The first time I visited, I ordered the kickin' chile chicken wrap with extra green chile sauce and it's so good I've returned twice and ordered the same dang thing. Sometimes you want some green crunchy goodness. Here you can definitely get it. When we are in Louisville we usually spend weeks there with our family, but we are all working so we order in (quite) a bit. I prefer a salad over anything else; this is our go-to place. With clever names like "Salmon Loves You", "When in Romaine Salad", "Thai One On", and "Tequila Mockingbird" it's fun to peruse the menu. You can also build your own - which I do often. That includes 2 Greens & Grains, 1 Cheese, 4 Fruits & Veggies, 1 Dressing and 1 crunch. You can add a protein of choice for an extra fee, and honestly, with all of the options they have, you won't ever eat the same salad if you don't want to. Like, ever. I always mix it up and it is always worth it. This is my go-to for lunch when I am there, and they are super nice. Awesome place and good food. read more

They definitely skimped me on the chicken but made up for it with the vegan chocolate chip cookie. Let me be the first to say that if you tell me a baked good is vegan I will politely decline. I prefer a plant-based lifestyle and as a result, when we came across Green District Salad while searching for a place to have lunch on Bardstown Road, we had to pull in and check this place out. Overall, GDS is a good place and a welcome site with plenty of options. Needless to say, we opted for salads. Because we don't eat animals, we ordered the Fall Guy Salad without chicken, the gentleman who took our order asked if we wanted to replace the chicken with tofu, and we agreed. I had the create your own which was fine, a bowl of veggies, which is what I was looking for. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to see that they charged us $3.00 for the tofu. This is not cool, after all, we were willing to pay full price for the Fall Guy, even though we removed the most expensive ingredient from the item, they suggested the Tofu, but neglected to say they would charge us $3.00 for 3 small pieces of soy. Also, my partner is gluten-free and when she asked if the soup was gluten-free, the staff was less than interested in giving a proper answer, they just shrugged and said they didn't know. Bummer. So I had been hearing about this salad spot and had to check it out and I'm so glad I did. This was my first time in any Green District Salad location, and while this location's parking situation leaves customers wanting, it was worth it because the food quality was superb. There is limited parking on the side of the building (off of Bardstown, just North of the building). Anyone who frequents businesses on Bardstown Rd in the Highlands is familiar with parking challenges though, and many of my favorite places are in this very area. I had the Forbidden Fruit Salad with the Blueberry Vinaigrette and it was delicious! I had to split the salad into two meals because it was such a large quantity. Every single ingredient was so fresh, and for me that is key to a great salad. I downloaded the app before I placed my order and received $5 off my first order. Also with the app you can build up rewards points to receive future discounts. The staff was super great and very helpful and patient with me and all of my questions. I was very pleasantly surprised when I stopped in to Green District to grab a salad to go - this place is so cute inside! They had some great tunes playing, as well. Ordering was quick and easy. I built my own salad using their long list of fresh ingredients. Some of my favorite add-ons were the crispy onions and the avocado. I chose the chicken as my protein and it was delicious! When I was there (around 11 a.m. on a weekday) it looked like they were prepping a huge delivery or catering order. So, if you're in the market for a lunch for a large group, definitely consider Green District! It looks like they have the process down to the T. I am sad that they forgot to include my creamy buffalo dressing on the side, but these things happen and I should've double-checked the bag before I left. I went to this restaurant for the first time in my life. I had a free lunch coupon so I thought I would give it a try especially since it's across the street from my son's house. The manager is from Jamaica and he was very nice. He told me I could have unlimited toppings. The toppings are delicious as well as their dressings. The only reason I gave 4 instead 5 stars is the wait time. I ordered through the app and had to wait almost 30 minutes for my order. It seemed the people that ordered inside the restaurant got their order faster. The salad itself is the perfect size. It looked huge when it came out but I had no problem finishing the whole thing. Just the right amount of dressing although I would have appreciated it was tossed for me instead of on the side. The dressing had a very unique flavor with a little kick. Tahini vinaigrette but much thicker than expected! I liked it for its uniqueness. The Greek salad ingredients were fresh and flavorful but I was overwhelmed my the amount of olives they put in. Ridiculous customer service. Ordered online 2 cheddar jalapeno wraps. Upon my arrival, the worker said she already made them and they don't have cheddar jalapeno.
