Thick Pita bread (freshly baked @ Oasis bakery)
    Larry L.

This Plano Middle Eastern grocery store / restaurant bakes its own fresh pita bread of all styles using various Iraqi flatbreads. You will see fresh fruits and vegetables, pre-marinated Halal meats, Middle Eastern dairy, sauces and spices, baklava, and imported prepackaged international/European snacks. I bulk-buy then freeze their pita breads so I never run out when cooking Chicken Souvlaki or other grilled meats, or eating with hummus.

I will never ever buy meat from them again. only the packaged products. They cover the old ground beef with fresh to sell. I don't know what else they do to cheat the customers.

Well came across this place, as I was shopping at the Oasis Market and they told us about their sister location the Oasis Bakary. They make Manaqeesh/Manakesh, which is a middle Easter pie which contains Zaatar, cheese, or any kind of Pizza topping. I guess on Saturday they are usually busy, not the greatest customer service, we had to repeat orders several time which was ok, but what I did not appreciate was they didnt give us our order all at once so some got cold and while they knew they are always busy on Saturday, he messed my order and then said I dont have enough dough!!!! The falfel we ordered was freezer burnt and was raw inside, returned it twice with the same results!!! Your base is good, but you need to step your game in order to get more customers! GOOD Luck with everything!

Never buy from them, the meat is old and stinky , and they wrapped the old meat with fresh meat to deceive the customers I will never back to them

I had high hopes for this place but wasn't too impressed with the food. It mainly has an arab Indian clientele. I ordered the chicken shwarma and hummus plate. The chicken was tasteless bland and dry and very orange. Even with the seasoning the chicken wasn't very tasty. Do expect a wait. Even though most of what I ordered should have already been prepared it seems they just make you wait a solid 10 to 12 minutes for anything you order. It's the middle eastern way.

The crab stuffed sole had no flavor other than salt which even then could've used a bit more. The whipped potatoes had horseradish mixed into them. The flavor notes did not go together. I did try the sampler in which the shrimps tasted very fishy. The smoked salmon dip was ok and the tuna nacho was actually very tasty. The service was superior with the host seating us immediately and our server checking on us constantly. The ambiance is nothing fancy just some metal chairs and tables. I was honestly disappointed. I spent almost $100 for terrible food.

The things that are more expensive you truly feel like they are good quality and a decent value. They have a lot of produce that you wouldn't see anywhere else. The bakery is legit and has awesome cakes and breads. Snacks and dried goods imported from all over the world. They have a really nice selection of flowers that they'll beautifully wrap up for you. Plus the cafe has really good food. We always get pizza and it's great quality for a great price. They also have a playground for little ones. Shopping at Central Market is truly a one of a kind experience and I always leave feeling excited about the new and unique things they have. They frequently have special events and themes too. I remember a few years ago they did one on Portugal and had a bunch of imported Portuguese items and they made Portuguese bread and pastries in the bakery. It was amazing.

Once you walk in, it is kind of sensory overload. There is a "food court" right up front with several options. Hamburgers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, gelato, and more. Plenty to choose from. I also went back to the bakery and checked out their assorted baked goods. I was underwhelmed. They looked phenomenal but they were average size, etc. But the prices were outrageous. More expensive that San Diego prices which kind of surprised me. I ended up getting a hamburger. The chef was very nice, friendly, made me laugh. He built me a fantastic bleu bonnet burger. It was tasty, flavorful, filling. It was cooked a little more than I would normally want, but still yummy. the Brioche Bun was good, but did fall apart a little bit. Maybe warming it on the grill had something to do with that. I went with a combo that included a drink cup for the help yourself drink station. The drink station had interesting flavors I have never seen before, and some old standards like coke, diet coke, sprite. The combo also included crinkle cut fries. They were warm, golden brown, delicious but they were a little overdone. Definitely needed some ketchup to help eat them. The staff at the checkout lines were smiling, laughing, friendly, and when they had to check out one of their coworkers, you could see the strong camaraderie amongst the employees. It looks like a fun place to work and the team works well together. I got dessert at another place in town. Enjoy the photos.
