What a beautiful restaurant nestled in downtown Lithonia. The service is always excellent and I'm always greeted with a smile. I typically go for lunch and eat from their hot bar. They have a salmon option with rice and 2 sides and they also have a vegetarian option for $14.99. I opted for the salmon with green beans and chickpeas and some plantains. The salmon was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The chickpeas were delicious with a hint of coconut. The green beans were well seasoned with a good amount of garlic, they were cooked well and still had a little crunch to the bite. The rice and peas paired well with everything on my plate. I love stepping into this place as it feels like a green oasis. But please note that seating is limited and they only have a large community style table and a few outdoor seats as well.

I always try to do my part and support black owned businesses and Green Love Kitchen has been on my list for a while. I'm never really on that side of town but today I was and made it my business to stop in and give them a try. Vegan spicy tuna - chickpea, celery, scallions, cilantro, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, in a tomato basil wrap. The wrap was so good. Veggie plate with rice and peas, curry chick peas, cabbage medley, and vegan Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious the vegan Mac n cheese has a hint of coconut which I never knew I needed in my Mac n cheese. The owner was friendly, and courteous I will definitely be back.

I was passing by and saw this spot and pulled over to go inside and I'm glad I did because this was really a great discovery. There's some good vegan options they have along smoothies and wellness drinks. But besides that they do serve some pretty good Caribbean food that I can't wait to try next when I go again. I would have picked up a plate but I had caught them a little bit before they closed for the day. Just something more to look forward to when I return. The Vegan Tuna Wrap I had was delicious along with the smoothie and I wound up picking up the tonic drink to take back with me.

FYI, they are only open til 7p now and when we arrived at 6p, the hot bar was completely cleared out and closed. The staff was very friendly and provided an excellent customer experience. We ate in-house, yet our food was served in to-go containers. I ordered the spicy vegan tuna wrap (A+), kale salad (A) and vegan caramel apple cake (A). The spicy vegan tuna wrap was awesome. I ordered the kale salad because I feared the wrap would not have enough greens, but surprisingly it did. The tuna salad is made from chickpeas and not soy, which is a huge positive. The wrap is filling and has a nice kick of heat. The kale salad was fresh and superb as well. Just the right amount of dressing and when I ate the leftovers the following day, it wasn't soggy. The salad has red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and a vinaigrette dressing. The caramel apple cake which is not made in-house was purchased from the refrigerated section. The cake was moist, had a proportional amount of frosting and the perfect amount of sweetness. I did try my aunt's sweet potato fries and they were really good as well. Cooked fresh to order and sprinkled with some type of seasoning blend that resembled a sweet and savory Italian seasoning blend. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely return as long as parking is not difficult. There is parallel parking on the street in this area.

Came up on this spot by accident and it was one of the best accidents I've made. I loved everything about this place...the quaintness, neosoul music and incense, the people and energy, and most of all the FOOD. Who knew vegan could be so good, well I did. I had the spicy tuna wrap and my friends had the black bean burger and sweet potato fries, all great!! We arrived around 11 so you could only order from the menu. At noon the hot bar comes out. I got the jerk mushrooms and rice and peas to go while my friends got the sweet potato casserole and collard greens. Once again, they didn't disappoint. I will definitely be making this one of my regular spots. Great place for small group meetings and just to vibe!! Support this business!

The area looked a bit rough but walking into the place, I felt welcomed. All of the food, besides one dish of fish, which is kept separate from the other dishes, is vegan! The gentleman that was at the register and I got into conversation and he was super cool to speak with. I got the plantains, green beans, mushrooms, and greens, plus rice. There wasn't room to sit at the time I went because there was a large group at the table, but that was fine. The food and service made up for it completely

I chose this place because my wife is on a vegan journey, plus this was a lunch date for after her Mother's Day gift. We arrived to be greeted by an enthusiastic young man. The interior was clean and not very many seated. We had not visited before, so he gave us a brief rundown of how to order and what was on the menu. We both ordered a veggie plate and decided to eat outside, since it was such a nice day. My wife did not like the jerk mushrooms with yellow rice, but she raves about the green beans and broccoli. She also didn't care for the plantains. I really liked the green beans and plantains. The rice with jerk mushrooms just didn't taste good to me. The sweet potatoes had too much nutmeg for me. I gave a star each for the service and half a star for what I liked and another half for my wife's food. We probably won't visit again, but that doesn't mean others won't like their food.

