    Forbidden Fruit salad with modifications
    Gypsy G.

Came in and some lady was really giving the young lady a hard time about the price of the salad she ordered and made all these modifications to. As a regular of all the locations- you know "guac is extra". Meaning we know things cost extra. She handled it so very well maintained her composure and was gentle patient and kid and just compassionate with her. I'm not saying she was rude but she beating a dead horse- the price is what you created. Lmao Both ladies were extensively nice and made our orders correctly and fast! I always appreciate happy interactions and excellent communication. So glad we stopped in today!! This location is very cute the decor is beautiful and fun in the established signature green. The lighting is better in the sense the sun comes in and really shows off the space! The salad as always in all ways - is amazing. Thanks you so much crew! Chefs kiss hit em five times!!

Green district salads is a speciality salad eatery that has a few locations popping up across the city of Lousiville. This particular location is in Middletown community of Lousiville. For being mainly salads they have a surprisingly large menu with plenty of options. Now I'll be the first to admit. I'm not a salad guy but my wife and daughters are huge fans so we frequent here. My wife go to salad here is the Thai One On salad and she appears to enjoy it quite a bit. Very large and filling so it leaves her satisfied. Overall a cool and unwise spot that has had good service and features spacious interior. I'm not one to get excited for salad places. But if your like my wife and oldest then this is the place for you!

    Fall menu

This new spot for salad is clean and easy to get a quick lunch. I tried out the newest fall menu, The Fall Guy salad with a can of Harvest cider. The fall guy was $11.49, and I felt that was a fair price as I was able to split it into two meals so it's like getting two salad for $6 each. The price of the local cider was $4. Not terrible but that's $16 out the door. Great location to grab a salad after shopping around at Walmart or Target.

This was my 1st time and it was very clean and the workers were welcoming. They have over 10 combinations to choose from with preset ingredients or you can build your own salad like a Qdoba bowl. I had the GD special but I took off the avocado, just not a fan. See menu for detailed ingredients, it was good and flavorful and lots of chicken, I had a peice in every bite and it was soo good. I had the avocado lime ranch and I got an extra cup the salad is so big I ended up needing Greek Vinaigrette from the fridge also rookie mistake for not shaking my salad. Still didn't finish the whole thing. I can't wait to go back and build my own and try one of the lemonades! My total came out to $12 and that was perfect considering they didn't charge for extra toppings or dressing.

    What About Cobb salad

I thank Middletown everyday for giving me so many healthy lunch options near me, but now I can give an extra thanks for having a salad restaurant! I love the build-your-own style places, but unfortunately none are close enough to visit conveniently. Like I expected, it's very similar to Vinaigrette Kitchen, and set up in a Subway-esque assembly line. I love all of the different options they have, including the option to make it into a wrap as well. I did find the food here pretty expensive for fast food - almost $40 for two salads and waters... But I guess that's the price to pay to get a healthier option. I tried the What About Cobb salad and really enjoyed it! It was also very huge, and filled me up quickly. They have other classic salad styles, as well as some different options. Green District Salads is awesome! I'll definitely be finding myself here from time to time.

Second visit, same experience. I tried another salad today, the forbidden fruit, adding edamame and asking for balsamic vinaigrette on the side. It was as suggested to get kale and spinach as the bases, but I switched the spinach for romaine. While this salad promotes several toppings, including chicken and bacon, it's mainly lettuce. The stinginess of the toppings doesn't offer the value for the price paid. I'm taking GDS off my go-to list. When you only finish the salad because you don't want to "lose your money" it's time to return to my salad staples.

Spinach Armada wrap with grilled chicken

I saw Green District on Yelp and the Kentucky travel blog as well and had to give it a try. I do love salads but opted for the wrap and this place did not disappoint! Super fresh ingredients and priced much more reasonable than the fast food guys portions by far. The staff was friendly, lively and welcoming. Will definitely be a repeat lunch stop for me!!

When I initially heard of this Green District, I wondered how well a Salad Concept would do. I can now say Green District (GD) has a district and valuable offering that sets them apart as a company. My favorites thus far are the Firebird and Thai One On. The salads are very substantial and delicious to the final bite! I also love how the Middletown location is run. It is clean, and the manager was a great ambassador for the brand. You could really tell he loves what he does. I definitely recommend this place, as they have something for everyone. If you prefer, any salad can be a wrap. Also, make sure to check out the seasonal specials- they're fantastic as well!

