They told me they groomed my dog but she looked nothing of the sort; she looked like an old rag used in an auto shop. My dog honestly looked worse afterward. I love bringing my dog Sunny to Green Valley K9. He can be a little anxious around other dogs, so I love that they have smaller groups for play. I can tell he enjoys going there because each time I drop him off, he seems so excited to see the employees there. At the end of the day, he is a little muddy which is great because I can tell he was out playing. I can see pictures of him playing with his favorite dog pal on Facebook as well. I used to bring my dog to a different daycare that was always very smelly, and they kept the dogs together all day long. I like that at Green Valley, it is extremely clean, and they are given a mix of kennel time and play time so they don't become overstimulated. I appreciate the hours Green Valley is open also. I don't feel as guilty working long days when I know my dog is in good care. I have only used Green Valley's dog daycare services as I groom Sunny on my own. I first learned of GV-K9 as I was doing a month of puppy-sitting for friends. There came a day when I had a work obligation from 9am-7pm and I couldn't leave Monty alone for that long... so, I dropped him at GV-K9, a place he visits from grooming and occasional boarding. At check in, staff was very helpful and patient with me as a first time visitor. I messed up- I didn't know I was supposed to bring his food, but they patiently explained for a small fee they could feed him 'house' food. When I came to pick him up the next morning, it was more than obvious that he greatly enjoyed his time... he wanted to stay in his luxury lil' hotel to keep playing with his peers. If I ever become a full time puppy parent, I know where my pup will spend time if I'm working long hours! read more

Malu, our 6.5 year old Great Dane, has been going to GVK9 for both daycare and boarding since she was a young dog! I was worried because she doesnt get along with all dogs. The staff were able to determine the perfect "group" for her to have playtime with and she has never had any issues. She is always placed in the same grouping no matter which dogs are there and they are always a great mix for her. Our dog loves the staff and they love her right back. We've used Green Valley K9 several times for boarding and day camp. From the outside, it looks like a high end spa where I would love to spend a day, however that privilege is for my pups. They have dual suites that allow my two fur babies to stay together during boarding and they offer a ton of activities for them to participate in. Swimming? Yes, they have a pool for that! Running? Yes, they have a HUGE outdoor space for just that. If temps don't allow outdoor time, they have large indoor spaces for chasing, running, and general dog play. Want your pet groomed during their stay? They have that too! They will also post pictures throughout the day on Facebook so you can keep up with your pets antics. We are completely crazy for our two dogs and spoil them rotten, so boarding them was stressful before finding Green Valley K9. I show up with very detailed instructions and am assured they will be well taken care of. We highly recommend Green Valley K9 whether it be for a day or extended boarding. My pup Freddy Sue has been to Green Valley about three times now for daycare, and will be returning a few more times this summer for boarding and some more daycare days! As a human whose love for/obsession over her dog is truly boundless, I have been on the hunt to find a boarding place that is truly the best of the best. Green Valley certainly has "best of the best" prices (which are going up at the end of this month), and I think the facility, staff, and care my dog gets while she is there backs it up. It is very stressful to leave your dog in the care of anyone else for any amount of time, but I am impressed by a NUMBER of things this facility offers: 1) The staff here is incredible. They have quite a few staff members and each experience I have had chatting with any one of them has been wonderful. They clearly care about what they do and are quick to answer any questions I have. 2) It doesn't smell and my dog doesn't stink when she comes home. This is HUGE because it means they have proper filtration and cleanliness protocols in place. 3) The wrap up they are able to give you at the end of your pup's visit is really nice, and I appreciate how organized they are in putting pups who have compatible temperament together. Freddy Sue is a purple room gal and could play for HOURS if given the chance. There's no cameras in this facility, so you're leaving it up to the supervisors and staff to ensure the dog's social and physical safety while out playing. At the end of the day, I do feel this is still a MUCH better alternative than leaving your dog in a kennel with occasional walks or just a few trips outside. I think the dogs at Green Valley truly do get an enriching experience. A recent change since I had last brought my dog to daycare was that they now have you transition your dog out of their collar/harness and into a slip lead upon arrival. I wasn't prepared for that, and am frankly not a fan of this. When my dog was brought back out to me at pick up, she was wheezing as the slip lead had not been put on appropriately and was more around her neck than at the top of her head (I ended up doing some research on how slip leads after the fact). I am sure they know more than me when it comes to dog gear, but blaming "excitement" for the fact that my dog was clearly having some trouble breathing was not acceptable to me. She IS a hyper queen and WAS super excited to see me, but as soon as the slip lead was off, her breathing went back to normal. Freddy pulls when she is excited and slip lead will simply choke your dog indefinitely if they are not put on correctly and the dog pulls. My dog has had MMM in the past and I am sensitive about anything that could stress or harm her facial and neck muscles. I plan to chat with the staff prior to my next visit to forego the slip lead and keep her regular harness and leash with her belongings while boarding. I know I am likely overreacting and the leads aren't as big of an issue as I am making it out to be, but at the end of the day, the dogs are in an incredibly excitable and maybe stressful situation entering the facility and being dropped off - the last thing my dog needs is injured neck muscles as a result. At the end of the day, no place is going to be perfect. I had taken Fred to a different, high-rated boarding facility where my dog came home a smelly and stressed out mess, AND she had a health issue while we were away that I wasn't made aware of. Here, I know she is at least socializing with temperament tested dogs and being taken care of in a clean environment. I wish everyone reading lots of luck in their search for great puppy care! My 9 year old lab becomes puppy brain every time we pull into the lot. She loves to play with her friends and the staff seems very attentive. First of all the people who own this company are in construction and know nothing about dogs . I sent my dog there untill my friend that worked there said dogs sit in crates or concrete 4 by 4 walls that look like jail cells . They only have limited outside time. Why would i send my money for my dog to sit in a pen all day. I also was hesitant when they told me they had 100 daycare dogs how do you pay attention to everyone with 6 workers ? New management took over and the atmosphere of the kennel changed. Kennel attendants need additional training on reading signals from dogs so they can see the difference between an excited dog and an aggressive dog. I have mixed emotions while writing this review. A while back, my fiance and I toured the facility with our social(er) dog. We saw pretty much the entire facility. The inside play room which was so spacious and the flooring was comfy for delicate paws. The outside areas are HUGE and a little worn but what do you expect from a kennel with lots of traffic. We even got to peak at the pool, which looks smaller in person but is a great size for a small pack of dogs. We really loved the place and were thinking about using it for a day care for our one dog. Some time later, we needed to go on vacation and so the rescue group we foster dogs through, set up our foster dog at GVK9. I called a head of time and explained to the staff that the dog was dog reactive and would easily be stressed out if she was with the large dogs and over stimulated. I was so pleased because the staff member assigned her to the family room in the quieter small dog wing. Upon drop off, the staff was not informed on this and apologized. They also said they would switch her to the small dog wing, once some dogs were moved around. On vacation we saw many pictures of our foster baby; she got to enjoy everything! Well, at pick-up we noticed they took our foster dog from the large dog wing. After getting her home we noticed she was even more dog reactive and stressed. We had to incorporate extra training into her to get her back to the stage she was at before drop-off. It was quite disappointing because our foster dog's behavior was put at risk because someone forgot to move her to where she would be most comfortable. read more

