The sausage was from the meat market just down the road and was so good that we waited for the market to open so we could bring some home. The milk was from a local dairy. The corned beef hash was really tasty. Totally great breakfast.

About three hours on the road and time for a routine rest stop. Long enough to stretch the dogs and use the restroom. Really the sole reason for the stop. Call it a social norm or just the right thing to do, we believe the use of a business's bathroom should be followed-up with a purchase. Even without that terrible "bathrooms are for paying customers" sign. We ordered iced teas to-go and started perusing their menu when we noticed all the wonderful choices and decided lunch come early today! The food was pretty good. Bathrooms clean. The biggest shame was that we had to leave and eat in the car with the dogs while we travel. The dining room was priceless. An incredible rustic feel, for sure. That cozy, down-home atmosphere that just makes you want to stay. To top it off, they have a monitor in the corner featuring a lighthouse cam. I'm guessing somewhere on Lake Michigan? Great views of some pretty big ships! The couple running the place were a treasure. Don't like what they put on your sandwich? What would be better? They're happy to comply and have you back! We would love to make it back here again, someday. 10/23

The owner stopped by to visit our table and tell us tales of his time checking out Tennessee BBQ, and the waitress ground our coffee and made sure we had everything we needed. We always feel like family here, but let me tell you, none of my family cooks as good as this!!!. We can only stop by about twice a year, but breakfast at the Delta Diner is truly one of the highlights of our year. Stocked up on diner swag, including three bags of ground Counter Creature coffee roasted at the diner! That coffee is making our RV smell great as we drive away.

I wasn't ready to eat at a restaurant, but since I trekked here, I decided to stay. Asked to sit on the patio for better air flow and was told that table is still dirty and I had to take a booth. The host wasn't thrilled when I insisted on waiting and sitting outside. At a time where everybody has different levels of comfort, I'd imagine a bit of flexibility would be key. The rest of the staff was incredibly friendly and they are all over the cleaning and safety measures. A great menu of options, but just wait til they walk you through the daily specials. The sweet potato hash is mixed with real potatoes, and a fantastic savory mix with eggs on top. Had the stuffed hash browns. Highly recommend getting over easy eggs on top as it was a bit dry. Good flavor on the Dutch baby, but was crazy about the jam on top or mushy center. Worth the stop and be prepared to sit a while.

While the patio is dog-friendly, you have to go inside to the bar to order your drinks and food and dogs aren't allowed in there. So, if you're traveling solo with your dog, be aware of this. I just left the car locked and running while I went in to order, put my placard down on a table outside, then went and grabbed the pup from the car. The Caesar Salad with chicken was lovely and had nice, crisp greens - not just the light colored watery lettuce, this had the medium and dark green goodness too. Still a little bland tasting, but it is a nice size and I ate the whole thing. The chicken on top of it was warm and freshly cooked, and absolutely delicious. I shared a piece of chicken and some lettuce with my pup and he likewise approved. It was a warm sunny day, so I ordered a Kentucky Mule to go along with my salad. Staff was a little busy with tables inside (lots of children at one table) so they forgot about my drink sitting on the bar. It came out just after my salad, so I just decided to make it my dessert instead of my appetizer :) Friendly staff and good food. If you're out this way, why not stop in and enjoy for yourself?

Staff were professional and you could tell were old hands and knew what was what. I ordered the hot mess (their version of poutine but without cheese curds and with shredded roast beef) which was amazing, SO good. I had a special - sliders on pretzel buns, and while the beans and coleslaw were delicious, the sliders were just okay. Others in the group loved the pot pie, and my kiddo devoured the burger. The quality of the food and the service place the Cranberry Over Superior above other seemingly similar options in the area. Highly recommend.

I was expecting Lorelei to walk into reception area at any moment with a cup of coffee. Foods are excellent We had 5 course tasting menu that way we can taste most of the foods. Fortunately This is a very fine dining with moderate portion not giant. The highlights are definitely: Caesar salad - made old fashioned way you can taste the anchovy Mushroom soup - almost like French onion soup but mushroom and without overwhelming cheese on top. It's so nice and light. Perfect start to a meal seafood ravioli served with salmon - ravioli is definitely the star . The salmon is just some back up dancer. That Ravioli is magic. Umami bomb definitely taste the ocean (in a good way) and the butter and all the good things in life. For desert - the berry cobbler is special of the day and it is just phenomenal. All great texture are there. Chewy crust. Explosive berry flavors à la mode. After dinner. You can hang out at the porch there's swing. Nice chairs overlook the lake. Next time we should probl stay here
