Dr. Katherine Lee was wonderful! Our first telehealth appointment was easy to set up, and uploading photos through the patient portal was simple. She quickly identified my son's white skin blotches, asked a few targeted questions, and sent prescriptions to our pharmacy right away. We saw improvement within the two weeks she expected. At our follow-up, she confirmed everything was healing well, recommended continuing a topical cream to help prevent the condition from returning, and also helped treat my son's acne with a better face wash. Dr. Lee's practice is extremely clean and modern. I've been coming to see her for almost 2 years now and I will not go to any other dermatologist. Her medical assistants are pleasant and make me feel comfortable when I am receiving my care. Dr. Lee has great bedside manner and remembers her patients well. She is thoughtful and allows the patient to have a say in their treatment. I can't recommend a better dermatology practice. Dr. Lee does a good job with Botox muscle paralyzer and Voluma filler, but I worry that some of the cosmetics she sells are not proven to work and are merely "Hope in a Jar." Another local dermatologist who refuses to do cosmetic dermatology or sell products and who does skin cancer disease detection and treatment only, said the ONLY cosmetic clinically proven to improve skin is "Retinol" and that buying any other cosmetic to try to improve skin is a waste of $. I worry that any Dermatologist who gets to far afield selling cosmetics, counter potions and creams may focus more on profits than skin disease detection and the other aspects of a legitimate medical practice. But I'll still give her a Yelp "5" because of the artistry she uses when injecting the aforementioned clinically-proven products. No one should buy anything not "clinically" proven (and I don't mean by some kangaroo panel of jurists or a vapid "influencer.") read more

Run away as fast as you can from this place and the doctor. A month ago, I got the authorization to see the doctor due to an urgent matter related to suspicious moles. As soon as I called, the office rep told me that she would call me on Monday as it was Friday (?!) Nobody called me on Monday. I contacted them several times by text messaging. They said to me that a different doctor's name was on the Authorization. However, this was not true. I have the paper with Lee's name on it. They gave me exactly 1-month run-around. Today, I called them and their receptionist told me that the authorization under that number did not exist and he referred me to call my PCP. After my PCP called their office, they told me that they "discharged" me (?!) How low can people go? If you do not want to accept me as your patient, tell me that at once. I have urgent issues that need to be addressed promptly. During this wasted month I could set up an appointment with another doctor and get my pressing medical issues addressed. This shows how indifferent to the patients' needs and how unprofessional are Katherine Lee and her crew. Run away from cold-hearted people like them as fast as you can! read more

This review is for Dr. Lee. I scheduled an appointment with her and I felt extremely rushed. I had three minutes with her and she kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain my issue. These are genuine health concerns and it's concerning when a physician is being dismissive one minute into the conversation. Her answers are terse and not explanatory. I prefer the NP's because they always explain and caution me about certain instructions/risks. read more

I have had a couple 'emergency' dermatology issues come up this summer. Dr. Lee and her staff were able to get me an appointment quickly so i was not bothered by them for long. The staff is very professional and friendly (I'm talking front staff to the Medical Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners). The facility is clean and beautiful! When i came in for a sudden hives i was seen by the NP. She treated me very politely and she went above and beyond even after i left the office. She i informed me about some research she did, reaching out to Dr's to get their opinions etc to make sure she hadn't missed anything (with all i have going on this was music to my ears). Dr Lee and her staff listened to my concerns of a certain spot another visit. She not only looked at my concerned area but over multiple places to make sure she did not miss any area that could be a concern later. They canceled my appointment twice now. I have the same insurance but now one of them doesn't claim me as primary so they decided to cancel it and call the wrong number to tell me that the same morning and I've been waiting so long. I wanted to cry after finding out. They couldn't even find a way to still book me and Have me fox my situation. I will Never even attempt to come back here again. Best dermatologist my wife and I have ever been to. I used to go to Cedars in LA, but since buying a second home in OC, I was looking for good doctors. I found one at this practice! Dr. Lee really knows her stuff and has great bedside manner. The nurse, Phyllis, is a joy. She follows up immediately and is very knowledgable. Everyone at this dermatology center is top notch. My wife and I both felt we were in really good hands here. A bonus: There's a low-end mall across the street where my wife got to do a little shopping. After that, we had lunch at BJ's pizza (gotta love the name). I'd honestly say I am a relatively young, healthy person but when it came to certain spots w/ my skin it left me self conscious and physically uncomfortable. Growing up I had episodes of what I only now know as an adult as episodes or dermatitis to say generally. Only recently in the last few years truly have I begun to really take a better charge of my skin health and all related to it. I have seen other doctors and experienced other offices and had difference insurances per coverage but it was not until Dr. Lee and the entire team that I finally felt like like I found a place I could really place my trust in. They did not just give me a prescription but they gave me such respect and showed such kindness. Because of Dr. Lee's attention I have shown incredible tremendous improvement on a patch of what I call a psoriasis flare up on my knuckles (it literally lasted over a year and a half before I saw Dr. Lee, i was hopeless before her team). She listened to my concerns before just giving just any prescription where the side effects would worry me . Even went above and beyond to address other issues in relation to even potential psoriatic arthritis and so much more.. basically what I am saying is this office shows true concern and attention to their patients or at least this has been my experience for sure... We were referred to Dr Lee by our PCP and saw Dr Lee for a consultation as my 18 year old Daughter has acne. Dr. Lee was professional and went over all options of treatment, one of which was a medication called spirolactone which it was decided that my daughter would not go on because she has an already low baseline blood pressure and this medication can affect blood pressure, the problem I had was when my daughter returned a month later she saw a PA who told her that it was decided that she would go on that very medication, my daughter was very confused and explained to the PA what was discussed with Dr Lee who then checked the chart and saw notes indicating our decision to NOT use that medication. My concern is that had my daughter not spoke up she would've been prescribed that medication and taken it! Now my other concern is I am not comfortable with PA's managing patient care, we have had bad luck in the past with this and I was unhappy to find that a majority of the time it would be a PA that would see my daughter and Not THE DOCTOR. Not to mention having a PA manage someone on a medication like Accutane OR Spirolactone or any other meds for acne is very dicey at best. So as a result of this we have gone out of network and are paying out of pocket to see a Dermatologist that will be the ONE PERSON WHO IS THE DOCTOR MANAGING MY DAUGHTERS CARE not a PA and seeing her more than the once a month appointment. If you can see the Doctor each and every time you go then try them out. read more

I saw Dr Kathy Lee for a Vanquish treatment on my stomach area. Everyone at her office was friendly and professional so I was very comfortable there. Dr Lee has been so helpful with not only myself, but my children. The office is new clean and inviting. Her nurses and staff are also pleasant and really strive to make you feel comfortable when you need it. I have been going through a lot of unknown causes for my skin reactions and she has been helpful in me narrowing down sources of the problem and trying to be comforting when I get upset. Horrible customer service. I am a current patient, having seen the doctor once before. I stopped by the office to talk to someone on my lunch break. I arrived at 12:45 pm. Signage says they close at 1:00 pm for lunch. I spent 15 minutes downstairs because a very nice security guard said the office staff wouldn't let anyone upstairs. He communicated via computer with them 3 times in my presence. Are they running a marijuana dispensary out of the dermatology clinic? Why do they need security? What a frustrating waste of my lunch hour, and a poor way to make a current patient feel unwelcome and unwanted. Unbelievable. read more
