Captain Jambo was nice along with the crew mates. Did not keep us waiting long and we were up in the air within 10 minutes of setting off. Definitely recommend was not windy at all and we got to see dolphins from the air. We also were able to have the boat to ourselves because of our booking time and time in the season. This review is for parasailing at the June White Decker park location. I am giving this 2 stars because we didn't die and we did enjoy ourselves once we were out of earshot of the rude crew. The captain of the boat was so rude. Actually...he wasn't just rude..he was downright mean. The crew was in a hurry because they were trying to beat some weather in the area (which I get) but they completely rushed the entire process. There was absolutely NO explanation of what to do...at all. Getting into the harness, the captain actually yelled at me and said "you're messing me up!". Once we were in the harness, they yelled at me and my two sons to "GO"....apparently we weren't moving to the back of the boat fast enough for them in the choppy waters. Once we were in position on the back of the boat, they just clipped us in and took off. Again...no explanation whatsoever. Not like it's hard or anything....but I feel like they should have at least had some sort of spiel before we went 500 ft in the air. The parasailing part was good. Our flight was definitely not 10 minutes though. My husband went up with the boys next and they said that flight was longer. While my husband and two sons were parasailing, both crew members on board were on the phone. They weren't paying attention to them whatsoever. One of the crew members was actually filing a homeowners insurance claim or something. When the next group was coming aboard the captain yelled at them too. There were some teenage girls who seemed a little apprehensive to transfer from the smaller boat to the boat used for parasailing and the captain was pretty mean to them. I would not recommend Captain Jambo's for parasailing in Destin. read more

Went sailing with Captain Jambos. The so-called captain is mentally unstable and has anger management issues. He was yelling obscenities at other skippers right in front of guests. Awesome experience with Jason and Logan and Captain Jambo's Parasailing. They were courteous, reasonably priced, on time and as an added plus were interesting people to talk to. According to them it was "PPW--perfect parasailing weather" and it was. We went out into the gulf and at 400 ft we saw tons of sharks, dolphins and rays with 5-6ft wingspans. Not sure how this guy got the reviews he did. He charged a lot--$150 for 10 mins for 2 people. He had a terrible attitude not only towards us, the ones paying his bills, but treated his right hand man in a very demeaning manner. It was disturbing to me that a local business owner could get away with treating people so poorly. A customer called him on the phone while he was taking my group out and he was even rude to her! And went on to comment how stupid she was after he hung up. The two stars are for keeping us safe. But he couldn't have made something that was supposed to be fun any more tense. Booo! read more

Even though our parasailing eventually got cancelled due to the weather, my family still had a fantastic experience with Captain Jambos. We had a large group of 10 people who wanted to parasail, and Taylor helped us book our trips back to back, accommodating our schedules, while also being very helpful in answering our questions. We had multiple boats to plan, so this was not an easy task. We were very impressed by her knowledge and friendliness. Sadly, our trip was cancelled due to a wind advisory, and we got a refund, but we were looking forward to parasailing with Captain Jambos. Taylor's kindness and helpfulness continues to stand out, even though the weather cancelled our trip. read more

We booked a 9am reservation and just finished our experience with Jambo's. This family business did a phenomenal job making the two of us feel safe and welcome, and they ensured we understood what to do every step of the way. When my wife discovered she forgot her camera memory card, they gave us one! They paid attention to us the whole time, and when my wife started feeling sick, we gave the signal to be pulled back down, and they were incredibly responsive. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this company to anyone in or out of town looking for a personal and enjoyable parasailing experience. read more

We went sailing with captain Billy and had a blast. He is a very laid back but attentive guy. He talked to us the entire time as if we were friends and we really enjoyed the entire experience. We got to see some dolphins in the Gulf and went to crab island for the sunset. Will 100% be going back to do this again no questions asked. read more

We've been parasailing three different times and this was the most fun - by far!!! Jason and Andrew was knowledgeable, made us feel safe and were SO much fun!! The fact that we had only the 6 of us out on the boat made a HUGE difference. Look man if I could give Captain Jambos 100 stars no bs I would because this man gave my family one of the best times that they've ever had I got to enjoy some of the most beautiful views he took his time he didn't rush things he showed us things he let my kids and you know work the rotors and steer the boat he had a really nice Catamaran They had drinks for us and for the kids just all-around it was a great time they took really good care of us. We got to see Dolphins and other sea creatures and he took my family out to a little secluded place where we got to swim and play in the water. He provided snorkeling equipment for me and my family to go snorkeling in our own little private beach area.