I have to first say, I have not kept my dog there, I just went on a tour. However, there were a number of things from that tour that made me feel very uncomfortable. Here's what they were: - On their website they state that all of the dogs have fleece blankets on their beds, when I went on the tour there was not one fleece blanket to be seen and I saw many dogs in their "suites" - while they refer to the kennels as "suites" it is in name only. The spaces are concrete kennels and have a raised bed (easier to clean than plush beds) - according to the schedule they have rest time or lunch between 11 AM and 1 PM. I was there from 1:30 PM to 2 PM and there was not one dog playing in the pool, indoor playspace, or in any of their areas outside. All of the dogs were in kennels. - All of their collars had been removed from the dogs. I'm not sure why, but this makes me feel uncomfortable especially since I have a yellow lab that could be mistaken for another yellow lab. - I saw two hallways that contain the kennels. In one the dogs were curled up in their beds (and looked scared and cold) and one dog did not have a bed. The rep shared with me it was because he chewed his. Perhaps they could've put some toys in there for him to chew on instead of just removing his bed and leaving him on the cold concrete floor without any toys or anything. In the other hallway there were dogs barking incessantly and loudly. No rest was happening there. - this is what I am concluding from what I saw: the staff seemed interested in making life easier on themselves by taking out fleece blankets that would need to be laundered, taking out a bed of one of the dogs instead of addressing the dogs needs, leaving them in their kennels, and removing the collars (still not sure why they did that). - other places have cameras and this place does not. In all fairness, I could have caught them on a bad day at the time I went. I was extremely disappointed as I was hoping to find a place that cares about animals to the level that I do and would take great care of my dog. From my tour I am not convinced that my dog would be taken care of. I will share however, that the place did look clean. The indoor playspace had been freshly mopped. The pool also looked clean and so did the hallways where the kennels were. The gal who took me on the tour was also very friendly. I did not get to meet other staff members. read more

I've used several kennels for my dogs through the years and Green Valley is my favorite. All of the staff are friendly and caring and understand and are sympathetic with a dog mom's concerns. My dog was very nervous to start, but the staff worked with her to the point that she now seems comfortable with them and with being there. What a great experience! Our very people oriented Shiba does not get along with other dogs. We took her in to be bathed and get a tour. The bath was great! They trimmed ALL her nails and that NEVER happens. The staff was great on the tour and seemed to understand and be willing to accommodate her needs. Super impressed with the facility and the staff. Very disappointed. Called several times and left messages. No return calls. When I finally contacted them they said I couldn't have my dogs nails trimmed for 7 - 10 days. This place is incredible. Every staff member I have met has been helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. They really understand how to put the dog's needs first and how to communicate with the owners in an effective way at drop-off, pick-up and with photos throughout the day online (especially helpful for overbearing dog-mom's like myself). The daycare is top-notch - my puppy always comes home happy, healthy, and exhausted. The boarding is wonderful and I never feel like I need to worry about my dog when he is at their facility.
