Scheduling with them initially was a little confusing - first we were messaging through Yelp, then text, then they sent me to their website. They were communicative but I never knew which channel to reach out to first. They did come out quickly which was appreciated. The first two gentleman that came to replace my fan and fix my ceiling light were not great. They would look at something, and then disappear and call someone and be on the phone with someone while they were looking at the fan or light fixture, almost like they were calling someone and asking them what they should do. Shouldn't they know? They were at my house for HOURS. WAY longer than I think they should have been. They would just look at the light fixture and talk to each other for like 5 minutes, then step out to make a phone call, then come back and start working on it. Over and over and over. They took a brand new fan out of the box and replaced it, but it wobbled like crazy (turns out they just didn't put the fan together really well because the second guys that came back made it much better). When they replaced my dimmer switch and celiing light, it looked AWFUL. Wasn't flush to the ceiling at all. They told me just to patch it, but this clearly needed more than a patch! I couldn't believe they just left it like that. I called and told them I was unhappy with their work, and they offered to come back and fix it. The second guys that came back were in and out so fast. They fixed the light and it looks perfect, just as it should. Clearly the first guys that came out had no idea what they were doing. Disappointed to have had a less than stellar experience, considering how highly reviewed they are. It must depend on what service folks you have come out to actually do the work.

The technician who came by was pleasant, but when he heard we wanted a complete rewire, he did not even inspect the property or the amp panel. He just ballparked us a random number that made absolutely no sense. It was when I asked him to do an inspection to review the scope of work that he half heartedly opened a few outlets and said "ok, we're just going to replace them." In the end he gave me a quote verbally and never even sent me an actual quote that was promised. I would be extremely careful working with this company or choosing them for any high level electric work. If you review them on BBB or the California licensing board, you'll see that the owner is C-10 licensed but his workers are contractors who are working under his license. In comparing them to other electric companies in SGV in which the workers are licensed, this company uses just random contractors so the quality of your work varies.

A tenant an issue with an old outlet that was on the outside of the house. The outlet had been…read morethere before the GFCI outlets were required and there was a short due to the tenant plugging their EV to charge during those heavy rains in November that caused the outlet to stop working and fried the tenant's charger. Fortunately there wasn't any electric fire or shorts at the house's electric panel. My brother put out a bid on Yelp to find a capable electrician who could replace it at a reasonable cost and we decided on taking a shot with J Powers Electric. They showed up at the time of the appointment which is a big plus in my book and they gave me an estimated time of completion barring any unforeseen complications. The current outlet was replaced with a brand new GFCI outlet with an in use weather cover and everything went smoothly and quickly. I'll definitely put J Powers Electric on my list of electricians to reach out to get bids for any other electric related needs I may have in the future.

Primo was the third company we reached out to for estimates and we chose them off of good vibes and competitive prices. I'm grateful for it. These guys are solid, honest people and won't recommend things you don't need. In fact, if you have a wild idea for something that is unnecessary or costly, they'll tell you up front so you know in advance. In addition to doing things the right way, they're respectful. I've chatted with a few companies about various house projects and David and Jesse treated me (a woman) like my input matters just as much as my husband's. It signals competence, excellence, and professionalism when, even though I say "my husband is the boss," a contractor checks with me just in case. And, it prevents arguments down the road. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

I looked for companies that also specialized in energy efficiency because I knew they would be offering top quality products. All my questions were answered, the plans were detailed and shown to me. They dealt with city inspectors, and completed the system install professionally. I definitely recommend them as you can tell their attention to detail. They also installed their Nest Pro package which comes with outdoor cameras, smart doorbell, and smart thermostat. You can view the cameras and doorbell through the Nest iPhone app which makes knowing your home is safe when you are away. After meeting with three construction contractors, My husband and I decided to move forward and trust our new house remodeling to Gimenergy and construction. If you are looking for black on black panels, this is the company you should be contacting. I have met with numerous companies asking for black on black panels. I think i contacted evefy single solar company through yelp. Finally, this company said they have black panels and the panels ade AMERICAN made!!! We did a lot of research going into this project and had a pretty specific vision of what we wanted -- including battery storage, system sizing, and long-term efficiency. The team was receptive to that from day one and worked with us instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. Communication was solid throughout the process. As with any solar project, there were a lot of moving parts (permitting, inspections, utility coordination), but they kept things moving and were responsive whenever we had questions. Installation itself was clean and professional. The conduit runs and equipment placement were well done, and everything looks neat and intentional -- which definitely matters for a system you'll be living with long-term. We also appreciated how they handled the more complex parts of the project, including battery integration and working with LADWP for interconnection and net metering. That process can get confusing, but they helped guide it through to completion. System has been up and running smoothly, and we're already seeing the benefits in terms of reduced grid usage and better control over our energy. Shoutout to Omar and the team for getting us across the finish line. If you're looking for a company that's knowledgeable, flexible, and able to handle a more customized setup, Treepublic is a solid choice.

Updating my review as of June 2026…read more To Treepublic's credit, they recently reimbursed $707.85 in sales tax that we first brought to their attention in December 2025. Apparently there was "an error in a QuickBooks template," and we appreciate that correction. However, our project remains unresolved. One remaining issue involves a SoCalGas incentive of $3,569.25 (SGIP Project ID #SCG-SGIP-2024-5470). Since September 2024, we have repeatedly asked Treepublic to answer a small number of straightforward questions regarding this SGIP application and its cancellation history. Rather than summarize the matter here, I have attached a three-page timeline compiled from Treepublic's own emails and records. We will gladly update this review again when the project is fully resolved and the outstanding issues have been addressed.

I tried using EnergySage and the Tesla site to calculate prices but it was difficult to gauge expertise and style with all of the installers. Moti gave the best price, walked us through great financing options, and started work right away. The roof and solar turnaround were VERY QUICK. His crew was very nice and had a great attention to detail. The pictures I am attaching speak for themselves. Carlos came out did some rewiring told us to have a CAT 5 cable ran to have a direct connect for our app and then he would come back to ensure everything was working properly. Before the CAT 5 was installed the inverter stopped working again. I called Carlos, he said to give him a call the following week because he had a big job out of town. No problem. I totally understand. I tried to reconnect with him several times. Sometimes he picks up sometimes he doesn't. Last time we spoke we picked a tentative appointment date for him to come out. When I called him to confirm he wouldn't return my call. This has gone on for over a month and a half. Disappointed and a waste of time to say the least especially because he had other great reviews. Awareness for other potential clients. ***In regards to your response below, all you had to do was let me know (text/phone call). Your response to my comment was the first time you have ever said you are not doing that type of work. Best of luck.

I searched on Yelp, needing to find the right company to do the upgrade without an unnecessary upsell. Carlos reached out to me right away and took the time to listen and explain the options. It turned out he showed me a much better way to upgrade our system and get a better value. I was able to pre-purchase the components from my prior solar company at great savings. Carlos' company provided the panels. Btw, Anca Solar's pricing was very reasonable and within my budget. I scheduled the service and the guys were great, even arriving early. They got the job done in one day and the system works great! The biggest plus is, Carlos responded to my emails very quickly, keeping the line of communication open. He consistently answered all my questions and left no doubt I was in good hands. I can't say enough great things about Carlos and Anca Solar.
