As shady as this place looks, (one flight upstairs and massage tables only separated by curtains) the girls here give a really great massage if you're looking for a no-frills, deep pressure massage. Some girls will even get up on the pole and walk on your back. You'll love it (even though it'll be hard to breathe through it) if you have frequent back pain from walking all over the city. Super shady atmosphere made me wonder if this was a "happy ending" spot. The row of girls sitting at the front on a long couch that spans one wall, looking like little Asian deers in the headlights, didn't help either, but I was in desperate need of some relaxation and bodywork and only had a little time before my next appointment, so I said...what the heck, let's see what happens. I went for the 30-minute reflexology/foot massage for $25. The one guy in the place, who was behind the desk when I entered, did my session. He took me to an area that had curtains separating areas where very old and beat up reflexology chairs were and invited me in. On the plus side, the chair reclined to nearly horizontal and I promptly took a 30-minute nap... The massage/reflexology itself was ok. I was trying to decide if he knew what he was doing because I've had far better reflexology before, but at the end of the session, I felt as relaxed as when I've had the "good" or "better" reflexology. So despite the very pedestrian looks of the place, I dunno, their services may be decent, but I can only speak for the reflexology. The place smelled vaguely of gerbil. The wall to wall carpeting was dirty and probably ancient. Low lights, weird dark and dingy entrance, and overall shady atmosphere makes it highly unlikely I'll return even though I walk by this place a lot, which is why I went in in the first place... read more

I decided to find a place to relieve my achy joints from sitting at my desk all day and found this place. If you're looking for a spa experience set with New Age music, candles, aromatherapy, and hot stones, this is not your place. It was more like a cozy apartment that was transformed into a massage parlor. Upon arriving, I couldn't help but wonder if I had accidentally ended up at a joint that provided "more than massages." The clients who I saw walk in and out were all men, and the four female employees who were sitting in the lobby looked at me then looked at one another. The massage was okay. There was some portions that seemed more like groping than massaging. The massage table I was on must have had uneven legs because it kept on squeaking with each move. Not that it would have disrupted me since I already kept on hearing groaning noises from two male customers through the curtains separating each room (exasperating my thoughts of it being more than a massage place. I asked my masseuse to use the hardest pressure and I didn't make a peep). I felt lighter afterwards but the next day, my shoulders and neck were in more pain than before. In addition, their credit card machine didn't work and an employee accompanied downstairs to an ATM machine to withdraw cash. They were very apologetic about it though.... my credit cards better not have been charged 6x. Tl;dr - Very nice employees, kind of sketchy atmosphere, okay massages. I went in there because I was in desperate need of a massage. The masseuse I get can hardly speak English. She takes me into a room and gives little to no instructions and then leaves for 2 mins. I presumed that I was meant to take off my clothes, so I did and when she returned she began the massage. 5 minutes in she asks me to take off my underwear which I thought was a bit weird but I knew some people get you to do this. My uncomfortable feeling was made worse when she went on to massage my butt. So this is when it starts to get real classy. With 20 minutes to go she asks me to turn over. I turn over hesitantly with just a sheet covering my genitals. The lady says "massage your chest?", I go "yeah that's fine I guess". But this isn't a massage, this is her lightly touching around my nipples and then moving her hand way too close to my meat and 2 veg. She then says something which I'm not entirely sure was English and goes to put her hand on my package, before she got to it I said "no no I don't want a happy ending" she then proceeds to say "you can finish it yourself if you want?". I say "no thanks" and she says "your girlfriend would be angry?". Ummmm I'm thinking at this point where the hell have I come. I seriously should of just walked out. Then she has the audacity to say $52 for the massage and $40 tip. I mean that is absolutely ridiculous but I pay because I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. My advice to you is to stay well clear from this place if you are a male, unless of course you feel like being violated by a person who is meant to be professional. The fact that Green Massage is neighbor to many of the porno shops on 37th street should have been my first red flag. Trying to keep an open mind, I walked up to this dump, took a deep breathe and went up a flight of stairs leading me to their...having trouble finding the right word.. "room." Keeping a close eye on my purse the entire time, I stripped down to my thong and tried to think positively. I swear I got bed bugs from their massage towels and I felt the whole massage experience to be very odd. Particularly, when the woman decided to pull my thong all the way to my knees to massage my ass. I wanted to say, "Lady, is the string thong REALLY in you're way?!" I have been going to this place for the last 4 years. It's not a fancy massage parlor, but I can guarantee you a great massage. The price is not expensive, $52 for an hour massage. You can go on their website and print out a coupon for 10% off for Saturday and Sunday. They also have a frequent customer program. If you paid for 10 massages, you get the 11th one for free. However, there is not too much privacy. The place is this big room with drape dividers. You can hear pretty much everything going on around you. I don't mind it much because I just fall asleep and everything gets tone out. If you are worry, bring a pair of ear plugs with you. I highly recommend this place. I have to write a review. My boyfriend and I look for a chinese massage place in each new neighborhood that we have moved. Our standard: Green Massage. The ladies here don't speak English, and I have to admit I was way sketched out the first time when we walked up the stairs into a room filled with curtains separating the beds. But the massage is amazing. You will walk out feeling lighter, and you won't be able to stay away. We have earned quite a few free massages with their frequent customer cards. I never felt uncomfortable or wondered if there were yucky things going on in the curtains on either side. Often I fell into a sleep like state as the woman massaged the knots out. Awful. I had the start of a migraine, so I called and made an appointment...she didn't even take my name before hanging up on me. When I got there, a girl was trying to tell me I had to wait 20 mins or she could do it...that was one of the most confusing conversations I've ever had. When I made the appointment I specifically asked for one where the girls walk on your back to stretch you out, but she obviously didn't understand what I was saying because she said she could do it, but then she didn't. About 20 mins into the massage, she had walked out of the room twice, and through the curtain walls I could hear a guy ask a girl for a 30 minute [opens belt buckle]. The girl said "oh no not that kind of place", so at least I know that did not happen! But still...ew. I really don't know what the negative reviews are about. I went to Green as a walk-in on my way home from work, with no appointment, and only waited about 15 minutes. The stairway looked nicely painted, well-lit, and had a planter at the top of the stairs. The porn places mentioned in one of the reviews, are several buildings away and are unnoticed. What you will notice are several hotels directly across the street, with a new one being built. Yes, you can hear other massages in the room, but I was so zoned-out from one of the best massages I've ever received, that it didn't phase me in the least. My technician found all of my knots (mostly in my upper back), and worked them out completely. She asked me if I wanted medium or hard pressure, and when I asked for medium, she was spot-on! In fact, I paid almost twice as much for a rub at Massage Envy, which was ok, but not as good. It's been several weeks now, and my back still feels great. For $52 bucks, I recommend this place highly. read more

My husband and I usually go to Asia Tui Na on 18th street, and love it- but we wanted to try something closer to our apartment. I was nervous going to a new place, but it was awesome! The place is dimly lit, which didn't give me the best initial impression, but who cares when you can get a great massage for 52 bucks.
