Tasty! We thought the food here tasted more "real" than other Chinese places. The fried rice had that smokey "actually cooked in a wok" taste. And they made the orange chicken extra spicy for us. It was yummy. It's not a pretty place but we'll come again for take out. read more

Just moved within the vicinity. By far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. If I could post pictures I would. Soup broth is literally like water, spare ribs are grey and DO NOT taste like spare ribs....... No soy sauce in the bag, no duck sauce. I've never experienced worst Chinese food. Called last minute for a soup 5 minutes from closing pulled into the parking lot and it was closed but the owner pulled up next to me ready to go home and opened the shop for me and gave me my soup. They didn't have to do that. Very kind establishment. read more

The food here at green garden is by far, the best Chinese food in Newburgh, without a doubt. I've been eating here for 16 years with my family, and we absolutely love it. Usually at other restaurants I get tired of the food, but I get food from green garden very often, and I've never not once got tired of it. The employees work very fast, efficiently n are very polite. So I personally would recommend that you go here for Chinese food, the food is great, employees are good, and just the restaurant overall is amazing. This takeout is associated with Great Wall on north plank Rd. I am sorry to say, but this is a very pricy Chinese Takeout with the utmost disgusting food I ever had. Takeout from NYC is not even this expensive and is so much healthier and taste sooo much better than here. But it is more about the food than the price. I don't mind spending on quality Chinese takeout. I just have feeling they used oil and sauce to cover their non-fresh food. Food is super greasy even when I ask to be "extremely little sauce." They definitely reused oil because the fried food are all brown. A fresh fries food should be golden color and food usually taste good even when it's left over, but not in this place. It's already bad enough that the food is disgusting but also the place is really dirty and also the service is terrible. "Great Wall" and "green garden" both on north plank rd, are associated with each other. I advise you guys to eat else where. You would know when the food isn't good from just observing the sanitation when you first walk in that place. The more sanitary a place look, you know it will be clean. But not in this case.
