It's right next to Princeton's campus and the Battle of Trenton Memorial. My husband is a big fan of all the Signers of the Declaration, and unlike a more restored house about the people who owned the house, it focuses on the Stockton family who lived here and the American Revolution and a special exhibit. We were actually here for a few hours since there's a lot of signs to read and a lot of Richard Stocktons who lived in the house, followed by some governors. When I went, there was also a really interesting exhibit on Ma Bell and the history of telecommunications upstairs. This was a great historical site, a cheap price, and a nice space. Would love to come back when the garden is in bloom, and I will look out for future exhibitions as they rotate in.

Right now, the sunflower field is in full beauty, and coming soon: apple, pumpkin, and gourd picking. The farm is open year‑round with fresh produce, a charming farm market, and seasonal home goods. Dogs are preferred outdoors, but if it is quiet, they may let your pup pop inside. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly -- you can tell they truly love what they do. And right on the property is a Tomasello Winery tasting room, featuring a huge portfolio of New Jersey‑made wines. We did a 5‑wine tasting (which includes a souvenir glass!) and explored everything from grape wines to fruit wines, cider, and even cream‑infused varieties with over 50 different products. I asked if they could bring me another one out. They said there are no extras and that they do not serve made to order steak. Really?? Who screws fillets up? It rained so they closed the tent up. It was like being in a sauna. All the young men took their ties off and unbuttoned their shirts. How do you not have AC?? At the end of the evening when the 2 bartenders were trying to keep up with making drinks and getting the beer on ice, I overheard the one say that this group is brutal. It's ok to think that but you should probably keep your thoughts to yourself so guests don't hear you. They actually closed the bar up early.

The garden was created in 1912 when Sayen purchased the land with his wife Anne Mellon (of the Mellon family) and built a home in the Arts and Crafts style. The azaleas and rhododendrons are especially magnificent. We visited during the Azalea Festival over Mother's Day weekend, and the flowers were in full colorful splendor. There are ponds, gazebos, and walking trails around the property. My favorite are the wooded trails at one end of the park, but they aren't marked so you could end up wandering around trying to find the exit. Tip: you can find GPS map tracks in AllTrails and Gaia to stay oriented.

GROSS. I completely understand that it's an outdoor winery and that sweet wines can attract bugs, but this was on a completely different level than anything we've experienced there before. Hopefully, the new owners address the issue maybe bringing in a pest control company to treat the grounds would help, because it was BAD.
