I signed my…read more83 year old mom up for hospice care for bladder cancer and Bristol followed up with the nurses, social worker, and bather. They reminded me to call anytime I had a question. Their accessibility made me feel supported and cared for. They immediately made sure my mom had pain management taken care of. I didn't have to be burdened with waiting in line to get medications. This was significant since I'm the doing all of this alone. The RN case manager, Antoinette, has been a pivotal support agent in my life. She has a very present, nurturing quality to her. I felt safe breaking down into tears in her company. Her compassion, knowledge, and understanding reached my heart as she sat with me as I had a moment of immense grief. She said all the right things during a time I felt most vulnerable. I know this team must have pragmatic tasks of the job dealing with paperwork, but when they are with you they offer their complete presence while also juggling documentation and ordering supplies. The level of authentic care and sincerity means so much to me. I know my mom can feel it as well.

My first call to them was with James who instantly made me feel they were the company we wanted and they were willing to get us care within 2 days. Tiffany, the case manager, is both very professional and also very caring and personal. She came the first day with the first caregiver to make sure we were all set. Their policies are generous and they are incredibly flexible and willing to pivot when needed. Our goal was to get my mom to independence. We had 2 very different caregivers and both were wonderful. My mom got to independence earlier than expected and we cut a few days off our original plan. I FULLY recommend this wonderful company!

During my search, I have realized that most of the agencies have dealt with difficult situations from their own pasts, which seems to create a certain familiarity.. I know it will be challenging trying to find the right agency, and finding the right caregiver that will want to help us out on the weekends.. There is a huge beautiful backyard with seating under a gazebo. I happened to arrive at mealtime, and the residents were sitting around a family table. The food looked good, the residents well cared for. The owner, Lily was warm and professional. Although we decided upon a larger facility, Agape is worth a visit if you want a home setting. Not for someone on a tight budget- but costs are fairly comparable.

Do your research on the doctor your loved one will be assigned to for care. IT IS CRITICAL and could have saved us a lot of heartache on the last day. I regret using this company. Hospice is supposed to be comfort care - but instead I had to advocate even harder for basic care for my dad than I did before he was under hospice care, at a time when he was actively dying and I was most overwhelmed, sad and uncertain.

We repeatedly experienced a lack of timely notification regarding significant changes in her care, medication scheduling, and even changes to her living arrangements. When a loved one is living with dementia, keeping family members informed is not optional--it is essential. My interactions with Tina were particularly concerning. Rather than fostering transparency and collaboration with the family, I felt her approach was unprofessional and contributed to unnecessary confusion during an already stressful time. Decisions affecting my mother appeared to move forward without meaningful communication with those responsible for her care. I was equally disappointed with Meggin's handling of family communication. Despite repeated requests, there were ongoing failures to keep me informed about important developments regarding my mother's care. As someone actively involved in advocating for her well-being, I expected far better coordination, responsiveness, and professionalism. These communication failures caused unnecessary stress for my family and diminished our confidence in the facility's ability to work collaboratively with residents' loved ones. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and proactive communication--especially when caring for vulnerable seniors with cognitive impairment. I sincerely hope Eskaton Village improves its communication policies, staff accountability, and family engagement so that other families do not have the same experience.

He quickly understood how easily my body reacts & was careful not to stir things up, while at the same time presenting ways to strengthen it. He has shown me, often in little ways, things to do to ease pain, that no one had told me about before...that have helped! He also suggested a home-help product I didn't think I needed (but turns out I do), that will help me shower more safely. I have been so impressed w/ everyone from Blossom Ridge. Today I wanted to focus on Cody as he's completed his part in my care. Thanks Cody!
