I'd just returned from a 10 day business trip without my family and was greeted with a beautiful…read morebirthday gift and the instructions to "pack a bag for overnight"... apparently the boy and the cherubs had a birthday extravaganza in store for me. The next morning they had me up at the crack of dawn and into the car before i could object. An hour and 10 minutes later we pulled up at the Bay Motor Inn. Cutest little cottages and a nice big pool. This was already looking good. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Irene, the proprietor, who made us right at home. The cottages were perfect, the kids had one and the boy an I had an adjacent cottage (complete with a cute little porch). The rooms were clean and well appointed, air conditioned and they even shuffled us around when we saw the porch unit. Fred and Irene could not have been better hosts. As we relaxed by the pool they made us feel like we were long lost friends. What a comfort in today's world of "institutional lodging". We had such a great time on day one that we stayed an extra day. Aside from the hotel's amenities and charming hosts the Motel was located in a perfect position for us. We could easily scoot to beautiful beaches, take a walk along the canal and even take the kids bowling, mini golfing and go kart riding (I lost all three but it was worth it for the family time!). Looking for a great, affordable getaway? Check it out... we loved it and we're already planning our next escape to "The Bay"! Shhh .... don't tell anyone ... I'd like to keep this one for me and the boy!

Excellent location for the Cape Cod Lovers, next to the west side of the Canal in Buzzards Bay and close to the Herring Run at the beautiful scenic highway 6. Also close to many good restaurants an beautiful beaches. We stayed there 6 nights and have not complains at all. Wish they had memory foam mattresses! bat for that price it is just fine regular spring mattresses, clean sheets and blankets..

My room was large and clean and didn't look that it needed many updates. But it smelled like Italian dressing, which is better than smoke. There is a pool on site, although I didn't visit it. There are few papers in the lobby. The cleaning staff and the night manager were very nice. There is a breakfast included in the cost of your room. Now here are the things I didn't like. One of the doors to the entrance is broken, which makes a bad impression. There is caution tape draped on one of the doors to the breakfast room. The public areas are in serious need of repair. The morning/afternoon manager is not friendly at all. There is no elevator to the second floor, so if you brought a lot of luggage like I did, you're in trouble. Breakfast is 7-10 am. I went down at 8:30 and there were no eggs r sausages left. I went back a little while later and there was still no eggs or sausages. This hotel is a mixed bag. I can't recommend staying here, but I wouldn't tell people to stay away, especially if they make the much needed repairs.

We had two reservations, one reservation was booked directly with your site, and the other was with a third party. When the third party reservation checked in, there was no issue. It's when they went to go get dinner and come back the issue arose. Their keys were not working, and so they went to the front desk. He then told us that the credit card the third party provided wasn't working. We then called the third party who called the hotel. He was extremely rude to them on the phone and extremely rude to us at this point. He wouldn't let us go get our stuff out of the room at first, but finally gave in and allowed us to. At that point the third party website was trying to figure out the issue and called the hotel. He repetitively picked up the phone, hung it up on them and continued to do it. He was not helpful at all in finding a solution for us to get into a hotel room. He was extremely rude to us. Then in order to get a refund my boss needed his name so Hopper could register it and process a refund so we could go get another room. He refused to give us his name and he was not wearing name tag. He then said it was "Steve None of Ya Biz". I stay in hotels almost 1/3 of the month all around the country and have never in my life had such rudeness and unprofessionalism by a front desk employee. He then proceeded to tell us it we didn't leave the property he was going to call the police. I'm sure you have cameras so you can check to verify we were not doing anything. He should absolutely be fired. The way he treated us was disgusting.

The setting and décor itself is quite lovely. Jan goes out of her way to make people comfortable if they have any special requests. The rooms are clean with maid service on a daily basis, our room shared an outdoor porch on the second floor. Breakfast is served 8:30am-9:30am. Jan is a great cook and Charlie services the food.