Do not go here!!! I am a firm believer of supporting black owned business especially owned and operated by AFRICAN-AMERICANS!! But, this establishment was far below standards. This business is extremely UNSANITARY. There was a long line so I noticed a huge buzzing black fly over the OPENED food buffet without lids! Gross!! The cashier knew there was a fly because as he was taking care of a customer he was trying to swat the fly away from the buffet section. So then when he was cashing out the customer, of course the black fly had free reign over the buffet food because there wasn't any lids. Then, when a customer order a smoothie, THEY BULK BLEND THE SMOOTHIE, and leave the left over smoothie in the blender WITHOUT THE LIDS!! Gross again!! So you have lids to blend the smoothie, leave the lid on the smoothie blender to protect it from open elements. This is the only business that bulk blend the smoothies and charge the customer for a smoothie when a smoothie blend is left open on the counter until purchased. Usually an establishment has specific recipes so food is not contaminated and wasted. I ordered two burgers and the smoothie. The kitchen is totally hidden so I have no idea how sanitary the kitchen is if there was a giant black fly buzzing over the buffet food landing on the serving spoon crawling down inside in one of the buffet food holders. I asked the cashier/chef "you don't make smoothies fresh"? He responded very aggressively and arrogantly "I just made it" I'm thinking "I stood in line for 30 min and seen when you blended that smoothie and it sat uncovered for 15 min" But I vocally responded with just a "okay" and smiled. This business is very unsanitary and will not return and warn everyone I know not to eat here. The burgers I ate was good but had way too much mustard and after it was digested, it gave me loose stools. Maybe because the kitchen probably wasn't clean. I'm speculating though because it's completely closed off from observation. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!! read more

The food was fresh and the people were friendly. It was a little pricier than I had expected but the food was still good. I had the Wild Atlantis Tuna Wrap w/ Sweet Potato Fries. The Wrap was a nice size with plenty of creamy Tuna, although I felt $10 for a tuna wrap was a little steep. My favorite though was the Sweet Potato Fries. They definitely got those down. They were flavorful but not greasy. I would definitely get those again if I go back. In all I paid $15.93 for a Tuna Wrap, SP Fries and a Bottled Water. That's a little rich for my lunch budget but it was delicious. If it were $5 cheaper I would give it 5-Stars. I may stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

I love GLK! The staff is friendly and family oriented. I usually order the kale wrap (YUM) or if I'm in the mood for a soulful taste I'll get food from their hot bar which is usually Mac & cheese, chickpeas, greens, and marinated jerk mushrooms. OMG. I love it! read more

I finally got to stop by Green Love Kitchen. I couldn't decide between the Black Bean Burger or the Vegan Tuna Wrap.... so I ended up listening to a friend and I got the Vegan Tuna Wrap. Usually, I make my own with chickpeas, vegan mayo, mustard powder, dill, pink Himalayan sea salt, red onion, and pickles and I believe their recipe is similar... only set back I had was the overwhelming taste of celery and the few bits of brown spring mix in my wrap. It was still good.... maybe I am biased to my own. One thing that I LOVED were their smoothies! The inside of the restaurant has a really chill vibe. They had incense burning in the background with air purifying plants right at the front. The energy was amazing! I will definitely be back to try the burger and a dessert. FYI: The pricing is a little high for sides to be purchased separately, but the portions were good. read more

This is a family own business that's really taking off. Their menu is simple. They have a hot bar with vegetables, regular and vegan Mac N Cheese, salmon and vegan protein. You can also order vegan wraps and burgers. Everything is made fresh and they have an assortment of juices and desserts. The shop has a small dine in area. Street parking is limited but was easy the three times I've been there. The staff is friendly and professional. My most recent visit the chef owner gave me a sample of Sorrel that she just made. I have eaten at this establishment over 3 times and every single time, i have been very satisfied with the food. Not only the taste and the flavor but with the quality also. The customer service is very outstanding and the food comes out fairly quick. I love the drinks and the healthy options that also have great taste to them. Definitely 5 stars in my book. The food is great and the service is good. The restaurant does not have indoor seating due to COVID but there is patio dining. Also, there is free street parking. I had the vegan tuna wrap with a side of fries. It was very tasty and a nice fulfilling portion. My husband had the black bean burger which he loved. I tasted the black bean burger and it was very flavorful. In addition to the above, we ordered the Caribbean salmon with curry chickpeas and sweet potato (a purée/whip texture), and rice and peas to go and it was very flavorful and tasty. Lastly, the Vibranium smoothie was delicious! There are some seeds in the smoothie but I didn't mind and it let me know everything was fresh! read more

I was unsure if I'd be able to find healthy and quality food outside of Downtown Atlanta, and I'm so happy to have found, Green Love Kitchen -- what a surprise and delight. Although their menu is limited, what they do offer is incredibly fresh, healthy and tasty. I love that you know exactly what you're eating, and that it's good for you, and the chef's share those values. I would definitely return. read more

