The views from up there were absolutely breathtaking, crystal-clear water, white sandy beaches, and even a few dolphins and jellyfish swimming below us. It feels surreal. The takeoff and landing were super smooth, and the whole experience felt safe and well-organized, only 6 people go out at a time so we aren't packed into a boat. The boat ride itself was also a blast, good music, great vibes, and lots of laughs. The crew had a great sense of humor and made the whole trip so great. If you're visiting Destin and looking for something exciting and memorable, don't miss out on Sundog Parasailing these guys are the best! Prices were competitive based on shopping around. The boat was clean and well maintained My only gripe is for first timers they should have a bit more instruction. Two things. How far you can go, it wasn't clear but we didn't go too far so it was OK. Second, taking the boat out of "parking" is not easy. After watching us struggling with it, the staff member there helped us out by jumping on board and pulling out. He then told us to call him when we got back so we wouldn't have to park. We did and he hopped on the boat, docked it for us. That's the only gripe. Other than that a great experience.

The sea was ruff due to wind so we stayed in the bay and didn't go into the ocean but there was still wonderful views! The crew were funny and very experienced. While others were in the sky we got a nice boat ride around the bay, be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen as there is no shade. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought (I'm afraid of heights) but it was so smooth and I felt secure. At the end they dipped everyone and thanks to our friends they practically dunked us, I was wet up to my chest. I got a little scared during that because the water pulls your legs back but the boat is pulling you forward but they got us back in the air. Next time I wouldn't want to be dunked like that but it was fun.

Caden came around frequently asking everyone if we needed anything to drink and David let my kids go up and honk the horn! My kids had a blast. I would definitely recommend going here. We loved that it was a smaller boat as well where it wasn't so crowded like the other businesses bigger boats. We also got to watch the sunset which was very beautiful.

My only issue was that the lady who checked us in basically fat shamed. She kept asking for weight, and implying that if i didn't get on the banana boat i wouldn't be able to get to the other boat. I'm a thick girl but I'm not fat. I'm a very active girl so i was very confused. I wasn't the only one who felt this way. There was another family who went with us and the mom was a bigger lady. The lady who checked us in kept asking loudly in a rude way what her weight was. I'm pretty sure no woman wants to tell her weight in front of people. I just felt it was a better way to ask these questions since we had already answered them on the wavier we had to sign. Going forward i think it's best to make sure you review the waiver that everyone signs. If we would have listened to the check in lady we wouldn't have went because she made it as if we were too fat to go.

Since we've rented boats here before, we appreciated that the safety briefing was shortened and focused on the essentials rather than making us sit through the entire presentation again. That said, it would have been helpful to clearly remind returning customers about the exact navigation boundaries and where boating is not permitted. Our 25ft pontoon boat was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a relaxing day around Destin Harbor and Crab Island. However, part of the bimini top was torn and flapped loudly in the wind throughout the day. The Bluetooth radio also didn't work. We've experienced that on previous rentals as well, so perhaps it is intentionally disabled, but if that's the case it would be good to communicate that upfront. The biggest disappointment was the pricing transparency. The advertised rental price looks attractive, but then a 4% "Village Fee" and an additional 2.5% "Operational Cost Fee" are added before sales tax. An operational cost fee feels particularly difficult to justify, as operational costs should already be included in the advertised price. By the time all fees and taxes are added, a rental advertised at $345 ends up costing about $427. That leaves customers feeling misled and takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a great day on the water and the staff was professional and pleasant. Improving the condition of some equipment and being more transparent about the true rental cost would make the experience even better.

Tristan took some sweet pics with his camera you can buy at the end sent directly to your phone. David navigated the boat like a champ--low key riding the boat waiting for your turn in the air was pretty fun. Lastly, David and Tristan somehow summoned the dolphins and we ended the parasailing trip with an additional tour around a pod of dolphins with a baby dolphin. Thanks for the memorable first time para sailing !
