The place is nice, has a lot options, but I won't be back. They put security tags on the waist of pants and it is impossible to see if they fit. I asked if the tag could be removed or moved so I could see if my pants fit, and Tammy was so rude. She was curt and not helpful. She literally said, "Nope, but you can buy them and take them home and try them on, and then you have 90 days to return them!" WOW! Rude! Can't you at least offer to move the tag on the leg? The manager was nice and told me that what Tammy said was not true, and he was willing to help me, but at the point of dealing with "Tudy" Tammy, I was over it and will gladly take my $250 I was planning on spending to a business that deserves it. Went to the Dick's Sporting Goods in Yorba Linda last minute to grab soccer cleats, socks, and shin guards for my son's tournament. There were two stores about the same distance, but this one had better reviews, so I chose here - and I'm so glad I did! Right when I walked in, two employees helped me out right away. I told them what we needed and that my son's boys' sizes are getting tight, so I was looking at women's options too. One of them said they'd actually used a pair of shin guards with little air holes and recommended those for the summer (so thoughtful!). When I mentioned my son has wide feet, they pointed me to Adidas cleats and even told me which ones stretch better. The prices were great, and I found everything super fast. Associate are always so friendly and ask if we were looking into anything particular. They have food pricing on items especially love their clearance racks. Been here multiple times for shoes and sporting goods. The team is always on it. Giving great tips even helping to demo bats on the cage. We bought both our son's bikes here and they pumped the tires and checked everything. Found brakes broken on one and recommend a replacement. The perfect spot to get your golf clubs re-gripped! After almost 20 years of owning my clubs, it was my first time getting them re-gripped since I've started playing again. You could only imagine the condition they were in (they were terrible). Since finding out that Dick's offers regripping services, I spent sometime on their website debating on which ones I'd like to try out. I ended up choosing the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Grips, which felt comfortable for me. The grip installation is $3.99/club, which is higher than another competitor, but it was worth it because of the turnaround time. It took them less than 5 hours to complete all 11 clubs I brought in. Never been to Dick's. Was looking for new pair of basketball shoes, recently began playing. I was warmly welcomed by Jamie the second I stepped foot into the store, and was helped by Josh. I told him what I needed and he was on it immediately. He knew exactly what he was talking about. I was in a hurry, and he helped me find the correct shoe for my needs (Giannis Immortality 4's) and my sizing within literally 10 minutes. Professional, kind, and genuine throughout. A stand-up guy. Similar things to say about Jamie who helped me at the register. She made it very clear how the rewards program worked and was super efficient. Wow. Just wow. I doubt I will ever be back to this location unless it is the ONLY place I can find what I am needing. Honestly, we've never had attentive help at this store. But normally we are making small purchases like helmets, weights, or clothing, etc. This time we went in to make a major purchase, spending well over $1000. The price tag on the floor model said one thing, the price online said another. When we asked about this we got a blank stare, then a vague answer about probably they had an old sign on it. So, we asked about the signs promoting the $10 off per $100 purchase. Again, blank stare and another "I think those are old signs" comment, this time followed with a "I think our promotion is probably better than that"... but no idea what that promotion would be, and he sent us to the cashier. We came in contact and spoke with FOUR employees, one being a manager (or seemed to be, as he proudly walked around the store with his Janet Jackson headset on) and nobody was willing to help us at all, just passed us along to someone else. So we make our decision on the major purchase and go up front. The cashier guy has NO idea about the $10 off per $100 signs that are literally all over the store but says that they don't have any special offers right now "that he knows of". He didn't seem so sure about his answer, but didn't do any research on it either. We had already made up our mind to purchase anyway, so we just bought it and had the unenergetic and unfriendly employees load it up in our truck. We were done. And we are done with this Dicks! Disappointing Experience with Dick's Sporting Goods Do not shop here! I ordered a pair of Adidas shoes from Dick's Sporting Goods online for $200. After playing in them for just 40 minutes, I realized they were hurting my toes and feet. I went to the Newport Beach store to return them, but the experience was awful. A rude associate, followed by an even less helpful manager, told me, "You should have tried them at home." I explained that I did, but it's different when you actually play in them. Unfortunately, when she got home we realized that the security tag was still on the cleats & there was no way we were going to drive another 45 minutes back there so she called & talked to the manager, Richard. He had the best customer service, apologized & even suggested a closer store (based on our area code). He then called ahead for us to make things even easier gave us a $15 credit for the inconvenience. Honestly, we were so taken back & grateful for the kind gesture. Two stars because I only had to waste 10 minutes of my life in this store. This Dick's Sporting Goods is located in Savi Ranch (Yorba Linda). It is waaaay in the corner and the parking lot right in front of the entrance doors is poorly designed which is sort of annoying. It's almost like it doesn't even exist because I couldn't "check in" on Yelp haha. The Yelp app didn't find it when I searched by the location or name - that's odd. Anyways, I stopped by Sunday morning ~11am to pick up my online order. It was my first time here so I walked in looking around for a customer service or online order pick up separate from the main line. You know, something similar you would find in Kohl's or Bed Bath & Beyond. No such luck here. The line to pay was pretty long and the cashiers don't acknowledge you and definitely don't seem approachable for a quick question. I ended up walking around waiting to run into a store associate. Sure enough, a female employee stocking shoes or something explained that there is a BLACK KIOSK at the entrance where I would enter my name/scan a barcode and someone would bring out my order. I walked back towards the front of the store and saw a ginormous sign hanging from the ceiling that read "online order pickup" above the aforementioned black kiosk. How did I miss it you ask? I have no clue! The young woman who finally brought me my order wasn't friendly and had an attitude. She seemed bothered that I asked a question about the order. I thanked her and left. When both kiddos play sports, Dick's is the place to shop. On our most recent visit to Dick's to check out baseball bats and softball bats, I noticed they added a batting cage to try out bats! I was very impressed with the advance technology Dick's has bestowed upon us little people trying to figure out if the 79.99 bat or the 359.99 bat was best for our child! With their calculations and our children swinging away, we were able to recognize which bat they were best at swinging.
