I've been using Green Irrigation, Inc. for over 7 years, always flexible and available for my scheduled service. This year I had an emergency doctor's appointment and asked if they could adjust my 10-12 time window--either come after 12 or around 11 if possible. Instead of trying to help, the person I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. She kept bringing up things like not being able to control traffic or weather, which I never asked for. When I tried to explain, she cut me off and told me my only options were to be home, reschedule, or "go find someone else." After 7 years of loyalty, to be spoken to like that--without even listening--is unacceptable. I even have screenshots showing I was only trying to find a reasonable solution. Their work hasn't been great either (several sprinklers still spray the wrong way), but I stayed because the on-site technicians were polite. Sadly, the customer service experience was so disrespectful and unprofessional that I can no longer recommend them. They clearly do not value long-time customers. read more

To start, i spoke to Green Irrigation several times in the hopes that i would NOT have to write this review. Sadly, they have given me no choice. I created a Yelp account for this situation. First few visits were fine. They sent a great guy named Sean who was helpful and informative. Had some more expensive work done a second time, requested Sean and all was well. Pricey but well. This last time i had a leak in a valve in my sprinkler box that i noticed. I called and requested Sean. Had a feeling i was not going to get Sean because the woman on the phone didn't seem happy i requested him. (Whats the big deal?) A very nice young man came to my house (Not Sean) and i explained the problem. He took some pictures and proceeded to go out to his car/van to call his boss. 30 seconds later, he came back and explained my options: He explained to me that valves cannot be replaced one at a time, they have to be all done at the same time (not true) First option was $250 and he said it most likely wont work. I passed on that as you might imagine. Second option was to replace the entire box, that was $850. I was uncomfortable with he price and the fact that he had to call his boss (a person who didn't see my sprinkler box) to tell him what had to be done. It didn't feel right. Also, this young man didn't seem confident in doing the actual work. I declined. I was shocked to be charged $55 for an estimate. I respectfully paid the young man and thanked him. I have since had the work done by another company. The entire box was redone for $450. They walked me through the process, explained everything and tested the sprinklers in front of me. They said the price of $850 was nothing short of insane especially since the box was above ground. Called Green Irrigation the next day and spoke with a nice lady named Kathy. I explained that i felt like it was not fair to be charged $55 for an estimate and requested my money back. I told her i would like to remain a client for yearly services despite my disappointment. She said she would have to speak to the owner. She called me back a while later and explained that the owner said that they would not be returning my money. I expressed my disappointment. I told her as a new home owner they would be losing me as a yearly client for years to come for $55. She seemed embarrassed but had to stick with what her boss said. I thanked her for her time. I never yelled, used profanity or even raised my voice As a person who works with the public, i feel this was a very short sighted decision on their part. Shame on you Green Irrigation, hope the $55 was worth it. Run from this company. read more

This company takes advantage of new homeowners and needs to be out of business. Used them when we first moved into our home for closing our sprinklers which was fine. During the winter we had some damage done to one of our lines when we had an old cesspool removed. I let green irrigation know so when they came to open they could repair it. Opening came the entire system worked fine they said they would have to call John to have him schedule the repair and give us a quote. No one ever calls so I wait a week and call them (btw you always have to leave a voicemail since no one answers) Fernanda is very sweet and calls back tells me John said it is $1,200 and we set a date. They then tell me they have to cancel that date and will call me back to reschedule. I decided to call around and used Ample irrigation. They came 2 days later, charged me $120.00 and were done in 45 min!!! JOHN WAS CHARGING ME OVER $1,000 MORE!! I still never heard back to reschedule since 5/17/19 so I called today to speak to John. I wanted to talk to him about his pricing. John will never get on the phone. Poor Fernanda has to deal with the customers he decides to rip off. It's a shame that companies do business this way and take advantage of people. Stay away! read more

First available appointment for spring sprinkler turn on was 2 weeks out . They showed up to my house today and said I needed to replace one of the sprinklers . The bill was double the price because of that and it was raining today to I did not go outside until I went to throw out the trash and saw that they completely ripped up my grass and left a muddy disgusting mess. They also did not ask my permission to do this. Photo of my grass is attached..... did I mention it's 3 days before Memorial Day weekend . I guess I won't be having any guests over for a bbq this year! Thanks guys! I really appreciate it! The following day after green irrigation came to service my sprinklers I did some garden work and also noticed that the plastic casing we had around the main water valves was completely shattered and was left on the ground . I was never told this happened either . It seems the employees that are doing the services are not considerate to a homeowners property . I will no longer be using this company. Just to mention.... my sister moved to the area about a year ago and told me to use her sprinkler company because they were half the price . I was adamant that my loyalty was with green irrigation . I should have just saved myself the trouble .... lesson learned read more

