I've now been to Isla Mujeres a number of times and have managed to sample many of the local establishments, so I can say with some knowledge that this little off the beaten path restaurant is worth not only stopping at, but seeking out. The place is super cute and Mexican-Islandy, and the food is fresh, modern and authentic (mostly classic casual Mexican with a 21st century update). A few items are even best in their class , for instance, the cucumber lemonade is fresher, lighter, more refreshing and delicious than pretty much any lemonade I've had, ever. Yummy guacamole and chips, too! That snack alone is worth a visit after a hot day at the beach. read more

We stopped by Green Verde for a late lunch one day while cruising around on the golf cart. We were pretty pleased at the food here at Green Verde, we split the fish tacos which were very fresh and tasted great. Service was pretty awesome and friendly. We also got a mojito here, but it was a little too sour and lacked the alcohol kick; almost like it was virgin. The price wasn't bad, but it was a little more expensive than other options on the island. read more

Great little restaurant on Isla Mujures! We stopped by after spotting the Trip Advisor sign and decided to give it a shot. Good thing we did! The food was delicious! We got the fish tacos and cucumber lemonade. On a hot day, the cucumber was very refreshing. The drink tasted very fresh and flavourful and not just of sugar like a lot of north american cold drinks. The interior was very pretty and exotic. There were a lot of plants and I heard from another diner that all the furniture was made by the owners when they first opened! Excellent service. I've been waiting a year to come back to this place to have the stuffed pepper. The lunch menu was a different stuffed pepper from the last time I was here - but it still did not disappoint!!! Very rich - so not good if you are looking for a light lunch. But delicious! read more

We have been to Isla several times and have always wanted to eat here. For various reasons we haven't made it. Well me madie it on our last trip for breakfast. By far it is now our favorite breakfast spot on the island. The menu is not huge, but really how many things can you do for breakfast. The fresh OJ was great and all of our meals were not only aesthetically appealing but tasted great! read more

Literally the best steak burrito I have ever had. Served with a side of grilled veggies that I stuffed inside the burrito. Ask for hot sauce! It's so good. I was actually looking for a different place that I couldn't find and kept driving by Green Verde and decided to give in. I'm so happy I did. The fish tacos were excellent - this chipotle sauce that comes with it is the perfect sweet spicy blend. The margaritas were great, I had una mas several times. Suiza enchilada's were good but a for some more crema and sauce then they were on point. I do wish they had the guacamole or pico and chips. But overall very authentic and tasty! read more

We recently ate at Green Verde and it was awesome! The guacamole was outstanding...it was so fresh and delicious that we commented to each other after each bite. One of us had the stuffed Poblano pepper and the other had the grilled flank steak with sliced Poblano peppers and both were awesome. The place is very easy to find, very clean, and the service was outstanding. If on Isla Mujeres it's worth the trip to Green Verde. read more

Amazing find! This place is right outside of our hotel (Worldmark) so we grabbed tacos late Saturday night and they were delicious especially the fish tacos. We decided to go back for breakfast this morning and it did not disappoint! Such a fun atmosphere and our breakfast was so flavorful and fresh. The owner is super nice and helped us find the best place to hang out on the beach. This place is a must! read more

My favorite lunch restaurant on the island! Green Verde is tiny, casual and charming. We stopped for lunch today. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the chicken tacos. Both were delicious. Tortillas were all fun colors. Cucumber lemonade was very fresh and not too sweet. Mojito has just the right amount of fresh mint. We will be back for sure! read more

Everything is so fresh. The fruit is juicy, the Nutella crepes are mouthwatering and delicious, and the passion fruit mojito is definitely something to write home about. Our server Brian was wonderful our first time, and Rafael was amazing our second time! The vibes are amazing - plants and vines everywhere, and at this time of year, decorated very nicely para La Navidad :) definitely pay them a visit when you're in the area! read more

These hard working, lovely people served us the most delicious breakfast. They were super careful with distancing, masks, temperature readings and sanitation. The options were really unique and fresh. The service was on point and friendly (with our limited Spanish). This was one of the highlights of our trip to Isla Mujeres. read more

We read the reviews and had to try it out. We arrived early for dinner, everyone must have been watching the sunset but I'm so glad we got here first! The margaritas are the best I had on the island! My mango margarita that was advertised as "frozen" was not what one would expect. The first thing you notice is the enameled tin cup full of icy goodness! And it wasn't frozen, more like a fruit slushy full of fruit! Amazing! We started with the guacamole and the presentation was beautiful, Guam was delicious! My beef poblano relleno was so tasty with the nuts, cheese, fruit filling, I want the recipe! My husband had the green mole and he basically licked the plate. Excellent! read more

We just ate at the Green Verde, and I feel compelled to say that the tri-colored mole enchiladas were absolutely horrible!!! The chicken one tasted rancid and all were cold and totally unappetizing. To be honest, I regurgitated when I got back to the resort in fear that I would get sick from the food that I had eaten. In addition, the cost for the amount of food brought to the table was far more than a bigger meal in the US. I would absolutely avoid this restaurant. This is a solid tourist-centric spot. The menu is 100% English (what?!). The food was the freshest and healthiest we've had on the island. We tried the stuffed peppers w/ beef (like barbacoa) and the chicken salad. The food and service was good, and the inside was clean and fresh. Despite the good food and service, Green Verde could be in any U.S. city... the dishes were all safe and made me feel more like I was on vacation in the U.S. then in Mexico. read more

We passed this place up a handful of times but finally got the chance to snag a meal- BOY was it worth it! I would say this is my favorite restaurant on the island. The margarita was PERfect, and the cucumber drink was also stunningly bright and delicious. I ordered the chilaquiles; it turned out festive in presentation and equally yummy!
