I was told that wasn't possible so I ask if I could please return it and then buy it back to be able to get a gift receipt and I was told that would not be possible. I could return it, but I could never have it back with the gift receipt, but I could come back to the store at a later time to see if I could find it out on the floor to buy it once again and then I could get a gift receipt... I found one that was…read morenoticeably damaged and asked if any discount was available, which I believe is a reasonable question when an item is already beaten up and not in new condition. Unfortunately, my experience with the cashier, Ava, was disappointing. Instead of handling my question professionally, she made a comment to a coworker right in front of me, saying, "Do you have wipes because this girl is asking for a discount." I found this remark rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. As a customer, I should be able to ask about pricing or discounts on damaged merchandise without feeling mocked or embarrassed. I understand that employees may not have the authority to offer discounts, and I would have completely accepted a polite explanation. However, the way the situation was handled made me feel disrespected. Customer service should involve treating customers with courtesy, even when the answer is no. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds staff of the importance of professionalism and respectful communication.

So basically waited to return, waited to checkout and finally just left what I was going to buy at the register with the coupon and left. Not surprised I only saw 3 other customers around the store.

Merchants include The Dollar Store, Vons, CVS, a pet supply store, a martial arts studio, and more. Services include Blonde by Salon Midori, Sunshine Pediatric Dental, a gym, and a Bank. There's also a great variety of eateries including Ocean & Earth, Tampopo Sushi, the Dive Oyster Bar, Starbucks, an ice cream shop, and a new Chinese restaurant. A new ice cream shops has just popped up where the Starbucks used to be. Oceans and Earth is a restaurant that specializes in seafood and other meats as well as farm fresh vegetables. Their wine selection is good and I believe they now also serve brunch on weekends although we have only dined there for dinner. There is a beauty salon that has numerous little substations. It's new and clean. There is also a CVS Pharmacy. Nekter has fresh juices and smoothies. There is also a Rubios. Lots of pine trees make parking in the summer better for your car so it's not so hot when you return from running errands. The only part of the parking lot where you really need to take care is near the grocery store as there are a lot of people who forget to look both ways before crossing. I don't appreciate the *sigh* then asking me "did I buy this much?", then I see her tossing some other small item in front of me. Then as she walked to the self checkout out counter to void my transaction, I apologized again and I still get an attitude. LADY, I have been to this location MANY TIMES and I know you have been working here for a while already. So I ask, what is with this associates attitude towards customers? Is this just today?
