4 oz. Okra and Stew Sauce

Finally tried fufu and okra soup!! The server was super friendly and the whole place had a warm, family-like vibe. I ordered on Uber Eats for pickup, and they were just as welcoming when I arrived. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes next time!

Broad daylight and got violated and it was a dude in a Bentley truck. He came in and ask was it our car, setup maybe

The food was decent we intended to eat there and take food to go. During that time our car window was broken out and items stolen. The portions were small maybe if we ate there it would have been larger. It took awhile for the food to be prepared. The location had nice decor I noticed more people ordering to go orders. Total was almost 80$, dude didn't even give a discount with us waiting almost 2 hours and the whole car thing. He was good at finessing us to try this try that. I'm really only interested in red stew, wish I knew someone that could make me a large amount at a good price

Southern Suya was okay. When walking in, there was a line which was cool it gave me more time to make my final decision on what to eat. Orders for takeout and dine in are taken at the counter and you find anywhere to sit for dine in. First sign of things being off was when I was going to select my receipt option the lady at the front quickly selected no receipt for me when I wanted a receipt. The restaurant gives an event space aesthetic, dark event space ( black ceiling), but none the less event space vibe. Our order took about 20 minutes to arrive, not too long , and the food was good. The fish was cooked to perfection, flavor explosion. The egusi stew was good, I've received bigger portions at other restaurants and an accompanying bowl of water to eat the stew. I had to ask many times for napkins that I never received. As well as a Togo container for my food. I wish they gave you a plastic Togo container for stew instead of styrofoam. Styrofoam leaks stew. Overall the food is cool with ample free parking.

They do not do dine in. We came all the way from Atlanta to try this twice, and the food was on point both times. We had the grilled fish, goat, egusi stew, yam. All of it on point.

Great food and loved the chill vibes of the restaurant. Being Nigerian, I am critical of trying other people's food but this did not disappoint! Will definitely be returning.

The food here was mind blowing. So much flavour in every single item we had. The stew sauce was my favourite.

Absolutely loved the food and environment. Even though I was unable to dine in and had to order curbside the employees were patient and helpful. This was my first time trying Nigerian food. I was determined to try the TikTok craze fufu and egusi stew. Once ordered it took about 20 minutes to prepare as it was freshly made to order. When brought out I had the pleasure of talking with the employee who was Nigerian. She welcomed me to trying their popular dish and shared some of her heritage with me and my boys. Next time I visit Atlanta I will love to stop back by.

Ok the meat pie, freshly baked dough (amazing) meat and veggies inside I didn't care for a certain spice used, it kind of overpowered the dish. I ended up taking out the meat and just eating the dough which I give 5 stars and would order again by itself. The Jallof had great seasoning and pepper I'm not Nigerian but I loved it. The suya also had great season but the texture was not like Suya I've had in the past. Granted, I did come in late for a to-go order but the suya didn't have that freshly made crunch that I love. I actually know for a fact the food was reheated which I'm neither here nor there about but because of freshness and texture wasn't the best meal I've had. I did like the flavor and I liked the raw onions that accompanied the Suya but overall wasn't Ike's (sorry). Customer service was spot on though, food came out quick (freshly microwaved), plenty of parking and overall good vibe inside. Maybe I will try earlier on in the day to get that crispy fresh Suya that makes my mouth water. Thanks for feeding me though because I was starving that night!

It's been a few years since I've dined at Marlow's, but their HH deals brought me in. I sat at the bar, and maybe they were in the middle of a shift change bc it took a while to get greeted and service throughout my experience was slow. I had to wave them down, ask for refills instead of the bartender being diligent. The bar was full, but at one point I saw one of the bartenders texting, so they had time to check on guests. I'm also in the service industry , so I may notice these things more than the average person. Anyways, their happy hour is one of the best I've come across. $5 margs & $6 old fashions to highlight a few items. I love a happy hour with food AND drinks. The food here is still as solid as I remember. I had the kettle chips and wings. Wings were not sauced, but very crispy and came with dipping sauce on the side. The chips were hella good! Crispy and the toppings were great. I had those two appetizers, 3 margs and a creme brûlée for under $40! That's a win, this will be one of my go-to spots for sure.

It took at least 5 minutes to be recognized by a host and then several more before we were seated, even though there were plenty of open tables. We should have left at that point, but we stayed hoping that the server experience would be much better. Then it took some time for the server to come around so, in the meantime, our party planned on our entree item selections to give to the server when she arrived to ask about our drinks, tell about specials, etc. Server writes down our order. 10 minutes + pass and no waters. My girlfriend noticed the server immediately went to clean a table after taking our order. ???? We designated a time that we were going to leave if there was no drinks, and then we left when the time came. On a lesser note, the place has plenty of TVs. We went to watch the second half of a college basketball game (University of North Carolina vs Dook) on ESPN, a basic cable network, and none of the TVs had the game on. No big deal. But when the server came to take our order, we also requested that she put the tv closest to us on the UNC/Dook game. 10 minutes + pass and I was still watching it on my phone as she never changed the channel. Anyway. 20-25 minutes total. Many delays and excuses. 0 Stars. 1 will have to do for. We went to Brockett Pub, three miles down the road. We were acknowledged and served quickly, they put the game on, we had a wonderful meal, and Carolina won. All's well that ends well, but never again here.