Tucked away in Lithonia is this gem of a restaurant that you'll get FRIENDLY and welcoming service along with the sounds of soothing music in the background while you appreciate and value the quality, taste, freshly made food and juices!!.. This is a beautiful peace delicious healthy eating on the east side. Lithonia is better for having this place. I had the thai kale wrap and it was FANTASTIC and huge. Also had the sweet potatoe fries, vegan mac & cheese (best vegan mac I've had), and sautéed okra. I can't wait to come back. I've driven past this place several times and finally dropped in woth a coworker. I had the salmon with chickpeas and fresh green beans and it was the best meal I've had in a long time. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the flavor was incredible. My coworker had the same reaction to her meal as well. Decent sized portions and great flavor. I spent $20 for a meal from the hot plate and a ginger mango juice. The juice was strong. They add sugar so it's sweet but if you juice for nutritional purposes like I do, the sugar may throw you off slightly. Overall nice experience if you're looking for a change from the other unhealthy options in lithonia and have a $20 bill to spare read more

I've had this place on my radar for a minute. This visit was the best adventure ever. After being grumpy, beyond hungry and not satisfied w anything I ate today. I decided to give this spot a try. Parking is tricky, I found a spot in the lot behind them. Even though I'm the queen of parallel parking there were no spots on the street. You walk in to the most pleasant smells, of herbs, spices and probably incense. It's a warm and inviting place. All of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the south side special w fries and pineapple ginger drink. Yesss, yesss, and yesss. Although they rang me up wrong they fixed it wo any issue. Call ahead if your in a hurry. If not this food is made to order, it's fresh, tasty and more than worth the wait. My wrap was the best I've ever had in life. Sweet potato fries were sensational. The sauce the flavor had me licking my arm. I can't wait to go back. The best vegan sandwich I've ever had. But I am sure even non vegans would enjoy this place. read more

There's a fully stacked bar with a majority of the top shelf alcohol options; simply missing Casamigos. There's an ATM available which my cousins and I frequently used. At the end of the night, there was a handful of food options to choose from prior to the kitchen closing. The oxtail meal (rice and beans with cabbage) and jerk soup were delicious. You're welcome to pay your tab via Cash app. Although I will never return here, I appreciate the experience and the fact that this venue was in close proximity from our AirBnB.

The owner of the space is always there and helping out his team. The kitchen stays open pretty late and the food is really good and comes out fast. I also love the bartenders, they make the best drinks. Lots of ample parking as well and free!

Review for Green Love Kitchen (Takeout Experience): I recently ordered takeout from Green Love Kitchen, and while the food was just okay, I have to commend the staff for their exceptional customer service. The energy and friendliness of the staff were truly delightful and made my experience more enjoyable. However, I must mention that I found some issues with the food itself. The plantains in my order were overcooked, resulting in a less-than-desirable texture. Unfortunately, this affected my overall enjoyment of the dish. Additionally, the salmon, which was supposed to be a coconut curry, had a hint of sweetness to it. As someone who doesn't prefer sweet flavors, this was a bit disappointing for me. Wow! I'm so disappointed! I'm really tired of supporting black businesses. Why are the staff always RUDE? No greeting when I walk in. No words when I'm ready to order. No communication. What do you have a cashier for? For all of this I can order on a screen!! The boy with the short dreads & bandana was so dry & rude! They are called "Green Love Cafe" but I didn't get any love! He waved my food at me when it was ready but came around the counter to hand a man his food. WTF!!! The food doesn't even taste like it was made with love. It was good but not good enough to make up For the attitude & horrible service. Waiting 30 minutes for a raw kale wrap & half portion of sweet potato fries. The place is advertised as vegetarian & vegan but they serve seafood. My wrap & fries were way SMALLER than the photos on yelp. They were out of regular fries. They show organic ketchup on yelp but had regular Heinz. I asked for organic ketchup they told me that the GMO Heinz Ketchup Packets were organic. Like hello! I'm a health food nutritionist. I went to this restaurant out of loyalty for the owners but feel in love all at the same time. The service was on point from the beginning from the restaurant servers. I ordered the Green Love vege burger with sweet potatoe fries, OH MY, what a delight. Cooked fresh when order to perfection just the way I liked without asking. My second time visiting--I was there years ago before they remodeled. This time I went after work on Friday, June 21. Ordered the hot bar--greens, jerk mushrooms, rice, sweet potatoes. So much food! I ate on it for 3 days. The service was friendly and the young lady who served me suggested I try the sweet potato pound cake; I'm so glad she did! It was amazing. Very delicious food and atmosphere. I ordered the salmon and cabbage /rice. Very yummy! I would come back and possibly eat on the cute patio that they have. Again the atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant was very nice - they played good music and the food was delicious and healthy. They had many vegan options that I had never even heard of - but I chose the salmon because I love seafood. I believe that is the only meat that they serve.
