Food was good but expensive. waitress was nice, ambiance was fair. We ate here years ago and weren't compelled to go back until recently. This visit was better.

We have been to Scratch Steakhouse and Lounge twice now and both times, have received outstanding quality food and service. In fact, we drive almost an hour just to come here. The restaurant is in the smaller side, but it's appropriate for the location, which is in a smaller town. Dress code is casual and we made reservations online for a Friday night at 7 but didn't really need them. They were fully occupied but still had tables open. We chose to sit at the empty bar. We were greeted promptly and offered suggestions of what to order. We got a bottle of wine and we're given complimentary cheddar biscuits while we waited. We ordered the smoked chicken dip with fried pita chips that was outstanding. When we ate all the chips, the server quickly brought us more, freshly fried and piping hot. My husband had the steak Oscar that was cooked perfectly to order and I had the lumberjack short ribs which was a huge portion without any fat, that fell apart easily. Everything was delicious. The staff checked on us frequently and were friendly and attentive to our needs. We felt that received great value for our money and we will definitely return again.

Great service, steaks and amazing drinks. Great menu options and many selections for beer, wine, and bar drinks.

So I went here with my parents the other night, and I found it to be a charming little bar area with vintage wood work at the bar. Beautiful molding in the wood and classic tin-pressed ceilings. I'm sure that bar holds lots of cool local history and stories. It is not a large space, and it filled up quickly early on a Friday evening. I had the fish and chips, which was absolutely delicious. I loved the fresh cut fries and the crispy fish. The coleslaw left some things to be desired. A little sloppy and over-mayonaissed, but I wasn't mad, because I was too full to eat that anyhow. My parents weren't as excited about their meals, but I think they probably ordered the wrong thing. (They have been doing a low carb diet and missed out on the amazing fried options that I had.) Friendly service. Good place.

Excellent find. We heard about this place and drove from Uniontown (20 or so minutes). Our service was great. My parents loved the berry mojito and scratch lemonade. We tried the mussel appetizer special which was amazing as well as started with Caesar salads and clam chowder. For dinner, I had the petite strip with bacon/blue cheese/and peppercorn topper along with Mac and cheese. My husband had the aged New York strip with asparagus and a loaded baked potato. Mother had the filed Oscar style with crab meet (they were out of lobster) and my dad had the brisket meal (he strongly recommended it). All good was VERY good. Great priced wines. The Pinot noir was excellent for the economical price. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because our server was seated a 6-top, 5-top and us (4-top) at the same time and some of the initial drinks and ordering were thus a little delayed though she handled it well. Also, my husbands meal was missing a few items which was eventually resolved. Overall, great stop and we'll be back.

The food was really delicious. Perfect sear and robust beef flavor on my filet. The potato bombs were aptly named. My husband loved his steak with a peppercorn sauce, spicy Mac and cheese. My cocktail was a peach sangria and it was strong and delicious/fresh tasting. Our waitress Tiana* was welcoming, warm, and just a pleasure to talk to. I didn't catch the kitchen manager's name but he came out to ask us about our food twice, and he was also very kind and nice. The music and the vibe was very chill, great jazzy music and a homey feeling. They have specials Monday night- definitely one of the best meals I've had in a long time!!

Dry aged Ribeye. NOT WORTH $45.

Today was mine and my wife's first time at this restaurant. What a let down. First it took 15-20 min for our waiter to come to our table. He brought us room temperature water. After another 15 min he finally took our order. We ordered red hot potato bombs those were the only reason this is getting 2 stars. The service was terrible. I ordered the dry aged ribeye with a house salad and garlic mashers and my wife had the sirloin with a baked potato and house salad. My steak was $45 and over cooked. The picture is my second steak which was still a bit over medium rare and had no flavor. I would not recommend. High end prices. Low end services. Go to 91 wood fired oven close to this restaurant but way better.

While our server was very kind, we asked several questions about the products that he had no idea how to answer. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates specifically because they said they had chorizo and manchego - which sounded interesting - but when we mentioned to the waiter that they were just dates and bacon he looked at us confused and said they should have been stuffed. They weren't. We also ordered the hummus plate that did not come with near enough hummus for the pita and veggies. When we asked if we could get more hummus he said we'd have buy another plate. I get it, but get your proportions at least close. We really came for the bourbon. The single barrel was quite good... but at $95 we could not pull the trigger. I'm sure some tourists will.

But we thought we would try it for coffee and breakfast. Not so great.... The serivce was really slow. We had a very long wait.. 15+ mins for drinks, and about another 15-20 mins on food. Only had 1 person taking orders and ringing people up. Should have had 2 people, Only had 1 person to make the drinks. Should have 2. And to top it off, after waiting that long, not really busy. The food and drink was just mediocre. Would be back for evening drinks and music but not coffee and a muffin for breakfast.

We sat outside on the upper patio and there were servers that checked on other tables but didn't check on us. Not sure if it's because we carried our food and drinks up from the counter ourselves or how that works. Two of us ordered the lucky charm matcha (good luck charm?), the description sounded amazing. The actual drink was less so, just matcha and oat milk and whipped cream- when I asked about the lucky charm marshmallows I was told they have been out of them for weeks. I might've ordered a different drink if I'd known that, it sort of sold me! The food was good, we ordered the dumplings, cinnamon roll, raspberry rhubarb pop tart, and tiramisu. The best thing of all was the cinnamon roll, the tang of the cream cheese icing kept everything from being too sweet. The tiramisu was beautiful presented and the cream was fantastic, the lady fingers were over soaked in strong espresso, we couldn't finish that element. The pop tart was lovely. Couldn't tell if the dumps were frozen or homemade but they tasted good, and we loved the carrot salad they came with. All in all a great experience, and will be wonderful to return to in this warm season with such a nice double decker patio!