The Fall Guy Salad/grain bowl is amazing! Loved the combo of all the ingredients especially the butternut squash and the sweet onion maple vinaigrette dressing.

This was my 2nd visit to Green District in 2 weeks. I went to this restaurant around 12:20 this time and they were busy but all hands were on deck... a full crew working hard behind the line. My first time was a tad later, around 12:45 and they weren't as busy that day. Each employee that I came in contact with was professional and friendly. The first trip, I had the Thai One On salad which included shrimp. I made no adjustments to my salad and thought it was quite yummy. I went with the Fall Guy grain bowl this 2nd time... almost like Thanksgiving in a bowl with turkey, squash, cranberries, onion crisps, apples, etc. The bowl was sooo delicious! Looked like a salad but not exactly. Not a warm entree but not cold like a salad either. Just perfect, actually! I look forward to ordering it again!

Never heard of a salad that takes 30 minutes to make. Waited 25 minutes even after calling the order in. And salads were mid. Cray.

We definitely found the right place. The patio area with the Koi pond and waterfall was perfect. My wife and I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Selena's Crab Caps. Their menu looks amazing as did the specials of the day. We didn't have time to eat a full meal, but did enjoy our time outside. Our server was great and one of the owners did come by to check on us also. I would definitely come back to try more of their food.

I'm not sure if the $2 version was a smaller size or only offered at certain times, but honestly... the drinks were still worth it. The flavor was amazing, and unlike a lot of brunch drinks that taste watered down, these were actually strong. Two glasses definitely had me feeling tipsy, so I can't complain too much there. The main reason I took off a star was the parking situation and accessibility concerns. The handicap parking is positioned perpendicular to the main road, which honestly feels unsafe when backing out. If someone already has mobility or visibility limitations, backing directly into a busy road can be stressful and dangerous. The rest of the parking area is also gravel, which can be difficult to navigate with mobility aids, wheelchairs, walkers, or even just for someone unsteady on their feet. It's one of those situations where it's great that handicap parking exists close to the entrance, but the actual setup still creates challenges. Outside of that, the drinks themselves were genuinely really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I'd probably still come back for another brunch date.

I also heard it was a bar and restaurant. What brought me here, Burger week of course. I go here after getting off work one evening. Entering the parking lot it was packed but I found a space close to the entrance. I go in and I asked if I could sit at the bar because it was just me and was told that I could. I sit at the bar and I do get service in a good amount of time. I got the Pizza Burger which was their specialty and the Mozzarella Moons (another term for mozzarella sticks) except they are moon shaped. Very good. Then came the pizza burger. Pepperoni, cheese and marinara on a burger patty. Loved the crisp pepperoni and the cheese and marinara sauce. Can't say I ever had a burger like that and even told the bartender that was my favorite burger for burger week. Service, food and atmosphere was good for the most part. Apparently they have their staff try to push dessert sales for an S/O (Shoutout). Nothing wrong with trying to sell desserts but, idk how that sits with other employees like it's a competition or something. I didn't order the dessert and their choices looked good. I was full and thought maybe next time. I definitely want to come back and try their other foods at some point but, I don't come to this end very much. They had a band playing as I left and the crowd seemed to love it. I would love to bring friends here.

However, I have already returned once after my initial visit and am sure that my husband and I will be frequent flyers. The ambiance is sports bar with (unless I miscounted) 33 large TVs, the bar, garage doors that open to the outside patio where 4-legged friends are welcome, friendly and efficient service, and best of all, they support the Kentucky Humane Society. Oh, and that tagline though- "Sit. Stay. Eat." Despite the sports bar ambiance, it is definitely child/family friendly. On both my visits (lunch time) there were many families enjoying their lunch. The menu is expansive with the burgers and hot dogs being the main call, but also includes, wings, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. I opted for the 'breakfast burger' which included the burger, cheese, onions, bacon, and a fried egg. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This stray dog will definitely return, and I may get a microchip that reads "return to Double Dogs if found."
