Unfortunately Anca Solar did not work out for my family and I. We have an issue with our solar inverter. It is not turning on/lost power. Carlos came out did some rewiring told us to have a CAT 5 cable ran to have a direct connect for our app and then he would come back to ensure everything was working properly. Before the CAT 5 was installed the inverter stopped working again. I called Carlos, he said to give him a call the following week because he had a big job out of town. No problem. I totally understand. I tried to reconnect with him several times. Sometimes he picks up sometimes he doesn't. Last time we spoke we picked a tentative appointment date for him to come out. When I called him to confirm he wouldn't return my call. This has gone on for over a month and a half. Disappointed and a waste of time to say the least especially because he had other great reviews. Awareness for other potential clients. ***In regards to your response below, all you had to do was let me know (text/phone call). I had a working solar panel system that was operating just fine but aging and less efficient than before. I searched on Yelp, needing to find the right company to do the upgrade without an unnecessary upsell. Carlos reached out to me right away and took the time to listen and explain the options. This review is long overdue! Back in November and December of 2015, we purchased a solar system from Sungevity (which has since gone out of business). At the time, Sungevity's installer was Anca. I didn't fully understand the split between the company that sold us the system and the company that installed it. When I learned that Sungevity had gone out of business, I called Anca with concerns about future service and support. Carlos was quick to reassure me that Anca would stand by us, and that has held completely true. Now, in November 2024, we're having our roof replaced, which requires temporarily removing the solar panels. Recently had Anca Solar install a solar system on my roof and owner Carlos and the whole Anca team were fantastic. It was a long journey for us due to six weeks of rain and bureaucratic delays from the city, but Carlos kept me informed throughout the whole process. I had a LOT of questions for Carlos when we started (and as we went along) and he answered every one of them to my satisfaction, every time. We installed a big system, but the install itself took less than two days (and we didn't even need to be home) and the app and website he provides to monitor our solar energy is great fun to watch, but also allows Carlos to continue to see if everything is working correctly, even when you're not paying attention. Anca solar installed my solar panels roughly four years ago. As stated in my previous review, the response time and the service you get from Carlos and his "A" team are second to none. Flash forward to today.. we get to test what happens when something goes wrong.. Apparently one of my panels went down and Carlos was there from the moment I reported to now the system running at full speed again. A true test of a company is how they treat their past customers and the service they provide. I'm upgrading Anca Solar to A+++ service rating from my end. So happy and relieved to have found Anca Solar to uninstall and reinstall our solar panels. Having had problematic original install, we were a little apprehensive to move forward with another solar company. I will start by saying I couldn't be happier after having my solar system installed by ANCA Solar. 5 Stars for sure. Now some background. I finally decided to get solar because of rising power costs, and because of the recent installation of central air conditioning. I did my due diligence, getting quotes from 6 different companies. They were 5 of the "name brands," and ANCA, which is a smaller operation. Frankly, my first thought was to go with one of the "bigger boys," the kinds of places that have flashy websites, and provide you with a "customized report" for your residence (keep in mind these reports are 95% fluff, that show graphs of how much you can save over 25 years, pictures of other installations, descriptions of the panels they were pushing, etc. There was a single page that was my quote in these packages, which was pretty much the only thing I was interested in.) I met with Carlos in my home (properly masked and socially distanced) and he walked me through the entire process including the bureaucracy of the LADWP. He was patient and answered all my questions. He very quickly provided a quote which was quite a bit lower than the big guys. Quite a bit. I imagine he has a greatly reduced overhead, which is a big part. His quote also included highly rated LG panels (generally one of the top 2 manufacturers) - the others offered the brand they were pushing. BTW: Carlos has been in the solar business for over 20 years; most of the others I talked to hadn't been out of High School for 20 years. That kind of experience counts for a lot. I had a lot of back and forth with Carlos. After starting this process, I realized that part of my roof was very old - unfortunately the part where some of the panels needed to go (I had some additions done, so about half of my roof was newer). I had to go back to everyone and get a quote for replacing part of the roof. Carlos was willing to replace only the older parts of the roof; the others all insisted the entire roof be replaced. This created a staggering increase in bid price from the big boys. In the case of ANCA solar the increase was, frankly, almost trivial in comparison. As part of my nagging obsession with due diligence, I asked Carlos for a few references. He provided several, two of which were within walking distance. I visited those and