Took advantage of a free pizza because it had been a while since we last ordered. We added a few toppings and got some extras to go along with our order. The bacon I added on the pizza was half fat. We picked off most of it. This is really unacceptable for how much you charge for additional toppings. It's also disgusting to bite into it. Each slice of pizza had at least two of these blobs of fat pieces. Literal pieces of chunky fat. So gross. read more

Placed on line order at 7:05 p.m. at the GL on 22 Mile and Romeo Plank in Macomb Twp., drove to the store at 8:15 p.m. to pick it up and was told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. Thank You "Lily" for your Awesome customer service, courteous and helpful personality on the phone when I placed my orders in the year of 2020. Since I am a "Helper Yelper" and personable with businesses plus employees, I like to flip the way I place my order either by phone or the GL App. This location is clean inside upon entering for pick up with a friendly Hello how can I help You greeting. There's an area to sit down when waiting for your turn. Due to COVID-19, there is social distancing before entering, therefore only 4 customers are allowed inside on designated marks on the floor. A stocked cooler is filled with beverages to buy or when adding it to a pizza order. I've talked to the manager many times on phone or in person to praise his team of hard working employees that are high school or college staff. The quality of the different speciality pizzas and cheesy bread is always accurate and cooked properly or if I request it. I have posted many photos of the quality and quantity of my carry out orders from the year 2020. Hopefully they are all attached after my 2nd review. On New Year's Eve I placed my 1st delivery order at 8:30 PM since I was not in the mood to drive 4 blocks plus drinking/toasting early in the new year. I was told by Lily that my pizza and bread order would be 45-50 minutes due to the busy kitchen with holiday orders. I liked her suggestion that the employee would send me a text message to my cell phone when he was in route to deliver my order in a 5 minutes. What a "AWESOME" option from this Green Lantern location! Delivery employee "Mitchell" did text me when he left in his vehicle plus he arrived less than 8 minutes as I was told. She repeats back what a customer has ordered to verify which I feel is a plus! P. S. Delivery fee is only $4.00. Advertisement flyers with coupons are always available at the counter or in the postal mail monthly. I highly recommend this "Local Pizza Business" which is located on Romeo Plank Rd. at 23 Mile Rd., in the Waldenburg Business Plaza. I have been a satisfied and pleased customer since they opened and will continue ordering from Green Lantern when I crave those curled up pepperoni's and extra cheesy gooey bread. *No charge on their dipping sauce either! Green Lantern Pizza became the go-to when other pizza chains started turning out inferior product. The Shelby location was top notch - great customer service and fast and delicious product. Unfortunately, it appears that's over - as my last few carryout orders provided a poor experience. Their premium antipasto salad was once abundant - filled to the top and lot of ham, salami and cheese. It's now a joke - barely half full and the toppings were barely there. I've contacted Green Lantern about this - but, they don't bother to reply. I would love to support a small, family owned business -- but, the quality just doesn't warrant it. read more

