I like that this place is within walking distance. They are extremely friendly and always remember me. My dog especially loves the place because they always give dog treats...and ask before they give it to my dog too! They are honest in what they can or cannot do. Dropped off pants for dry cleaning, they were fast and friendly with their service. I had some questions about pricing when I picked up my pants and the girl was kind enough to over the pricing of everything. There is usually parking available on the street and it's free so that is a huge plus. Parking in LA is tough enough. I wouldn't say they're the cheapest but they are moderately priced and on par with other shops in the area. I requested pricing from close to 10 places and they were all within $2 of each other so convenience became the biggest factor for me. read more

This place is horrible. I took over $100 worth of cleaning there and they ruined a skirt, when I dropped it off it was white when I picked it up it was a weirded blue color and the black design was faded. I told them they asked me if I was sure it was white I said of course they said that's strange. That's strange they ruined it. They never apologized or at leasted offered to take off the charge for that skirt. They almost interigated me about whether or not it could be dry cleaned (which it could). Some of the other pieces have weirded stains. Needless to say i will be finding a new cleaners. Do not waste your money or time with this cleaner they are several other in the area! read more

I have been using Green Street Cleaners for 4 years now and would never go anywhere else, for multiple reasons. The staff and everyone is super nice and always accommodating. They can fix or hem a dress in a short amount of time and do a very good job. They have altered a few dresses for me and one was overnight that I needed for a wedding! I also had a suit made and last minute noticed it was stained right before my big interview. I ran to their shop right before closing and they had my suit in perfect condition the very next day. I have been using Green Street Cleaners exclusively For the last 8 years. First of all they are the best! Some of you may not know this, but in the same location, they also have a cobbler and an excellent Seamstress. They have done all sorts of leather Work for me. For instance, I have a favorite pair of Gucci sandals that they have resoled for me beautifully 3 times. The seamstress is Fast and very good. She has hemmed and repaired countless clothing items for me. Best of all, I always bring my other comrade with me, Olive. Great dry cleaners. They're the best I have been to in Pasadena. The people who work there are super friendly, and while they won't make promises about removing difficult stains, they're just being modest. I have taken cashmere, silk, dresses and men's shirts there and all have turned out looking like new. And they do great hemming, too. Plus their prices are pretty low, especially compared to Fashion Cleaners. Fashion cleaners, you know your prices are ridiculous! Dry cleaning for a man's shirt was only a few bucks, although it does take longer to get the stuff back than Fashion (a few days instead of next day), it is still well worth it. read more

I went here to get a snap put into a wrap dress that opened too far for me, so something simple. I wanted to support a local business that I drive by frequently. They said it would be ready in 2 days. I went back 5 days later and the woman at the desk couldn't find the dress and just said casually "the tailor works offsite sometimes so she probably hasn't brought it back yet." So even though they had said it would be ready for pickup 3 days prior it wasn't there and the woman working didn't look at all concerned that perhaps it was missing or that they were inconveniencing a customer. I asked if they could call the tailor and she said she was out of town. I had to leave for work so I asked if someone could please call me once they verified they had found my dress (which was brand new with tags still on.) They said they would, but never did. I went back a week later and the dress was there but the snap was in the completely wrong place and you could see where it had initially been pinned to go and the snap was 2 inches higher and caused bunching. I didn't want to leave the dress in their hands at this point (figured I'd just take it elsewhere) and even though they had 1) not had it ready on time 2) not called me when it was ready as requested and 3) not done the actual job, they still charged me. And it's not about $8 it's about messing up and not caring at all about the service to the customer. If they had misplaced the dress and then called me when it was found, then fine, mistakes happen. But the combination of factors was just too much. I found a different local tailor who redid the snap in 48 hours just as requested. And I'll be using them for all tailoring or alterations from now on. read more

I get my suits and shirts dry cleaned and laundered, and they have never over-promised in regard to stains, but I've never gotten a shirt back with anything on it. I have been patronizing Green Street Cleaners for a while until they lost a few of my shirts. They asked for more time to look for them, and each time I returned only to be told they were still looking. Finally they told me they were sure I had picked them up already. The friendly faces were all of a sudden gone, and both of the ladies became very defensive. I knew they will never find those shirts...I figured it would not be worth my time to try to get some kind of compensation, as they obviously have dealt with similar situations many times before.
