Produce is very fresh - produce usually will spoil within a day or two. Sometimes it already is while still on the shelf. This can be a good and bad thing, depending on your perspective on food waste, unprocessed food, health etc. In the last few years, they added a meat/butcher section and changed their stock configuration, which is nice to see additional grocery, a fresh change in the environment, better lighting. The cashiers seem to frequently up-charge produce when listed prices by the product are lower. Ex: Vegetable is priced at 79c and cashier charged more. I wanted to support a local business but I will not be shopping here again. It's unfortunate that this is one of the only grocery stores in town. Secaucus really needs to stop bringing chain restaurants into town and invest into a quality grocery store. I have shopped here a few times and the prices are out of control, I purchased cherries that were over $15. The cereal was $8 a box and the majority of the milk was $7-9. Times are tough for everyone right now, but this price gauging is absurd. read more

They have a little of everything, fresh veggies and fruits, cheeses and dairy in the back, spices and canned goods. Fresh flowers and a deli counter, plus a fish counter. They do not have a butcher in house but they do have a couple of cuts of meats in a refrigerator. Plus to go a sushi counter, where they make it fresh for you while you shop. Their fruits and veggies have always been spot on when I shop there. The canned goods are a bit more pricey than in a supermarket but great for when you are in a pinch and need something quick. They have spices and herbs for every cuisine and tastebuds, plus an array of cookies and snacks from different countries. This farmer's market has not disappointed me whenever I am in search for ordinary groceries or looking for new recipe ideas. read more

This place has grown on me as they have grown. Their produce is excellent. The variety has grown steadily, so you can get some REALLY interesting fruit & vegetables. And NOW you can get excellent meat & seafood (remember to pay at the meat counter), sushi, excellent deli and quite possibly the best flowers in Secaucus. They charged me $40 for bananas that cost four dollars, and they conspired to steal my phone in July 2021, I had left it next to me to pick fruits when one of the rude employees was behind me, and they both disappeared. After 30 minutes of searching the store and asking for help and getting ridiculed for being "irresponsible" by an employee, I went to the store owner who was in the security room who told me to consider it a loss. Since Secaucus doesn't have a grocery store, we rely largely on this store. Fruits and veggies are always very fresh. Other necessities like milk, bread, eggs, various meats, etc. are also available. I can get my whole grocery list, so that should give some perspective on their stock. I've acquired some very excellent meats here, as well. Parking lot that they share with the CVS and other businesses is quite busy and difficult. However, this isn't their fault. Still, it's a factor. You begin to learn the times where parking will be easiest. Recommended. Place has worked great for me during COVID vs battling the local Wal Mart for groceries. read more

Hello! I am a new Secaucus resident, and was happy to hear this place existed since the grocery store options in town are limited. However, the front registers take so long to cash out. The selection is so limited I can barely ever find the one thing I'm looking for--which should be easy. The people that work there are not helpful and often times rude. I also frequently am greeted with unpleasant smells that turn me off, and shouldn't be coming from a place you buy food. Overall I am not impressed and find myself going to other places for my weekly food shopping! read more

Avoid at all costs. The credit card processing machines take forever which lead to long wait times and the food selection is horrible. Multiple employees conspired to steal my uncles phone. The GPS on find my iPhone led us to the back of this place and when I tried to enter to see if I can hear the ping I was told I cannot be back there. After checking all areas within the GPS circle and checking with all surrounding businesses, I came back to the farmers market to check the back area. SURPRISE the phone was there. Love this place for all my healthy fresh fruits and veggies at amazing prices. For the bigger shopping of packaged and frozen goods I do need to go to Walmart though. Great cheese selection plus they have fresh mozzarella. I just wish they had fresh meat like chicken and grass fed beef rather than just deli meats. I come here every week to load up on fruits and vegetables. For the most part, the produce is very fresh w/ exception to the basil. That is one herb I buy that never lasts more than 1-2 days! My only other gripe would be that there is nothing labeled as organic. Otherwise, prices are beyond reasonable. There is also a meat/fish section, I usually just buy fresh fish there--no complaints yet, always fresh and tasty! There is also a deli section w/ Thumanns and Boarshead. Pricing for the deli is pretty competitive with other places. I do not partake in the grocery part of it, nothing is overly appealing and can be bought at a cheaper price at a neighboring supermarket. I also purchase fresh flowers weekly; although there isn't a large selection to choose from, there is always a bouquet I get between the $8-$10 price range to brighten up my living room. What I wouldn't do for some organic meat from this fabulous store. They have a good albeit limited deli counter but why stop there.? This is the only store in town. Prices are on par with Amazon Fresh, parking isn't so easy but the veggie selection is fantastic! I guess that is ultimately why you go there. We are pleased with the store and its friendly staff especially the deli counter guys. Please consider expanding to seafood, poultry and beef products. read more

I paid 14.00 plus tax for 2 half gallons of organic milk. That's a disgrace and its price gauging when everyone is at their lowest.

There is no real supermarket in town so it's nice to come here so I don't have to fight my way through the Walmart. They have reasonably priced produce and they recently added a meat and fish counter as well. I've walked past it a few times and they have a decent selection at good prices. The only downside is the parking is never easy in this shopping plaza. read more

As mentioned by another reviewer, the woman cashier who I had, started to throw my items in the bag like she had an attitude problem. All I had were 3 items. I guess that's what happens when you get paid minimum wage. Next time you visit this place be prepared to observe how these women act towards you. Lately the quality of the produce is terrible. I tired to pick up mangoes yesterday, but they were all soft and had black spots. The mushrooms I bought at noon are a mass of fuzz this morning, and the cauliflower is now showing black spots. For the process he charges I expect better products. Given that Secaucus doesn't have a real supermarket, it's definitely nice to have this farmer's market in town for us to get fresh veggies and fruits. Definitely a good selection if you're looking ingredients to cook fresh, but nothing organic which is okay by me. Pricing isn't bad at all, but for canned goods and other dry products i wouldn't go here.. too pricey. I LOVE their bread - they get it delivered fresh everyday so i stock up! They have a great deli section and the sushi is not bad either! Overall, great place and I definitely don't take it for granted since our only source in town is Walmart, bleh. read more

I was pleasantly surprised the first time I went here - from the outside I was not expecting much but, quite frankly, there is no grocery store nearby... Anyway, the produce selection is very good and so is the quality. They do not offer much in the way or organic but everything else that they have is of a good quality. The non-organic does not bother me but if you are looking for organic then you should probably look elsewhere. I think that the prices are very competitive - and lower than most places in Hoboken. They do have some other grocery items and, again, they are from high quality brands and the selection is more vast that you would first think. If they added a butcher (prime meats and chicken, etc), this would be a perfect place to do most of your shopping. The parking lot is usually crowded. read more

I lived in secaucus for 3 years and this was my to go place for produce. It's always fresh and they have everything! That too at reasonable price. I moved 30 miles north of secuacus now and I still make a trip to this market twice every month! It's worth the drive and gas. read more
