Then I met with Dalet briefly after Carmen left. Dalet went over all the details again and thoroughly explained the process. She was very professional and pleasant. Then Lena took over for the rest of the times. Lena was very helpful, detail-oriented, and kind. She was also very meticulous and made sure I had everything I needed at each visit. She prepared the room neatly and made it cozy before I came, with all my favorites (TV channel, beverage, blanket, etc.). Thank you Lena for being so caring. You're awesome! From the first appointment, she took her time addressing all of my skin concerns and carefully looked at several moles I was worried about. She answered every question with calmness and clarity and never made me feel rushed. Her staff is also very thoughtful and caring and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I've since brought my toddler in to have a birthmark evaluated and will be switching my husband over to her as well. She recently removed a suspicious mole for me and the entire procedure was smooth. She helped keep me at ease through what can be a nerve racking situation. Moles can present differently on darker skin tones, so it's important to have a dermatologist who understands how to evaluate different skin types. The service here is not acceptable when I don't have another care option unless I switch medical groups, which I might just have to do. I am not impressed whatsoever in the staff and the careless attitude toward paying patients and customers.

Not a very knowledgeable doctor…read more I came here due to a bad allergic skin reaction, after looking at my skin, he gave me some steroid cream to apply topically. A day later, my skin became 20 times worse, it went from beige to bright red and the hives started to fuse together and swelling up to the point my skin was deformed. In addition, this cream was suppose to be anti itch bit it made me itch a thousand times more intense, I couldn't focus at work during the day and couldn't get any sleep at night. I called their office and his NP called me back and told me it had nothing to do with the cream and to continue to use it. Luckily for me I have 2 really good friends who are dermatologists but they both live in different states. I did get to see one of them in vegas a few days after this incident and after looking at my skin, my friend informed me that Dr Mckenzie had prescribed me the wrong cream. He explained to me briefly the different classes of topical steroids and how I needed a much higher class. I got a prescription from my friend and my skin healed within a few days. I had 2 of my nurse friends look at my skin as well and they both recommended the Kenalog shot for my condition. I think most patients are ill informed and have no concept of the level of competency of a physician. I always suggest getting a second opinion or a third opinion.
