They loved Todd the service tech and went on and on about him so I decided to give them a call to see if they could repair the look on the gate to my pool. Todd was professional, nice, funny and made sure I knew the difference in the locks available, as well as the difference in price, He also made sure I was prepared with the gate code I wanted and he also had me practice using it while I was there. Went to GV Lock on Thurs 6/21/17 at 8am-ish to fix a frozen Schlage dead bolt keyway. The keyway repair was pretty quick, but they gave it back to me with a much shorter "paddle" (piece that overlaps the paddle on the other side of the door to engage the deadbolt). I asked about the shorter paddle, was told it was fine, paid $25, got no receipt ("receipt maker was broken"). Went home to reinstall the repaired lock and sure enough, the paddle not only didn't overlap, but was short of even touching the dead bolt mechanism. I went back to GV Lock, same guy at counter, explained the problem....he goes behind the "pony" wall that's behind the counter...rustling around materials..."can't find anything here", asks a delivery guy who's about to leave where something could be found. I asked if I could just get my original part and money back, I'd find another source for the repair..."I don't have your parts, I threw them in the trash and I'm not going to dig through the trash...this Lock is from Home Depot, it's junk and we don't sell this crap. You're here just making trouble for people trying to help you." Couple minutes of silence while banging around behind the pony wall..."Here u go, this will work. This is just junk, we don't sell it here". The paddle had been replaced with another paddle roughly the same length. Sure enough, it did not work when reinstalled. Headed for ABC Lock on Sunset Rd.....they knew what the problem was, had the correct part in stock, 5 min in and out. Reinstall much easier...when the "paddles" Line up and overlap correctly, the bolt holes line up too...:) GV Lock is blocks from my house, ABC Lock about 6 miles...I'll drive the extra distance for the service and attitude. read more

Our card access was a mess and Jeff the owner took our account on as a special project. Its been 3 years and no problems and if there is a problem we can always count on Jeff. We have a second location in Henderson and GV Lock & Safe just serviced our second location and the work was very complex. GV Lock & Safe handled this project like a pro. Actually 3.5 stars but hey...first review of the new year and they treated my wife good...so...rounding up. Green Valley Lock & Safe is one of the few Locksmiths it seems with a brick & mortar you can take a lock in to have rekeyed. The only option for most other companies is a $75 service call plus rekey fee. We had a couple locks to rekey and didn't want to pay $100 to have someone come to the house. While they were considerably more expensive that the company we use in California, they were quick and efficient at rekeying. They charged extra to rekey one of the locks because we didn't have the key. I know it is a bit more effort to remove the pins manually but seriously, it is a five minute process to rekey a lock. I rekey all the Kwikset locks on our rentals but our houses have Schlage locks and I don't have a kit for them and i am told the tumbler removal process is a bit more difficult (at least for an amateur like me.) Anyway this is the company our old HOA uses to service the electronic locks on the clubhouse and pool. I have always found them responsive and professional for commercial and residential. read more

Absolutely terrible service. When asking about certain styles of locks Mike responded with an attitude simply because I didn't speak his "lock" lingo. If I did this for a living I wouldn't need your service. When I first walked in and started speaking with him there wasn't a single person in the store. As people walked in he would start to help them and pushed me to the side. Nice thing about Vegas is there is always another company willing to help. Green Valley Lock & Safe was given an order for replacing locks and making keys not to exceed $209. on our credit card. They did not finish the work and charged us $372 ,Twice. If you use this company, be sure to check what you were charged on your credit card statement. Better yet, chose another company. read more

If there was no star rating I would give it. I brought a keyblade over to these guys to get cut. After giving me a (rude) speech about how he is probably the only person in town that would do that type of work and how he wouldnt garantee it, he proceeded to charge me $5 (A SIDE) for a two sided key. I should have probably inspected the work but I had my 2 year old with me so I left after paying the $10 dollars. Once I got home I tried the key, and of course it didnt work. I shouldnt have even bothered, once you compared both keys it was PAINFULLY obvious that the cut was all messed up. Figured as much given it took him about 2 mins to cut the key. Long story short I ordered another key blade and took it to MX Locksmiths. They charged me $1.08 to cut it and oddly enough, it works..... read more