We quickly found a spot up front and entered. Nobody was at the host podium for a minute and then someone came around and greeted us warmly. We let him know we would like a table for three outside. He said that would not be a problem, handed us menus and said head outside to pick our table. After a few minutes our very friendly server, Patricia, came out to greet us. We quickly reviewed the beverages.. I was happy to see they had an extensive beer selection. I ordered a Creature Comfort Bigger Dreams, Wifey ordered a Mango Cart and my daughter ordered a Kingston Peach frozen drink. The drinks came out quickly and then we were pretty much ready to order our food. Wifey ordered Barbecue Nachos with turkey. I ordered 10 wings, all drums, with a mixture of 2 flavors: the Peach BBQ and Pineapple Chipotle. I picked Tatter Tots as my side. My daughter ordered the Sweet Heat Salmon bowl. She said they had her at "Coconut Rice" in the dish description. We sat outside and I noticed there were TVs everywhere. Perfect set up for a warm afternoon. Before we knew it, the food was coming out. I loved my wings and was happy with the flavors I chose. Wifey commented her nachos could've been a little warmer, but she really enjoyed them. I tasted a corner and agreed they were very good. My daughter could not stop raving about her Salmon Bowl. The coconut rice lived up to her expectations and brought everything together. We were finishing up our food and were ready to close out the bill. The problem was our server was nowhere to be found. We waited and waited, I eventually had to wave down another server to find her and let her know we were ready for the bill. We still waited and waited and then I had to go inside and wave her down myself to let her know we wanted a couple togo boxes and the check. This place was a solid 4 to 4.5 before all the trouble chasing down our server. Even though service fell off at the end of our visit, Patricia was nice when she was around and my daughter was still raving about that bowl hours later. She ate the whole thing. She thought she was gonna have enough to pack it up, but while waiting for our server she kept picking at it and next thing we knew it was all gone. Overall a mixed bag but more good than bad and I would return when in the area. 3.5 Rating

Looks a little sketchy from outside and surrounding area, but don't worry it's a good place! Discovered this place via yelp, searching for a dinner location anout halfway between Decatur and Lawrenceville, as we were meeting friends and neither of us wanted to travel too far. Seeking economical choice with good food & drinks. Mission accomplished here! Wasn't our first choice. Dining on a Monday is hard, as so many restaurants are closed. But it turned out to be an excellent choice, as we loved our apps, drinks and meals. Had a nice size table with plenty of room in the quieter dining area in the back, away from the bar and TVs. There are TVs in back area as well, just not as many. Started with the nachos with beef chili, and the blackened brussel sprouts. Both were delicious and gone quickly! I had the cheeseburger salad. After all this deep fried, heavy southern food and grits, wanted something a little lighter. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Huge plate for a side dish. Others had various wraps, and everyone loved their meals. Good tap beer selection. We had a variety of cold ones. If you're in the area looking for a good local, affordable place to have a meal or drinks, pick this spot. Its family friendly as well.

Occasionally when seated out on the patio my partner and I have waited a while for food or to see our server, but the food is always tasty. I don't fault the servers for this, they're all really accommodating, sometimes it's just that busy! The drinks are also consistently strong & delicious, our favorites are the Mason Jar Margarita and the Tucker Tea (bourbon & sweet tea). The prices for cocktails are excellent and I hope that doesn't change any time soon. For eats, my partner gets the Steak and Frites, and would like people to know that if you tell this kitchen you want it rare, it'll be very rare bordering on bloody, so if you want on the rare side without it mooing, order medium rare. The Fish & Chips are good, but I usually go for the chicken tenders because they're tender and well-seasoned, and the fries are really good too. I get it with the delicious house-made ranch. When I indulge in an appetizer it's the basket of fried jalapeños that pair great with the aforementioned ranch and is a great portion to share with friends. If you aren't into the spicy vibe you can get a basket that's half jalapeños, half pickles which is equally tasty. I've brought plenty of people here and from the salads to the burgers, they've been consistently happy with the food. For desserts, they change daily- check the big chalkboard on the wall for the day's offerings. They source them from Southern Sweets Bakery so you know they're delicious. Parking is a little iffy but not terrible, you have the options of Main St, the parking lot around back, or the strip of parking across the street and between those options it tends to be fairly easy to find a free spot. Give them a shot!

We had been in this part of Decatur many times and I never heard of it. We took the quick 5 minute ride over and I realized we had passed it many times. I think it had a different name last I noticed. As we approached I noticed the nice sized parking lot. A quick estimate, it could hold about 40 - 50 cars. I quickly found an open spot and walked over to the entrance. We entered and I could see the host walking toward us. He greeted us warmly, we let him know we were a party of 2 and preferred to sit outside. He informed us we could head out there and pick our own seat. We walked through the dark interior and headed outside using the side door. We found a table at the end of the patio near the front of the restaurant. There was plenty of outside seating on their patio and many of the tables were covered or had an umbrella. It was a little cooler than I expected so I ran back over to the car to pick up my jacket. I returned to the table and our friendly server came by and asked if we were ready to order. We were happy to see they had an extensive beer menu and I chose the Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA from Hi-Wire brewing and Wifey ordered the Harp Lager. For food, we kept it simple and decided to share the Pork Nachos appetizer. Our waters came out next, and then the beers came out soon after. As we were hanging around and enjoying the patio I noticed the place was very dog friendly. The Pork Nachos arrived and were excellent. It was not a huge portion, but the perfect size for what we were looking for. The chips were crispy and the pulled pork was seasoned well. All the ingredients worked well together. We would definitely recommend the nachos if you visit Wheelhouse. Overall, this was a very good experience during our 1st visit here and we will definitely return when in the area.
