    Come on in!

My lady and I were craving some sushi, and my lady's workplace had ordered from here before, so we thought we'd stop by for a lunch fix. I'd been to their other location but not this one. Still I was just as impressed here as I was there. Great service, delicious food, and a very laid back atmosphere. We stopped by around 1pm on Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. We asked to sit outside and our server was perfectly okay with that. Their menu was bigger than I remembered and had lots of tasty Thai and sushi options. They also have great lunch specials daily. We started with a couple appetizers, the summer rolls and a fresh roll with shrimp, along with a bottle of Junmai Living Jewel sake. The rolls were excellent, especially the fresh roll, which was like a a fresh crisp salad wrapped in rice paper. The peanut sauce that came with it was tremendous. Then we ordered three sushi rolls; one spicy salmin roll, one temple roll, and one Philadelphia roll with spicy mayo. The rolls came out pretty quickly and all three were excellent. It was tough to pick a favorite because they were all great and so fresh. The sake paired very well with them too. Our server was very friendly and attentive, checking up on us several times. This may be my new go-to for Thai and sushi. We love that it's so close to where we live now and is so good. There are many good Thai/sushi places in Cincinnati, but this one absolutely stands out among them.

Crab rangoon - best I've ever tasted.

This place is beautiful and the food is top-notch. Very friendly and polite staff. I ordered takeout for my family for dinner, and I actually had to break into the crab rangoon appetizer before driving home, I just couldn't wait to try it, so fresh and crispy. We also got an order of the shrimp shumai which was divine. For our main course, we tried a bunch of the "healthy food with Chef" entrees and we liked them all. We ordered the cashew nuts, the green papaya garden, the hot Thai spicy sauce (my favorite) and the Queen City Rainbow. I appreciate the wide variety of fresh veggies in all of them. Thank you Green Papaya!

First time in and had the mango curry, tasty dish! The sauce was creamy and hearty. Will be back to try the sushi.

First of all: mango bubble smoothie is to die for. So glad I ate here. Well priced and portioned food. Definitely will be back.

Visiting family in Cincinnati over the holidays and decided to try this place out. The green papaya roll is fantastic.

I went here for my birthday in December, best sushi I've ever had. This puts every sushi I have…read moreever had in a lower class. The service was impeccable and they were so knowledgeable about every fish and all the prep into it. The ambiance was interesting, we had a girl begging for soy sauce and the chef just gave her salt. Was kinda funny to watch but made a little bit of tension. I think the chef handled it in a mature manner, the customer was clearly drunk or something and was not happy with their experience. Like I said this puts all other sushi in a lower classification. So much effort and thought into everything.

I went to the Thursday 5:00 p.m. seating, and I know I got lucky getting a reservation. I logged on…read morearound 7:00 that morning to book, and I was able to get one on my first try. Several people in my group said they'd tried multiple times without any luck. From what I've heard, Thursday at 5:00 is one of the easier reservations to get, because the Friday and Saturday 7:00 p.m. seatings disappear almost instantly. I've had sushi all over the country (although not all over the world), and this was hands down the best sushi I've ever had. The quality of the fish is incredible--they fly it in from Japan--and every course was beautifully presented. The pairings the chef came up with were amazing and really let the fish shine. The menu changes every day and every season, so you'll never have the exact same experience twice. One of my favorite surprises was the miso soup. The chef explained that the broth is made using the bones from the fish we were eating that evening, and it was honestly one of the best bowls of miso soup I've ever had. The only suggestion I'd make is to have a simple printed menu with the names of each course and maybe a few notes about the ingredients. The chef explains every course, but there are so many Japanese names and details that it's hard to remember everything by the time you leave. I would have loved something to take notes on or even just glance at while he was talking. The only other thing I noticed was that the ending felt just a little rushed. There are seatings at 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00, and by the end of our meal the next group was already waiting in the entryway. It wasn't a big deal, but it was noticeable. The experience is $115 per person, and the required 20% gratuity is paid when you make the reservation. You can also order alcoholic drinks during dinner. At the end, the chef offers an optional add-on (ours was either a $30 bowl or a $12 roll). I skipped it because it featured a type of fish that usually isn't my favorite, but after seeing what the chef did with everything else, I was honestly tempted to give it a try. Maybe next time. This was one of those meals that you keep thinking about long after it's over. Everything was thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. I can honestly say it's the best sushi I've ever had, and I'd love to come back every season to see how the menu changes.
