I have only had my first cleaning so far, a deep cleaning to get rid of all the buildup I've let accumulate over the last year in my new apartment. The cleaning was extremely thorough; I was quite impressed as I walked around all day afterwards noticing small things that had been done. I am excited to be on a maintenance schedule with them so my place doesn't get to the point of having that much buildup again (my ADHD is relieved!). The only downside so far is scheduling is a bit weird - instead of just giving a date/time or setting up a regular schedule (like same date/time each month), they keep saying they'll get back to me with a date and I have to wait to get it scheduled. This is bad for my ADHD, I need things just locked in and as regular as possible so they become routine. We'll see if this becomes a bigger problem as I go but I'm happy with the level of clean I got for what I consider a good price and a good rapport with the company so I'm trying to roll with it. Forest is super nice and responsive and really put Green Earth House Cleaning above others I reached out to by requesting a phone consultation where we talked through my goals and details about my apartment, etc. Everyone else just sent an impersonal message with an estimate. The initial cleaning was great. They had a physical checklist the staff filled out. They listened to my requests for rooms to clean and not to clean. Love that they use their own clothes,vacuums etc ; so I dont have to be concerned with putting out my supplies or cleaning the cleaning supplies. Unlike previous companies we hired the house did not smell like caustic chemicals after they departed. Forest was easy to work with and talked through all the details prior to staff entering my home. Summary: (Moveout clean) Cleaners went far over estimated time, did a bad job and did not clean to original quote. Antranik, the owner, is an angry man with no customer service skills that will bully you into payment. I was quoted $280 for my 600 sq ft apartment move-out clean. The clean ended up being $434 (basically 7 hours of cleaning!) because "the buildup was worse than they thought". They had no extension cord (so they didn't clean any of the stairs or entry way), did not clean a single window/window sill, and missed spots throughout the floor. I talked to the owner Antranik and told him that I do not agree with paying $434 for a clean that missed critical parts of the quote. He got mad and raised his voice and talked down to me, told me that I "don't know anything about cleaning", and that "it's time to grow up" before hanging up on me. He then sent an email that further his harassment, telling me that they will continue to send an invoice incurring a 5% compounding fee over and over (which is false, it should just be one 5% per their terms of service) and then how he will turn it to collections for them to harass me, my work, friends, and family. I would not recommend this company. Save yourself a headache and hire a real cleaning company, hopefully they'll have an extension chord. read more

Prior to my last interaction with the owner of this company, I would have given their cleaning services 2.5 stars. The cleaning really varied, but was rarely to our satisfaction. They seemed to have a lot of difficulty getting the kitchen clean and we would often find a film on the counters, the sink left with dirt and product residue. The floors usually had bits of dirt and dust in the corners and under the furniture. We would actually have to move pieces (like ottomans, baskets, plant stands, etc) if we wanted them cleaned underneath or around. We often voiced our complaint to the owner and sometimes just reminded the person doing the cleaning. The woman we have cleaning for us now even pointed out many ways she felt the cleaning was inadequate (unsolicited mind you, she just takes her job very seriously and is proud of the work she does. She also does a fabulous job cleaning! Contact me if you'd like a referral for her services. She's been in business over 25 years). I'm copying and pasting an email exchange with the owner, Antranik. You should know what type of ego you will be dealing with if you hire them. I'm surprised they have any customers as they clearly are more concerned with being right than providing any type of decent, concerned customer service. Also, I find it interesting that in another poor review on Yelp, Antranik also puts the entire onus on the customer...in the email below he states it is "out of his hands." In the review he states... "We are always open to feedback but this review feels more like a disgruntled person who is unwilling to take practical steps to solve a problem." Every so often when a client wants to discontinue service, we feel it's best to part with some friendly and constructive sentiments. But perhaps I should have addressed the issues more specifically. The morning of your last service our cleaners arrived at 9am to start service but found that they were not able to enter. This happens from time to time, everybody forgets occasionally. When I received a call back from you it was 9:21am, the records are on my phone, and the message you left said you would be home in 5 minutes. Unfortunately that equals just short of an hour, 30 minutes per cleaner, of reduced time for your regular cleaning of 3 hrs. I spoke to our staff and instructed them to get as much done as they could in the 2 hours left. As much as I would have liked them to stay for the full 3 hours, I could not postpone our clients who were to receive service later in the day. When you called later in the morning to express your displeasure regarding the cleaning, you mentioned a number of things that were not done. While I certainly understand wanting a clean house after 2 weeks, ( as a cleaning business, we understand this better than most) I was surprised there was such a disconnect from your perspective about what was not done and the reduced time the our staff had to clean. You mentioned that they should have skipped things that you would not notice but in 1 hour our staff get a lot done so that would be hard to do. Finally you expressed that it sounded like I was saying it was your fault. Of course the door not being left open was the source of the issue but finding a solution to the problem is always our goal, rather than laying blame. So I offered to have a staff member come in and finish what was not done on Tuesday, free of charge, because we value our clients and genuinely want to take the cleaning headache off their plates. But then I received an email from you discontinuing services. So somewhere along the line the relationship did not work for you anymore. I'm not clear as to what it was. But my point in the previous email was to illustrate that I believe we did try to operate as a responsive, responsible cleaning service that values it's customers. And again while you are right that it's the client's perception that matters, sometimes it's out of our hands. I tried using This service for four months. It just never worked out. There was a different person or persons each month and so cleaning was never consistent or up to par. Two months in a row the bathroom floor wasn't even mopped. The final straw was when they left the door to my office unlocked. I tried to work through the issues month after month but for the cost of the service I shouldn't have to run around telling them to wash floors and clean mirrors. read more

They cleaned my house every other Monday since 2011. When you work with a service that long, you expect some glitches, no shows, or even some rough cleanings. This never happened with Green Earth. They were always reliable and responsive to include when I needed to cancel or re-schedule. Theft or dishonesty was absolutely not an issue and I had multiple different cleaners over the years. As advertised, they are interested in green products which was a great bonus for a great local business.
