Chef Moe is a Rock Star in our book! He made us a pair of Vegan Breakfast Pitas that were so fresh and delicious that my mouth is watering as I write! The pita bread was warm and fluffy wrapped around a symphony of just egg, crumbled sausage, grilled peppers, mushrooms, tomato and vegan cheddar, with a generous splash of siracha sauce. We were looking for a quick breakfast before starting our day and stumbled upon this place. There were various breakfast items and drinks to choose from on the menu. It didn't take too long to get our food. I got the Southwest wrap which was kind of bland, had a decent amount of eggs, green pepper and sausage. The cholula packets at the counter helped with the flavor, but overall I wasn't too impressed. Genuinely blew my socks off. The hen of the wood soup and Tex Mex bowl was beyond belief and exceeded my expectations significantly.

We stayed at the Commodore's Inn. Not some place we can highly recommend. The Green Goddess Cafe is just about five minutes. It is really a hidden gem. Service is on point. Food is good. We love the coffee so much that we bought a bag. Price is very good. Much better than those at Stowe. read more

After touring the Von Trapp Lodge and meeting the highland cows, we came here for an early lunch! We loved everything we ordered. The soup of the day was chilli and dipped our grilled cheese in it (YUM!) Also loved the Caesar wrap, very fresh and perfectly dressed. My family and I decided to order our food, and half of our order came out, and then the other food that we did order either never came out , we got cold food, and the wrong items came out. By the time everyone got their food, it practically all cold. Yes, they apologized, but the quality of the food was not that great. I decided to get the breakfast bowl, and it definitely was not worth $11 it was very skimpy and cold when it came out. I was not happy at all. I decided to get a side of French toast, and it was very tasteless . I would highly suggest checking out a different place and saving your money. One lunch was Burrito bowls which were a huge hit with the entire group - delicious, filling and couldn't get enough of their green goddess sauce. Was not a huge fan. The wraps lacked any seasoning. They added mushrooms when I said to please remove them. Coffee was so bitter I threw my drink away. The jalapeño corn chowder was not spicy at all and needed some seasoning. They also advertise on their windows that they have juices but when we asked they said they had none. Only bottled ones which is not what we were anticipating. So disappointing given the great reviews. read more

We ordered food here on a whim on our way to a hike! While the iced coffee tasted burnt and terrible, the food made up for it. I got the Cubano and it was easily the best sandwich I've eaten. It was crafted beautifully and each bite was perfection. The pork carnita wrap was also flavorful (but did not beat the Cubano!) Our friends also got the cheesy homefries and let us try some, and I could've easily eaten the whole thing. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the cheese on top brought the whole dish together. Went looking for breakfast in Stowe this morning and after being shutout at another location we landed here. What a great find! At 7:50am we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were greeted right away and pointed to the wall menu. This is a counter service restaurant with a very cute eating area. Nice, New England style wooden tables and chairs with some wall bar seating. Breakfast offers a number of egg dishes, French toast and pancakes. The cheesy home fries are amazing- a large portion with cheddar cheese, green onions and an aioli on top. I could have just had this for breakfast. My husbands pancakes were large and delicious. I also had a breakfast sandwich and this is where they lose a star. An egg sandwich is just that- an egg on an English muffin. Want a very thin, see through piece of cheddar cheese? $6 please. Want a single small link sausage cut into many pieces added? An additional $5 please. So, a simple egg sandwich is really $15. Coffee was very good. The food was OK, I had the vegan wrap on gluten-free bread. I visited this establishment with my parents, they both seem to enjoy their meals. The three stars is due to the service, we all found the stuff to be less than friendly. The woman that took our order was very curt, with short answers to questions. She was the first and only person in the entire area that I found to be somewhat rude. The inside is well decorated though, so that is a plus. And there is a small parking lot outside so parking is available. All in all, I would say, the food is not too great, and I certainly would not come back with the lack of friendliness.