talked to the others on the phone. Every single one spoke glowingly of Carlos and his crew. In the end, Carlos and I worked out exactly what the scope of the project would be, he gave me a quote and I signed the contract the next day. Couldn't...be...happier...I...did. His crew showed up like 3 days later (we signed the contract on a Friday, so the next working day). They were polite, professional and answered my pestering questions. The system was fully installed in a few days- I think the system itself would have been installed in one day, as the rest of the time was spent dealing with my roof. The result was exactly what I needed. Carlos even provided a cover for my electrical box, which was lost years ago, and I could not seem to find online. In the end, I can say, without reservations, that I made the right choice. I highly recommend ANCA solar for your solar installation. The work was top notch, the service was excellent, and the cost was way below the next nearest bid. You owe it to yourself to at least meet with him and get a bid. I'm pretty sure you will then decide to have him install your system. read more

We had Anca Solar do the solar for the residential home that is owned by our church in Reseda. A member of the church contacted some other solar companies who never responded to give a bid. I was referred to Carlos and worked with him throughout the project and they did an amazing job! We were able to fit 21 modules (305 watts each), 21 optimizes, along with a Solar Edge Inverter. Basically, really good and up-to-date equipment for a residential property. Since it was an old property, there wasn't much life for the roof. And so before the investment, we decided to get the roof done as well. Anca Solar did the roofing job in about a day and for a really great price compared to other roofers. Roof and solar was done in 2 1/2 days. With the new solar, the electric bill has gone down significantly! I recommend them if you have a solar project. read more

Anca Solar - what a great experience. After MUCH research and many meetings, I ended up speaking with Carlos - and here's why I chose him and Anca Solar: 1. The guy is just honest and kind - genuine and a pleasure to work with. Great Service! 2. They knew their stuff. Whether it was roofing concerns, or electrical requirements - they were on it, professional, and did great/clean work. 3. They care. About the client, about the details, about explaining things - there's a level of care that is rare these days. I needed a new roof, an old electric solar panel system removed from my roof and a new system installed. I talked to several solar companies. Most were very knowledgeable, but none were as much help as Carlos from Anca Solar was. I'm a project manager and a guy who loves to research technology. I was leaning very strongly towards a "micro inverter" based system. Carlos took the time to walk me through the benefits of that type of system and to also explain the benefits of the "optimizer" system. He made my decision to go with optimizers an easy one. Carlos also walked me through my options for my replacement roof. To be honest, I thought that Carlos would come out with a few guys and do the install. In other words, I sort of thought they were kind of a smaller shop. But wow! The first thing you learn about Anca Solar is that they have a team of experts for each phase of the work. One team came out and took down the old system and did some prep work on the roof. Then another team showed up to get the electrical work prepped for the new system. The next day the roofers showed up and finished the roof. As they were finishing the roof, the solar team began to set up the mounting hardware for the new solar panels. The next day a specialized team showed up and professionally installed the new system and I was making electricity once again! No missed schedule - no surprises - entire project completed in three days! At one point, I had three different teams working on my project at the same time. I am dead honest with my reviews and don't give five stars easily. I shopped solar panels for over a year, practically torturing the sales reps to get an understanding of the calculations, system design spec, etc. What I learned about solar panels is once you establish a baseline for the quality of products and warranties, you are basically comparing installers. This is where the big names failed to win me over. After having this realization, I felt much more comfortable with someone local and experienced. I have been very pleased with Carlos Vega and Anca Solar for my solar installation. I started looking into solar at the beginning of the year. I got 3 estimates (Costco being the most expensive by far), and chose Anca. Carlos was exactly on time for any appointments, and explained everything thoroughly. Within a month of our first appointment, the job was ready to begin. Then it started to rain - can you believe that in LA, it rained for a week. But Carlos kept me informed, and they completed the job quickly on a dry day in mid-March. The installation team was neat and clean. Then came the Covid shutdown. Once the solar system is installed, one needs inspections by the City, Fire Dept, and DWP. I wasn't sure if these agencies would come out. But again Carlos kept on top of things and called them, kept me informed, luckily all the inspectors came out and Carlos' team was here to meet them. My system was turned on in early April, and I received my first $0 electric bill recently (with some credits to spare). I highly recommend Anca Solar for your solar installation. And this is the year to do it - with a 26% federal tax credit. That credit will go down to 22% next year, and then fade away. read more
