Pretty good food. We ordered the crepe, fried tofu, salad spring roll with just shrimp, and seafood pho soup. The spring rolls and soup were very good and I would order those items again. The sauces that they provide are pretty good too. It would be nice if they had more veggie options. The real negative is that they still use styrofoam packaging.

Had the seafood Pho and the salad roll, both were excellent! The service was equally as good. Casual atmosphere very comfortable.

Didn't have time to research anything first but it was an overcast sky on Sept 2 and when I saw the sign for Pho Vuong I could see my name on it! It was an extensive menu with some really interesting (meaning enticing) options but I love pho and could t resist ordering the pork belly version because pork belly is one of my favourite food groups! It arrived quickly and was absolutely fresh and delish. The pork belly was SO yummy and after throwing in the peppers and sprouts and basil and lime and a bit of hoisin we were complete. So happy to have stopped here. It's my birthday weekend (or week or even month at my age) so happy to find another way to celebrate! Review is mainly so I remember this lovely place for the next time I'm passing through!

Forever stuck in crapness. The place wasn't busy, and they seated our party of 6 quickly, which was great. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before I saw why. For one, there are no Asian servers. Now, I dunno if that is normal in Canada, but here in America I've never ever been to a single Vietnamese place, out of probably hundreds, where the staff was void of ANY Asians (and to think of it, I think we were really the only Asians in the entire restaurant!). But hey, I'm open to new experiences... maybe that doesn't mean anything right?... Anyway, beyond the old dinginess of the place, which would never be a deal killer for me, the real killer was the food... ?. Pho CA$11-13: Well, most of our table got pho, and you know, it all looks the same, so I'm not sure the exact one we got, but I think it's safe to say they were all equally crappy. Most importantly, the noodles were way overcooked. Mushy stranges of rice flour. It's too bad cause the soup was actually decently flavorful and the meat was quite good--fatty and luscious. But always, a whole bowl of mushy noodles?--not really edible. 2/10 39. Com Suon Bi Cha CA$12.95 "Pork Chop, Shredded Pork & Steamed Egg": This was my order. Immediately obvious upon it being placed before me was that they used the WRONG KIND OF RICE. I've gotten Vietnamese rice plates billions of times, and the vast majority use "broken rice" which would be the most authentic. It has a very different texture that goes great with fish sauce. Unfortunately, they used standard white rice, and not only that, they added too much water making it mushy! I HATE badly cooked rice. Like how hard can it be?--you measure the rice and water, turn on the steamer... should be identical every single time. Wtf. Well, the rice was wrong and inedible. The pork chop itself was standard, but I was left hungry cause I couldn't eat the rice and one pork chop ain't gonna do it for me. 2/10 Sorry, this place was one of the worst Vietnamese restaurants I've ever been to in my life. BUT, it did have pretty good service--the waitresses were all very polite and nice to us. 1/5 #duncan #nanaimo #vancouverisland #canada #vietnamese

My expectations were low to begin with. I'm not one to brag, but I am from Los Angeles and I think…read morewe have some pretty decent pho down here. Whether you get your pho on in the Asian capital of So Cali = the 626, OC Little Saigon 714, or even in the 323/213 Koreantown/Chinatown, I'm proud to say we have some pretty legit pho restaurants available here. My journey took me to Victoria for a wedding for the weekend. The family was craving some Asian food and someone found this place merely for its close proximity from our hotel. Let's just say, it was a blessing. We had a group of about 17, so we phoned in for reservations. They were able to accommodate three separate tables that were all next to one another. This didn't bother us one bit, it's not like we needed a typical round table too all fit on. It was a Friday evening and the place was pretty filled up. With us there, the place looked happening. So if you have a big party, you may want to phone ahead so they can prepare for your arrival. The pho... I ordered #25 on their menu: rare steak, brisket, and meatballs; XL size. The portion was truly XL. At first, I thought they skimped out on the meat but little did I know that it was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The stock soup base was good (slightly on the saltier side). Doesn't matter because I always add my endless condiments regardless: sriracha sauce, hoisin sauce, an entire lime tree, and pepper. We did have to ask them for more bean sprouts/basil/lime set up. Down here, every bowl gets their own plate of this. At Green Leaf Bistro, you get one set up for the entire table. We asked and we received, no fuss. I was pretty happy the pho tasted legitimate because trust me when I tell you that I've had some pretty horrible pho in my life. It's really not that hard to screw up either. I got to sample the lemongrass chicken. Real talk, if I wasn't in the mood for some pho then I would definitely would have ordered this dish. Whatever it is that they do to that dark meat chicken, it's fan-f-ing-tastic. Whether you get it on rice or vermicelli noodles, it's darn good stuff right there especially with some nuoc mam dipping sauce. We had the #1 appetizer spring rolls to share for our table. I believe they were vegetarian. It wasn't something that was too impressive but the peanut butter dipping sauce was interesting. I just can't come to the conclusion if I enjoyed it much or not. Overall, the meal was what we needed after being out and about all day, travelling from Vancity earlier that morning. The service was friendly and they gladly brought us the many items we requested from them. The price is what you expect for being in Victoria which is slightly higher but at least the food was great. I can see myself coming back here if I'm ever in this part of the woods again.

The waiter and waitress seemed uninterested and confused about what was being offered on the menu…read more When I ordered the hot and sour soup I thought I'd get a magically amazing dish but it was terrible. Wayyyy too spicy and bland.
