Since we've rented boats here before, we appreciated that the safety briefing was shortened and focused on the essentials rather than making us sit through the entire presentation again. That said, it would have been helpful to clearly remind returning customers about the exact navigation boundaries and where boating is not permitted. Our 25ft pontoon boat was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a relaxing day around Destin Harbor and Crab Island. However, part of the bimini top was torn and flapped loudly in the wind throughout the day. The Bluetooth radio also didn't work. We've experienced that on previous rentals as well, so perhaps it is intentionally disabled, but if that's the case it would be good to communicate that upfront. The biggest disappointment was the pricing transparency. The advertised rental price looks attractive, but then a 4% "Village Fee" and an additional 2.5% "Operational Cost Fee" are added before sales tax. An operational cost fee feels particularly difficult to justify, as operational costs should already be included in the advertised price. By the time all fees and taxes are added, a rental advertised at $345 ends up costing about $427. That leaves customers feeling misled and takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a great day on the water and the staff was professional and pleasant. Improving the condition of some equipment and being more transparent about the true rental cost would make the experience even better.

Then I met my instructor Iina. She has experience and dives around the globe literally hundreds of dives. This is the kind of person I want teaching me to dive. Once we had completed enough of the class to take in our first to open water dives we headed to Dustin harbor and boarded the Mongoose. Where I met Captain and deckhand again great very nice people very knowledgeable and willing to teach. I got my open water dive license. It's my favorite dune lake to paddle…read more The water is usually glassy smooth. I paddle the remote channel among the reeds that leads to the bigger part of the lake. It's picturesque. It's peaceful. I paddle the channel that leads to the Gulf with amazing reflections on the water. I paddle the cove around the private docks. I see crab pots and an occasional gator observing me - an intruder. The first time I paddled here I pulled my board up on the sand and walked over to the Gulf, but when I came back, my board was gone. The water rose very quickly and my board was pulled out into the channel. So I swam out and got it and learned a lesson about how quickly the water level can change. It's all of this, the diversity of looks and the complexity of it, that make it my favorite place to paddle.

My family and I spent a couple hours at the beach. It is a great place to paddleboard or swim. There is a man-made reef about one or two football fields out. You can get to it by going to the yellow poles on the beach and swimming directly out. If the poles appear to be one you are going the right way, if you can see both poles then you are off course. There was a group of kayakers out there doing a tour when I was there so I swam out and joined them. It was fun but I don't recommend anyone who didn't competitively swim to do that. The waves can be big and a paddleboard or kayak would have been safer. Once you get out to the reef there is so much wildlife. Lots of fish and even sea turtles!!

It was my kids first time parasailing, and they walked us through everything so they had a blast! The views from up there were absolutely breathtaking, crystal-clear water, white sandy beaches, and even a few dolphins and jellyfish swimming below us. It feels surreal. The takeoff and landing were super smooth, and the whole experience felt safe and well-organized, only 6 people go out at a time so we aren't packed into a boat. The boat ride itself was also a blast, good music, great vibes, and lots of laughs. The crew had a great sense of humor and made the whole trip so great. This was our introduction to the water sport of Jet Surfing. We had a blast after some great instruction from Tyler. We also used the tubes/float assist to help us stand up to make things extra enjoyable. We just returned home from a fantastic four hour excursion on five Hydrobikes! Tammy is such a…read moreknowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating person to work with, and we loved chatting with her before and after our ride. She gave us several great suggestions of places to get put in to the water, and we settled on getting in at the Point Washington boat ramp. This was a perfect space to spend our morning, and I'd highly recommend getting an early start to avoid the hottest part of the day. The bikes were great, and the adjustable seats and shoe straps on the pedals were easy to manage! Getting in and out of the bikes the first time takes some getting used to, but is easy to do once you feel comfortable! We explored the area and pedaled in and out of several bayous and creeks. While it in the open water of the bay, we watched an osprey hunt for fish, which was a huge highlight of the trip! We ended our trip with a visit to Eden Gardens State Park, which is a must see! The park is right by where we were dropped off and has lovely public restrooms and water fountains. Bring lots of sunscreen and water!
