We visited Green Diamond on 4-11 for a birthday dinner. Seven in our party. Excellent service and food. Louisa was on top of all of our food and bar needs. I had the salmon. Others had the cod and walleye. Friday during lent and every fish was great. My son got 3 pieces of the cod and really only needed 2. Only ate half because the pieces so large but really good. We have door dashed food from here and it was great. However today we ate in the restaraunt. We had a table of five. The food took for ever to get, the waitresses were arguing and all our food was cold when we got it. I don't know if they were just understaffed or they are just so disorganized that they couldn't get the food out on time. In my opinion They were not busy at all, but slow as molasses's. My friend got chicken wings and they were like rubber, they looked like plastic and were cold. He couldn't even eat them. We ordered drinks that they forgot to bring those as well. Really enjoyed eating here! We were celebrating a special occasion and wanted a casual environment. This was definitely the place to eat! We made reservations earlier in the week, which I recommend doing. The food and service were excellent! Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. All of the servers were working hard to see customers were taken care of. Food is freshly prepared and made to order. Highly recommend the clam chowder! Very unique and delicious! We ate here on a third Friday, which I also recommend because a specialty is prime rib and scampi. Loved it! My only reason for four stars instead of five is that there wasn't a hostess near the stand at the door, and we had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to ask us what time our reservation was for and my name. We were still able to be seated at the time of our reservation. I do highly recommend eating here! The food was super delicious, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. Definitely gone down hill... Dined here the other night, my husband ordered the ribs, which he has had on other occasions, however on this night what he was served didn't even look like ribs. The meat was a grayish color, looked like they had been boiled. The 'barbecue sauce' looked like a watery gravy and he said it tasted more like teriyaki sauce. He was only able a few bites. The waitress noticed and asked if we wanted to speak to a manager... we aren't the kind of people that like to make a fuss and have a manager come to our table. I ordered the red snapper with rice and sweet potato fries. The snapper was so over cooked I could barely cut it with a knife. I took it home and gave it to my dogs, the rice was dry and very bland. The jalapeño chicken sandwich, cheesecake, and the salads with grilled chicken are fairly good. The garlic parmesan chicken with pasta was not good-- dry, way too garlicky, and needed a sauce and a hefty squeeze of lemon. The bruschetta is not traditional, was soggy and bland. My daughter and I decided to try a new restaurant. We both love Ruben's and when looking at the menu it gave the description as 'famous Ruben". We thought we would try it. Unfortunately, we were unable to determine what made this Reuben famous. There were a few slices of lunch meat style corned beef with sauerkraut. The sandwich came with chips which were extremely stale. We chose not to eat the chips. Also, they have a 3% fee if you use a credit card. We did not know this prior to choosing this restaurant where we would not have chosen it. My personal opinion is that it is now 2022 and restaurants should be billing the credit card fee that they pay for accepting credit cards into the cost of the food. Thought we'd try something different and hadn't been here for several years, so we thought we'd try it again. Had a party of 3 and was seated right away at one of the tables in their raised seating area. There were 2 other parties in this area, one at the table next to us and one at the opposite end. There were perhaps 4 or 5 other parties in the restaurant, besides the 3 on the raised area, that we could see. Granted, many area restaurants have a shortage of servers and the service may be a bit slower than usual. But we sat at our table for 20 minutes and no one came by to take our drink orders or even to recognize we were there and would get to us soon. The other tables were being visited by their servers on a regular basis - I counted at least 5 servers walking around. Each of the 2 tables in our immediate area had their own separate server and neither even looked our way, mentioned that someone would be with us shortly or anything. So after 20 minutes of being ignored, we left. It will be a long time before we try this place again, if at all. read more