I hate to jump on the bitch fest wagon, but I would have to agree with the recent trend of reviews that this place is coming in well under average. I'm not sure if it's the quality of employees you are hiring, a switch in management or just a lack of caring how our pizza taste. Our most recent order during this pandemic left me wondering if I'll ever order from this location again. I'm sure you agree that a pizza tastes best when all the items are warm, the cheese is melted, the crust is crispy & there isn't liquid on top of the pizza. I don't wanna have to ask for well done because the odds of it being burnt at that point went up 50 percent. I just want my pizza cooked properly, if it comes out & it's not done cooking, put it back in for some additional time. This is part of the job, knowing when to do that, this is why I gave you the money, because I am to lazy to do it myself. Management may wanna keep an eye on this, because it's not an isolated incident. Last but not least, I'm not sure why we would think it's ok to serve pickles that look like they have been sitting on the counter at room temperature for weeks, but as many pickles as you guys sell, I have to tell you, I was pretty grossed out, so that's why I left them sitting on your counter after having just asked for extra. Amazing pizza, delicious tasting cheese and pepperoni deep dish is our go to. Dough consistency is perfect and not greasy at all, just the way it should be. They are not kidding when they say "King of Pepperoni," there is no skimping! The sauce is spot on. We have a family member who can't do dairy, so we get them the BLT. So good! So when I found out Green Lantern opened in my neighborhood, I was excited to get this amazing pizza to go & not travel far. They did come with delicious marinara. In regards to the pizza: holy grease! This is the most greasiest pizza I've had since I can't remember. Their pepperoni was thick cut - the taste if it was like Tony's frozen pizza. Green Lantern also opted for canned mushrooms, which are so not my thing. Canned mushrooms do NOT taste good! I love the pizza. It's the only reason it's getting 3 stars. Twice, we have ordered from there and both times the the pizza took a ridiculous amount of time. They are pretty busy, and I'm pretty patient, but tonight, I called for the pizza at 5:43. I was told 25 min. I got there at 6:20. At 6:35, I went back up to the counter and asked about my pizza. I was told they would check. 6:40, pizza was done. Almost an hour for carry out pizza. If it's going to be an hour, just say so! Then, the pizza was so greasy that it soaked through the box, dripped on to my seat, which stained. It was dripping off my hand and onto my phone, shirt and pants. Now come on!! This is not Green Lantern pizza. I just have to be honest. This place is like Little Caesar pizza poor quality. On top of that I ordered a veggie pizza with toppings of my choice and they made it the way they wanted to! I didn't ask for olives or banana peppers but they felt the need to put it on there. Normally this is a 5/5 place. But I have never been so disappointed by their delivery service and management. Next time I'm sure things will be perfect, but this time it was a subpar experience. The delivery guy pulled up onto our driveway on time. I went to grab the plates, then i went back to the door and he drove off with the pizza! We called, and they told us to wait 10 minutes and then call back. We call back they said they didnt know where he was at. After waiting for a while, we later figured out he forgot the salad. Common sense says, talk to the customer or drop off the hot food and then get the salad later. It was 50 minutes in between being notified our pizza was out for delivery and the final delivery. Our pizza was delivered luke warm. It had a decent amount of toppings however. The flavors probably would've been fine if it werent delivered late. The salad however was good. And honestly after our experience it was hard to enjoy our meal. We were comped $10 credit for the issues by the manager - that can be used later with our next purchase... Honestly, that is a terrible response. Most places would just refund or significantly reduce what you've been charged instead of being given a credit that doesnt even cover a new pizza. This pizza is not Green Lantern pizza. The pizza I received was dry, undercooked and over priced. 50 dollars for 2 large with 3 toppings. The onions were not chopped up they were rings placed on top which kept falling off when you ate it. The pepperoni was flat and didn't cup up like original green lantern pizza. I ordered it online to be ready at a certain time and still had to wait 15 minutes for it. They just started to cook it when I got there and they weren't busy because there was like six people standing around. Not impressed. Had a coupon for a free one topping so we thought we would give it a try. It is by far the worst pizza I've ever had. Ordered a thin crust...when it showed up instead of pepperoni it was covered in tomato chunks. Pizza was sipping wet in grease and tomato excess that the dough fell apart. Bread was completely burnt. Ordered two pizza and boneless wings for dinner tonight. One of my pizzas was supposed to be a vegetarian with only mushroom - it came with onion, black olive, banana peppers, green pepper and mushroom. The second pizza was a square with cheese and pepperoni - this one was correct and looked good, but tasted like cardboard. By far the best Pizza around Macomb Township now. I used to go to Jet's and only Jet's. My wife and I decided to give Green Lantern a go a few months back and we were not disappointed, at all!! Their price is a little higher than other places in the area, but the price is justified by how good their pizza is. Their ingredients are fresh, which is a big thing. No mushrooms from a can at this place. I have yet to have a pizza made wrong, or been unhappy. They are always cooked well and I have yet to get a pizza with a soggy bottom from being under cooked. Their bread is amazing as well. I warn though, do not order it if you are on the verge of having a heart attack or have issues with your arteries clogging. Their bread is essentially a small pizza, with nothing but TONS of cheese melted on top and then cut into strips. It is the best bread I have had in the area since Chief's Pizza used to exist down the street. read more

Went in on a Saturday, late bout 9:30ish ordered a medium round with pepperoni, ham, hamburger, mushrooms and onion(we're a meat lovers type of family) light sauce, well done. I also asked if they can jus put a butter garlic sauce on the crust I got a "we don't do that here" mmmmkay order the sauce on the side(heck I'll put it on and sum parm cheese too!) I peeked at it before I left, wasn't done well enough, by the time I got it home tho it was completely cold(I only live 6minutes away) my thought here is their ovens aren't hot enough to bring it to a high temperature also they use canned mushrooms so it makes for a wetter pizza(also not allowing the inner core of the pizza to get really hot) the flavour was good, just the execution is a lil off. The dough was jus barely cooked through, too bad because I was having high hopes for this location. Will try it one more time .... t.b.c. UPDATE 8/24/17 Ordered medium Meat Lovers added onion & mushrooms lite sauce well done I stand corrected! This time pizza was crispier with none of the flavour comprised! Also in my order Small Cheese Bread with Bacon and yes well done here they met my expectation Hubby was Happy with that(said that every bit of the bread wad covered in BACON) nicely well done with a good crunch which made the bacon on top even crispier double points there, lastly a small Antipasto Salad extra dressing lettuce was crisp with plenty of toppings.
