Covid pandemic they are not knocking on the front door so you don't know they are here. Such a disappointment. I got many recommendations about this place and decided to go for it. I was informed that it would be a $300 flat rate and every 14 days for another visit to be made along with a free inspection. I was like this is great! I love it. The office staff said my card will be billed once my first appointment was done. They give you an account to set up to check payments and appointments. I checked the balance and it said $0. Perfect! My tech for my first treatment was using the products like he paid for them and didnt want to spray everywhere where the pest were indicated. I was like , "it's fine. We shall see". During that first visit, he stated that we should go to a different company and even gave me the stores name to get the products AND said the company charges $50 a month to keep their services. Like WHAT. Who does that?? So anywayd I checked the acct and it gave me dates of my upcoming treatments. I called the company when the day came and asked, "no tech today??" And the lady told me , "well I think we don't come out to you until you schedule another appointment with us because usually it only takes 1 treatment". I made an appointment and got another tech. Tyre. HE IS THE BEST. He actually listened to us and did a fantastic job. He gets 5 Stars but the company? Forget it. I call to schedule again to request for Tyre again and as im speaking to another office staff they say, "you're good to go.". The date comes and I realized that he never showed up. So I called again, "Oh, well from our end, you never had an appointment." I set another date for a friday. He showed up Thursday. So now im going 2-3 weeks without my 3rd treatment. Completely unorganized company. Then as im speaking to this person they tell me I have an outstanding balance of $326 OVER a month later and by this time. I no longer have the money and I said I will pay it when I get paid. My account got charged today and it made me go negative and I have yet to get my 3rd treatment. It seems to me that nobody knows what is going on and they can charge the bill but not when they said they would have originally. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with this company. This review is so disheartening to write. After being extremely pleased with the services rendered for regular sprays a bed bug infestation occurred in my home. This was discovered after I was covered from head to toe in bed bug bites. We immediately called them out to spray our entire home and were told that they needed to spray again in 7-10 days to kill off what was left of them. We had another appointment set within the time frame that was considered acceptable in which the technician never showed up for. 4 1/2 hours later I received a phone call that the technician had called in sick and they wouldn't be able to come and spray. They rescheduled for a time outside of the recommended time frame and I expressed some concerns. The technician came back out and chose not to spray and instead charged me $150 for an inspection without spraying anything. Within just a few days I was again covered in bites. After calling to express my frustration I was told that I had to pay the due amount for the "inspection" when no treatments were rendered. I expressed concern and frustration because the treatment and inspection were done outside of the recommended time frame and I was again covered in bites. This lead to an extremely heated exchange with the technician who chose not to spray our home after coming days late. He tried to tell me that my bites were not from bed bugs and instead were from fleas. I will clarify that the bed bug diagnosis was given to me by not only my General Practitioner but also from a Dermatologist. The technician tried to tell me that I was wrong and that the bites were from fleas, not bed bugs, though he acknowledged that he did not see any signs of fleas in our home, not to mention that my pets, husband, and children are not being bit by fleas. Fleas do not discriminate while bed bugs do and I am highly allergic. I am being offered absolutely zero reprieve for the misjudgment of the situation by the technician or the tardiness in regards coming back within the recommended time frame, in addition to an absolute boat load of frustration. I cannot even begin to tell you how upsetting it is to be told that I am wrong and that my doctors are wrong. All I want is a home free of bed bugs and for someone to right this situation that was clearly handled very wrong. I am more than happy to provide photos of the bites for clarification and I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that because of this situation I will be covered in scars from my shoulders straight down to my toes. What a wonderful reminder of such a terrible, terrible situation. read more

I hate fire ants in the yard. I DETEST fire ants in the house. Green country came out and gave me an estimate for a yearlong exterminating contract that I feel was fair and definitely effective. The staff that I've dealt with is very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. Best of all, I haven't seen an ant since their first treatment. read more