Living here in barberton I really wanted to have a nice better than a chain more upscale restaurant for my husband and I to visit. After checking out the website I thought this might be it. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My first experience with the restaurant was on Father's Day. We took my father and we were seated right away. The decor is.. interesting?! The chairs that we sat on actually had wheels on them which I have not seen since I was a child so I'm thinking that this restaurant hasn't been updated very much. The breakfast menu was standard fare. We all placed our orders and waited. Due to the staffing shortages we expected a bit of a wait as we only saw one server running around. The breakfast came out all except for mine. The server apologized and said she would get it right out. My table ate their entire breakfast and I still had no plate in front of me. I called the waitress over and asked her to just box it up whenever they did fix it and I would eat it at home. Due to this they comped the entire breakfast which I was not expecting. We still tipped the waitress as she seemed very frantic and we had empathy for the situation with the servers going on now. The food was nothing to rave about... it was just plain breakfast food and it would have been quite expensive (overpriced) if we had paid. So my husband and I decided to give this place another shot because it is close to us. We went during one of their lobsterfest nights and pretty much everything that we decided to order the kitchen was out of. So for dinner I had a cup of lobster bisque, glass of Riesling and a shrimp cocktail consisting of five medium size shrimp. The bisque was overly heavy on the cream and butter, so I'm glad I ordered a cup only. My husband had a chicken Philly with fries because they were out of ribs.Again, nothing special here. The bill was over $50 just for this and really was not worth it at all in my opinion. The clientele here is definitely over 50 and the music that's blasting is early 70s 80s rock This place isn't upscale at all, which was my expectation based on menu prices. I hit up this cool little sports bar for a business lunch this past week. We set up shop at a big table in the heart of the restaurant and had plenty of room to spread out some worksheets and a laptop. The waitress was great, offering excellent service throughout the lunch. The food was good enough, but nothing special. I had stuffed pepper soup to start out with... that was a unique dish that I have never had before and I really enjoyed it. It was the best part of the meal. I followed it up with a buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries... the wrap was good, but the fries weren't the best. They were kind of soggy and I am prefer sweet potato fries with a salty seasoning... these were very cinnamon tasting and came with an apple sauce cup to dip. I only ate a couple. BOTTOM LINE: A solid place for lunch and likely an even better place for football and beer. read more

I had heard good things about this place from a friend so my dad, boyfriend, and I decided to try it out. 1st impressions were good, we sat on the pub side and it was nicely decorated. This is your Saturday night special and you are sold out at 6:30...best part was that the place wasn't even close to half full. We looked over the menu for 2nd choices and finally ordered. We started with the calamari. It was obviously frozen and wayyyy too fried. It was also served with a tiny plastic cup of cold marinara...pretty disappointing. Our salads came out next and were just average. Again, the dressing was in a tiny plastic cup, which I found strange considering their entrees were in the $15-$25 range. Dinner arrived and at 1st glace, my scallop pasta looked pretty good. The scallops were a little over cooked and the pasta a litte undercooked, but it had nice flavor. My boyfriend and dad both got burgers. My dad ordered his rare and it was well done. My boyfriend's was ok, but the bun was way larger than the patty. As I was eating, I looked down and noticed a HAIR. A nice black hair in my pasta. We called over the waitress who apologized and ripped the plate away. As she was walking to the kitchen, I heard the bartender yell to her "Are you really surprised?" Wow, way to make you feel good. She came back after a few minutes to ask me if I wanted something else. They ended up making me another half order of my pasta. I didn't finish it, but that's besides the point. When we were done eating, the waitress brought the check...no discount, no manager apology, no free dessert offered. After being in the restaurant for 8 years myself, I know what customer service is and this place had none. Definitely won't be going back. My husband and I were in the area to visit his relatives and I wish I had looked at some reviews of this place when it was suggested. The food was low-quality, lousy bar food. Some of the lettuce in my salad was wilted, and it was served with a measly two small croutons. Parts of the buffalo chicken sandwich were too tough to chew, but the flavor was alright. The iced tea tasted so horrid that I couldn't bear to have more than two sips. I was a bit taken aback when the server addressed me as "Miss" rather than the more age-appropriate "Ma'am", but then again, expecting the staff at a scuzzy bar to show proper etiquette would probably be asking too much.
