Not a fan. A coworker was eating these and they smelled so good so I thought I'd give it a try. I checked the menu before I went because I didn't want to be standing there forever reading labels of a million identical green tubs. I was pretty disappointed right away that they don't have many low sodium options but I found the Steak & Eggs and Stuffed Herb Chicken which didn't look too bad. When I went to purchase they only had the Steak & Eggs in stock so I just grabbed one of those. For the love of gods, what did these poor potatoes ever do to deserve this fate? They just taste dirty and slimy. The steak has a decent flavor but it is so dry. I don't think the eggs are seasoned and also dry. Everyone's busy these days, and we all need a little extra help sometimes. Several of my colleagues and friend recommended the $5 Saturday specials for grabbing some quick meals for the week, so I dropped in one Saturday afternoon around 2:30 or 3. I was surprised how many meals were left that were pretty good! Service with a smile - I wasn't pushed or bothered by the employees, and check out was quick with some delightful small talk. There are eat or freeze by dates on the containers along with heating and nutrition info. The meals were really tasty, and you can always add some salt or seasoning if you crave a little more flavor. Large selection, although containers are kind of small, food is mostly very good in taste and quality, especially anything with chicken. I think they're normally priced at $7 each, but if you buy more than 6, you get a dollar off and if you buy them on Saturday, they are $5 each. Calories and nutritional info are all labeled on each container, and they restock every Saturday so that's also the best time to go in as their fridges will be full. read more

That's when I usually go and stock up for the week. They have breakfast and lunch/dinner. The meals don't change much from week to week but there are various types. For breakfast you have about 7 different options. Lunch/Dinner you have numerous options (rough guess of 50) that vary from Mexican, Cajun, Asian, American, etc. The label breaks down as following: top- ingredients and rehearing, side 1- highlights the calories, carbs, side - full nutrition label. Watch out for the cholesterol and sodium on some of these. Flavor is, typically, better than I would expect from a meal prep. The staff is really friendly and a pleasure to interact with. If you've never been there ask them for a rundown, they will gladly explain everything. read more

I stopped in today for my first time on my lunch break to try to get a balanced meal for a reasonable price - which they have. I got the chicken fajitas and chicken teriyaki. I tried the chicken fajitas and it was good. I have yet to try the chicken teriyaki. The chicken fajitas tasted like those I would make at home myself. I would, after trying the one meal, recommend this place for anyone trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle that maybe forgot their lunch or didn't feel like meal prepping for that day. It was quick and easy to step in, find something that fit my nutritional needs, checkout and return to work to heat up lunch in the microwave. If you can meal prep yourself, you can most certainly make all of the same meals they offer for a cheaper price, but at $7 on a day when I didn't have a meal-prepped lunch, this is exactly what I wanted. read more

Truly bad experience with Green Heart Meals today. I came in and bought 6 meals. As I as checking out I asked how long the meals were good for. I was told for 5 days then you must freeze. (This I later learned was a general statement not related to the meals I was purchasing) I noticed after I paid that 2 of the meals were expiring tomorrow and asked if I could switch them out for meals with longer self lives. The cashier didn't acknowledge my question. She suggested to me to 'just eat the meals today'. I was in a bit of shock that this was how the situation was handled. I mean I really didn't want to eat two of the exact same meals in one day. I wanted the meals to last through the weekend. This did not sit well with me and I reached out via the website to address my concern. I was told that there that been a 'miscommunication'. No recommendations were given to me to resolve my concern. I was then told that these older meals should have been discounted via the website communication, this statement was then retracted. I was told I needed to be more careful when buying meals. I also noticed that one meal said it expired on the 10/26. However, it states it was packaged on the packaged on 10/5? Pictured below. I asked to speak with someone else regarding my concern. After speaking with a young man at the Perkins location he basically said that I never asked to exchange the meals for newer ones. He was not present when I was checking out. He stated that he did not believe my statement because the cashier denied it. I told him he could review a camera. This was upsetting because I feel as though I was accused of being dishonest. Which I would never do. He never offered any resolution to my issues. I didn't want a refund or anything without paying. He stated that my concern 'really wasn't a big deal'. He also stated that he needed to make everyone happy'. I guess everyone did not include the customer. I accept that I should have paid closer attention to the dates before paying, but why not let me exchange for fresher ones before I left the store? I mean, aren't you trying to get returning customers? The only thing I ever requested from anyone was to exchange for fresher meals. I finally ended the silliness and told him I was coming in and getting fresher meals. The customer service was not acceptable in my opinion. It was really nonexistent. I will be trying out a different meal prep place next time. I did return and get meals with longer expiration dates. read more

They seem like a good price until you receive them and it's all rice. Seems like they cut corners with the protein to save on cost.