Finally have the time to write a review. Had to reschedule for a funeral and they had the audacity to double the price the next time I called for closing the sprinklers. Luckily, you guys are a dime a dozen - and there are much better options out there. Also the work they did originally was messy. Grass was all dug up and left a mess. Additionally, they aimed 4 of the replaced sprinklers in the wrong directions. Thankfully I called a real professional who pointed out all the flaws of Green Irrigation. I do not recommend these guys at all. The older lady on the phone who does appointments is a real meatball - clearly not a Fortune 500 employee. read more

We have used green irrigation for 4 years now, ever since we bought our house. I've always been thrilled with their work, and felt they were very honest. They had been calling me to turn on my sprinklers, so we finally set the appointment. They send two young kids, which is fine, everyone starts somewhere, well the kids did not know how to get the water on, so the tried for maybe 20 minutes before letting me know. My husband has the sprinklers set up to an app so I just had to hit a button, which I didn't know until they told me they couldn't put it on. So I hit the button, everything is turned on and working. I paid $60 for me to hit a button. Still fine. They came checked the sprinklers. Well little did I know that when they were trying to get the water on, they broke the knob to the water valve and water has been leaking in my basement for almost two weeks!! My carpet is ruined. I had to throw away toys and photos. I called them, it was a holiday weekend which I understand. I called when they were back in the office and they have an option to text, so I did that as well. They finally returned my call. I told the woman what happened, she said a manager would contact me, he still hasn't. I've called twice since then. I am pissed. Had the kids said we accidentally broke the knob, I would have had the plumber here the same day to fix it and it would have been fine. Now I have to replace a carpet, lost priceless memories and I still haven't heard from them. They will never get my business again, nor will I ever recommend them. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Nothing against the technician as he did the job and was helpful. However, Whoever the female manager that works the phone is absolutely horrid and will be the reason I do not use them anymore. Massive ripoff and told me to take my business elsewhere because I was asking for them to confirm the pricing the technician told me, and wanted to see if they could do any better since it was absurdly high and I used them to close my sprinklers in the winter. Gave me an attitude and was combative from the second I started asking questions. Then said the technician is the one who determines the cost and does any negotiating? The manager doesn't do that? She then told me she's been there for 5 years (irrelevant) and she's never had someone ask the manager about pricing based on being a continued customer. I just read multiple yelp reviews that are contrary to that and are the identical scenario i had. I even addressed her being combative and she continued, while getting worse. This has to be a reoccurrence for that to be the case. It seemed very standard for her. Maybe a lesson in customer service and defusing situations would serve you well and get your reviews up. I should have looked them up first as their average review tells you what you need to know. Never again. read more

The kids that came and turned in our system were nice but they had to call in for help . 6 heads were broke and a line from last year ? Seems excessive. One head they replaced last year so I'm not sure how it already broke . . On top of that they wanted $5 extra each spigot to be turned on!! Seems like Nickel and dining. These people are awful. They have highschoolers doing the work for them and have the audacity to charge you $50. During the winter sprinkler system closing, they reconfigured my entire sprinkler system which they didn't have to do at all. Now I have to reconfigure it all over again in the spring! They do it on purpose so that you call them. On top of that, one of my zones now doesn't work! There is no reason for this other than the fact that 1. they didn't do a good job removing the water from the system and now it burst or 2. did it on purpose so that we pay them for the repairs. I received a card in the mail advertising their services. I failed to do my due diligence and hired them to open my system in the spring. After paying them to open my system and make two minor repairs to my system which is less than two years old, I came home see water gushing from one of the valves. I immediately called and left a message after listening to a recording which says that they return calls same day. Five days later, after calling seven more times and leaving four more messages, someone finally called me back. They arranged for someone to come back to my house (in the middle of the work day) and after seeing the leaking valve, advised me that I now have to pay them an additional $125 (on top of the $206 that I already paid). Side note.... I was told that they could not provide me with a receipt because it is not their job. The icing on the cake was being told by two men who looked like they were 15 years old that they were doing me a "favor" when I expressed my frustration at this situation. Well... they weren't doing me a favor; I was paying for a SERVICE. I will pay any competitor twice as much just so that I never have to use them again. Consumers be warned! read more
