Indeed, they totally did the hand-holding thing for my mother whenever she requested it. And the new roof is looking good! (I'd say it looks better than the original roof.) They finished the job on the 2nd day and cleaned up any mess they'd left. Later, they came back to the house to once again meet and talk with our insurance company on extra damage they'd noticed on the gutters. About a week later, we had new gutters (and covers). He abandoned us and left the project unfinished, with many things left undone that we had previously paid for. We now have a lien on our property for insulation that was installed early on, and another outstanding bill for countertops. We had to pay to re-pave our driveway to replace concrete that he had removed, also that we had already paid for. That was another $11,000 out of our pocket, just for beginners. That doesn't include the workers he did not pay during the time he was on our project. We had to hire people on our own to finish the project, so we are out of pocket approximately $40,000. He also did not pay the electrician or the plumber. He has made no effort to remedy this situation with us.