So far customer service sucks. I asked for an estimate on a commercial access system (thousands of dollars), and they've taken their sweet time getting a quote to me. They even said they'd try to get to me sooner than their normal 2 week time frame. WTF?! Also, I called 3 times & they kept saying they'd get it to me. Do you want my money or not? Not a good sign. The tech himself was nice, but so far the experience is pretty poor. I can't get them to take my money...haha - I will update if anything changes, but for now...thumbs down. read more

I called Green Valley Lock & Safe to replace the lock on my safe when I lived in the Anthem Country Club. I told them I had the part required and that the door was open. The technition showed up on time and in minutes had the lock replaced. We were 100% satisified. A few months later we moved to a different home in Anthem Sun City and requested they unbolt our safe and move it for us. Once again they were exactly on time with all the appropriate tools to move a 6' safe. They followed me to our new house and expertly installed the safe in its new location. In May of 2010, I purchased a fixer upper, bank owned property in Lake Las Vegas. I called Green Valley Lock and Safe, and although it was going to be a $250 job to rekey the entire house, they STILL charged a $79.00 "trip charge" to go out there. Although it is only 12 miles away!! I agreed, and they sent someone out to rekey the house (who was fine). 2 months later, the cheap Nu-Set Chinese junk deadbolt that they installed on the courtyard gate ceased working. I called them, and spoke with perhaps the RUDEST woman of all time on the phone. She would NOT guarantee ANY of their work past 30 days!! I even offered to pay for another deadbolt, AND the installation, if they would only waive the ridiculous $79 "trip charge" (14 minutes away...wow) Her answer...."No....we are not going to do that" I would run as far away as possible from this company. They must be doing great in this bad economy to be able to piss off customers like this. BBB is my next stop. Hope it was worth the 79 bucks guys! read more

This was a few months ago but I had a gentleman come out to the house to replace the lock on my front door ( new home!! ). The house was built in '72 but he managed just fine redoing the lock. He also cleaned it, made sure everything was working smoothly and gave me some extra keys. He also told me the keys were a little shorter than normal so if I go to get new keys I should be aware of that. He was fast, professional and courteous. Thanks! read more

Had excellent service from David last summer to take care of a stuck handle that was out sync. David was great at working with the handle and got the vault open after working on it for almost and hour. Green Valley Lock & Safe is very fair in their pricing for this repair and David saved us a lot of money and aggravation getting our vault open. This month the vault handle was giving us problems again and this time Jeff came out and secured it again at NO CHARGE even though it was almost a year since Green Valley Lock came out. Both Jeff and David were excellent and friendly to work with and we would not hesitate to call them again for any safe or lock issues we have in the future. This organization has provided me some great council in the past. for that reason I contacted them to help me install a lock on my front door because I thought the door alignment would make it impossible for me to do it without a locksmith help. However when the Gentleman arrived, and knowing that I was paying after hours fees, at 5 PM, he was there for about 15 minutes. Yet when he submitted hisInvoice it's stated that he was there for an hour. I called the store multiple times but they are assured me that he was there for longer than 30 minutes which was actually not true. Very disappointing read more

Very helpful and considerate. I had to replace 2 vehicle keys with the micro-chip inside. Since the keys came from the dealership, he could not guarantee they would work (standard practice for 3rd party products), he still took the time to make sure the keys worked on both the doors and ignition right then and there. Can't say enough good things about these guys. I was looking at over $250 to replace a key/fob for my car, but they recommended I just buy a new case and then they cut the key for me (not an easy cut w/a Lexus apparently). They could've easily charged me a ton since I had to have a new key, but they gave me great advice, took the time to cut the key correctly and charged me a 10th of what I would've paid otherwise.
