A polite man drove up on schedule today in a pickup truck with a large trailer to give a fair estimate for remodeling my front yard.

One very kind worker even walked around with my wife looking for a particular plant before realizing they didn't have it. Additionally, they have a wide selection of pots and gardening tools. If I lived closer, I would be here quite often. Great establishment.

They also have a better pottery/pot selection than many local nurseries. Their Giant Calla Lilies are actually fairly priced considering how long it takes for those to size up and flower well. That said, prices in general are quite high, which would be easier to justify if the plant quality and expertise consistently matched the premium pricing. Plant health is usually pretty good overall, but I have still come across plants that were not especially healthy despite commanding top-tier prices, which is disappointing at those price points. The staff knowledge also feels fairly average overall. I once had an employee confidently tell me that Red Maples do not grow well near intermittent creeks, which was surprising considering Red Maples are commonly found in wet areas throughout much of the Southeast and are even nicknamed "swamp maple." Their Japanese Maples are also definitely overpriced considering you can get similarly sized specimens locally for much less, including at places like Get Rooted, which also has an excellent selection. Overall, the nursery is still worth visiting because the selection really is broad and varied. I just wish the pricing better reflected the average level of expertise and occasional inconsistencies in plant quality.

We have had the pleasure of working with Evan Blewett at not one but two homes. When we bought our…read morehouse in Cary in 1997, Evan turned our front yard into a showplace. It was beautiful with something blooming nearly year round. Best of all, it was easy to maintain, reflecting the fact that we had little knowledge of plants and little time to care for them. At our new home, Evan took the confusing collection left behind by the four homeowners before us and turned it into something better that we'd asked for. The back yard, which had a row of high bushes in the middle of it, looked twice as big when Evan was through. The front yard was confused and confusing. When Evan was done, it was simple but elegant. Evan listened to what we said we wanted and made great suggestions along the way, meeting with us several times before he began his work. He helped us get the irrigation system in shape and planted so that everything was easily watered. Last but not least, Evan stayed within our budget limitations. We really enjoyed working with him and recommend him without reservation.

We sought out a professional to propose a landscape plan that incorporated water remediation, plant aesthetics and an appropriate hardscape design. After meeting with several companies, we chose to work with Evan Blewett of LandArts. Evan sold us on his vision of a solution to our water issues, while at the same time upgrading the visual appeal of our property through pruning, plant and shrub removal and installation of a variety of new plantings. Evan and his crew delivered everything as promised and on time. We found him to be honest, professional, collaborative, extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. We would not hesitate to recommend LandArts and Evan Blewett to anyone looking for such a service.

Desperate to get…read moreit ship-shape before my father visits this weekend, I reached out to a bunch of different lawn maintenance companies earlier this week to request a service. I got response after response of "We're booked, sorry" and was losing hope - until The Grounds Guys of Garner replied. Although they said they were also booked up, they referred me to a different company that DID have availability. My lawn is now beautiful, thanks to both GGG and the company they recommended. :) THIS IS WHAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LOOKS LIKE! Three cheers (and 5 stars) for Grounds Guys of Garner!

They eventually took care of those issues without additional cost, but only after attempting to charge me extra which I declined. (Materials didn't work for the wall and they had to dig more than expected due to grade). That's not the customers fault! They finished around the patio with soil beds per my request, but did not dig the grass out before hand. I assume a professional landscaper would know better, so they either aren't very knowledgeable or they did it intentionally. Months later I am battling Bermuda grass daily, and I am going to have to dig it all out myself and redo the topsoil and mulch beds. I tried reaching out because it wasn't done correctly, but I was given a bs excuse and they would not admit their fault. *Edit to the owners reply* - There is not 6 inches of screens below the dirt, only the areas closest to the patio. You can come look for yourself if you don't believe me. While you are here, look at my other beds that I've had for two years and tell me how much Bermuda grass is growing in there. If you are correct I will delete my review and move on. Also, I have been maintaining it more than weekly to try to stay on top of it. I know how to maintain a yard. I left for vacation for two weeks and this is what I returned to, which is why the review was left just now. You are correct that I should have contacted you sooner, but I also expected with the shoddy work, and the 1 year warranty, Grounds Guys would uphold their end.
